I just purchasing flooring for an office/study in my home from the Carpet Exchange, 760 S Abilene, Aurora. It was an excellent experience from beginning to end. Customer service from Tyler and Frankie. They were knowledgeable, professional, and as you turns out (the finished job) spot on. Tyler was so patient answering my questions - a very genuine and winsome experience. And when it came to the installation, I could not be more pleased. Finally, a contractor who shows up when he tells you, and has great communication skills. Pablo was excellent! The quality and craftsmanship of the installation is the best. I have built two new homes, and I've had a little remodeling done. This was by far the best experience I've had dealing with people in this profession. Thank you Carpet Exchange! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went in on 2/9 at 5pm and the lady who works here and was "helping" us was extremely rude, talking to us like we were 5 years old. She is solely the reason why we will not be buying anything from this company. My husband and I were looking for a budget friendly carpet that was in stock for a project that we have a quick turn around time on. This lady was extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever, probably because we weren't looking to spend a ton of money. I wish I had remembered her name but I was so disgusted in the way we were being talked to that I quickly left the store. If you're looking for a budget friendly option or any in stock options this is not the place to go because these people will treat you like dirt and won't give a damn about it (specifically the lady who looks like Edna Mode from Incredibles). read more

I'm a general contractor and this is the second time I order from this store, both times told my material would be in the store in "about 7 days" both times it's been "delayed" and pushing on 11-12 days from initial date of order. Never using carpet exchange for anything again! Take your business elsewhere or call the manufacturer directly to get other options, don't waste your time with this place!! read more

I had Carpet Exchange install carpet in the basement level in April of 2025. First, I was promised an installation date, two days before that date, the manager called me and told me the carpet wasn't in stock, though I was assured at the time I placed the order that there was an abundance of my desired carpet. When the installers came out, they damaged the door frame to my front door, and they continually left my front door open, as they went in and out, even as I asked them not to. I am not a fan of bugs in my home. I was home the entire time of the install. There was a laundry basket in my son's room that I did not move, they moved it, called the folks at Carpet Exchange saying they moved it, and charged me $100 for it. They could have easily asked me to move it, and I would have, but if there is a way where they can scam you out of $100 after the fact, why not, right? The install was completed to my satisfaction, and I let them know I didn't want those installers out for he second half of the job. Carpet on the garden level was to be installed on July 4th, a national holiday, which happens to be my son's birthday as well. When I spoke with management, I was assured that they were working on that day. When I made the payment the day before the install on July, 3, again I was assured that they would be working and would be there between 8:30a-10:30a. I get a call at 10:26a telling me that the installers were a no call no show. I demand an explanation and for how my time will be compensated, since we had to cancel plans for my son's birthday. I am told that, it is a holiday, as if I wasn't aware, and that they could reschedule for another date, after the 14th, which is when I will be on vacation. Frankie, the associate who I spoke with, was condescending, rude, and not very helpful at all. He kept on saying he would have to speak with his manager to do any number of things. He told me the manager was still trying to get someone to come out, which never happened. He didn't have any solutions, other than a much later date for install. If you are interested in being charged $100 for them moving a laundry basket; if you are OK with being told carpet will be installed within a certain time frame, and it not being done; if you are interested in being lied to, and having no one take accountability for their actions, or having paid thousands of dollars for no services provided, if any or all of these are of interest to you, this is certainly the company for you. If not, I would highly recommend and suggest you take your business elsewhere. Today, is July 7th, I still have no carpet, no apology, and no refund. read more

After I posted my initial review, I heard from Brad, the Regional Sales Manager for Carpet Exchange. There was some misunderstanding about what I said regarding the installers not being required to clean up after themselves, so I figured I should clarify this. The installer did pick up the large pieces of carpet (expected and required) , but there were little pieces of carpet/ cut strands around (expected and not required) and there were most definitely staples (not expected). The good news is that we were reimbursed for our co-pay for the Tdap booster. The bad news is that it took a very public review to get action for things that should not have happened in the first place. We were just trying to put this nightmare behind us when Kim called to check in, and it was her "I could care less" attitude on the phone that prompted me to write my initial review because I just didn't feel like she gave AF. I thought it would be constructive to relay all the information in the initial review to her and at some point, she interrupted me and asked, "So did your carpet get installed or not?" Anyhow, Brad apologized on her behalf. There was follow-up and an attempt at resolution for us, and Brad emphasized that Carpet Exchange will make it known that their subcontractors cannot work for Carpet Exchange if they don't take COVID-19 precautions such as wearing a mask when interacting with customers. I needed flooring that was economical yet attractive for my basement. The home was built in 1930. I worked with a gentleman by the name of Jeremy. When he came to my home to measure he immediately saw that the floor was uneven and that I wanted the laundry room done as well. He directed me to a nice wood looking flooring that was flexible to adjust to the floor being not level,and one that was waterproof in case I ever had leakage in the laundry room. He also noticed I had very old tile down and told me I might need to have it tested for asbestos due to the age of the house. I did have it tested and the tile sure enough had asbestos! No one wanted to touch my project then! Jeremy helped me find a contractor that was experienced with asbestos and the work began! The floors look fantastic and the cost was very affordable. Jeremiah Bess (sales professional) and Sanat (flooring installation pro).. that was our team and we are very satisfied. Jeremiah was attentive and proactive working with us. He followed up frequently, answered all questions and seemