It was awful. We wished we had taken the refund when they cancelled the show we were scheduled to see a few days before. This show was a gift to my mom, who loves the carpenters and even has their sheet music. I really wanted to enjoy the show but the combination of the bad wigs, the pianist's dumb jokes, and the singer's terrible pitch were too much to get past. I couldn't believe how bad the singer was. I felt horrible for my mom, she was so disappointed. We escaped ten minutes in. read more

We were really excited to transcend back in time and listen to the Carpenters . The first song "Karen" sang was pretty flat and although, "Richard', tried to be entertaining he simply was more corny than entertaining. I've heard other impersonators of the carpenters that sounded a lot better, and hence could be the reason only 25 people were present for the show. The show lasted about an hour, and we were glad it ended when it did. I noticed that Sally replies to almost every negative review and I'm not sure why because she should take this as constructive criticism to better the show. . read more

Tucked inside Planet Hollywood, this show is a true hidden gem. I think I might have been the only local here, but I had an absolute blast. I got my ticket at the box office and walked upstairs to the lobby area, where the bar was serving Carpenter-themed drinks. There was plenty of comfy seating while you waited for the show to start, and the bathrooms were clean. When the doors opened, a friendly man checked my ticket and showed me to my seat. I was pretty close to the front, as you can see from the videos! The artists did an absolutely fantastic job of taking you back in time. While I was born well after the 1970s, I knew quite a few of the songs! The performers did a great job of hyping up the crowd, encouraging us to sing and clap along. They also did an improvised piano solo mashup based on popular songs the crowd chose. Both singers had a beautiful vocal range, and I was really impressed by their technical talent. After the show, they sold tshirts and drinking glasses, and you could also meet the artists who put the show together. Overall, I definitely recommend watching this show- even if you don't know all the songs! read more

I have been a Carpenters fan since 1973 when I was in middle school. I was devastated by the untimely passing of Karen. I have also avoided tribute shows since I felt no one could possibly do justice to Karen's alto angelic voice. Well, Sally Olsen pulled it off with class and charm. She was totally respectful of Karen and sang well in her style and nearly perfect in her voice. Every time Sally said "Thank you" after a song it sounded just like Karen used to. The show brought a tear to my eye more than once as Ned and Sally channeled the memory, garb and energy of the original Carpenters. The price was very reasonable, the theater had good seats. At one point Ned (Richard) invited the audience to take photos, so I did. I do wish the show had been longer. They basically sang a few of Karen's Christmas songs and then they played all of the "Brown Album" aka "The Singles." This made the show a bit shorter that I hoped for, but I guess they couldn't play every song from every album. I recommend the show highly, it was definitely "yesterday once more." read more

Attended the carpenters show while at planet Hollywood in Vegas with my parents. There's two performing arts theaters. V theater and Saxe theater. This show is located at the V theater (7/17/24). Once you enter planet Hollywood from the parking structure head right. Follow the walkway and it'll be on the right hand side. You'll see all the posters of the current shows. Right next to the giant burlesque statue. Will call and tickets are on this floor. You will then be escorted to an elevator if you need assisted seating. The theater entrance will be on the second floor. Bathrooms are on second floor right by the entrance. A smaller venue all the seats have a great view. The sound was on point and background visual media added a lively flair. Vocals were so enjoyable and the smiles on the audience faces were the cherry on top. A great show for carpenter fans. After the show you can take some selfies with them by the entrance and purchase some fan merch. The parking structure can get a little crowded so just carve out some extra time. Especially if you need handicap accommodations. When you leave make sure to stop and pay inside planet Hollywood. Located right at the exit before heading back into the parking structure. Take the receipt with you. To avoid any delays I would also recommend take a picture of your paid parking on the kiosk screen. There's been a few times the receipt doesn't print. read more

We saw last night's show and thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre provides an intimate setting and if you close your eyes, it feels like you're hearing Karen Carpenter sing. Their performance is spirited and heartfelt. Sally's performance on the drums was a pleasant surprise. It made for a lovely evening to hear the classic songs of the 1970's. I went to see Carpenters Legacy in Las Vegas, and it turned out to be one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. From the opening number, it pulled me in. Sally's vocals were beautiful--smooth, warm, and so close to what made Karen Carpenter's voice unforgettable. At the same time, the performance didn't feel like an imitation. It had its own spark and energy, which made it special. The little touches made a big difference. Ned sounded amazing on the piano, the harmonies were on point, and the stage presence felt natural, not forced. You could tell the performers genuinely cared about the music. During many songs, I noticed so many people singing along, and that pretty much summed up the atmosphere in the room--pure connection. For me, the sincerity was the highlight. The show wasn't about trying to copy every note; it was about celebrating the Carpenters and reminding us why their music still matters. I walked out humming the songs, and honestly, I've been playing them again at home since. If you find yourself in Las Vegas and love great live music, this is a show I'd highly recommend. Attended the show on a Monday night with my husband and son, we're all big fans of Carpenters music. The show had a very small audience and even those of us with less desirable seats were moved to the front to fill spaces in. Music was way too loud, however, it did bring back some memories of the 70s listening to Karen Carpenter hits. Ned as Richard told cheesy jokes, but far too much time was spent listening to him play on the piano. Sally as Karen looked the part and she had a nice voice. Really fantastic show. Sally and Ned reproduce the Carpenters' 1976 London Palladium Concert really well, and both are skilled musicians. Ned is a fantastic pianist and Sally Olson can definitely hold her own when recreating Karen Carpenter's drum solos. The venue is small but quaint, and front row seats are very fairly priced. Enjoyable show. Ned is an incredible pianist and did the best version of Gillian's Island theme ever. Sally truly nailed the voice of Karen Carpenter. While a great show for all ages, you need to be a bit older to truly appreciate the recreation of the Carpenters. Talented artists, good flow and interesting backdrop. The two singers dress and pretend they are Karen and Richard Carpenter which was weird...then they have videos playing behind them and they don't match up with "Karen's" singing and "Richard's" piano playing. Sarah, who plays Karen is flat most of the time. To be fair, my husband, who doesn't know the Carpenters, didn't mind the show...he did mention "Karen" being off key, though. This show is a must see. Growing up in a rather small entertainment town in the early 2000s, my mom and dad were the first to introduce me to the Carpenters. Some of my early childhood memories consist of singing to the same songs performed in this show, along with others that my parents and I thought were fantastic, but often overlooked by the public eye. From known albums like Song For You and Close To You, they also performed arrangements from Horizon and the like. I was able to relive moments I had as a kid before my dad had passed, as music is a big focal point in my life. Though not only that, I had the opportunity to experience the same audience participation that I've only been able to dream of in videos, where Karen and Richard explains how we were their local group of kids! If you were a fan of the Carpenters, this tribute show is probably for you. Sally Olson and Ned Mills do a good job and portraying the Carpenters. They sing several songs in the just over an hour show. The venue is small and more of an intimate experience located at The Alexis Hotel. You can come early and grab a drink or food in the bar area, and there will be a cocktail waitress who comes around during the show as well. After the show Sally did a meet and great in the lobby. They offer a few souvenirs for sale and will charge you $10 to take a picture with them. read more

After the show I went to the counter and asked for a refund. This pair did not even come close to the Carpenter sound. Singer lady sings flat. Very flat! The employee at the counter agreed and told me the singer will not take correction or criticism because she thinks she sounds good! Amateur show at best but most amateurs know they don't belong with pros on the strip. Piano player was skilled but he needed real sound tracks to play along with to make it work. In short...save your money unless you are tone deaf...buy a Carpenters album instead. read more

Here are just a few reasons why I was so happy to have attended a Carpenters Legacy performance during my most recent trip to Las Vegas: 1. This was my first tribute show of any kind and...Wow! This was both an incredible performance and representation of classic Carpenters material. 2. As I was too young to have seen an original Carpenters show, this was also really my first opportunity to hear much of their work in a live setting with professional equipment. The theater had nice acoustics...the music was neither too soft or loud to my ears. You could tell that the performers revered the style of the Carpenters presentation and went out of their way to ensure that the performance was delivered in the best manner possible. 3. While many will walk away with a tremendous amount of respect for the performers vocals and playing (and I was certainly one of those who was captivated), the use of audio visual was also both noticeable and absolutely on point. Without spoiling, I can say that I really enjoyed seeing how this tribute matched up with performances in the 1970s by Karen and Richard. I would recommend this as a fun show, a time and space to hear great Carpenters songs and a place to hear two performers who must really love the original music. Well worth the price of admission for me and I hope to see this show again in Vegas or other places on tour. read more

Cute show! Was gifted some tickets for last nights Christmas re-creation show. The venue was super intimate, with comfortable seating. Sally sounded great, and even nailed a lot of Karen's mannerisms. There were a lot of Christmas songs which were nice..they did however do a melody of all their non-holiday hits at the end which my mom really loved. I did look at how much tickets were going for and they were like $100/pp! For a cover band?! Is Karen getting resurrected?! Not sure it's worth the hefty piece tag, but it sure was a cute show. read more
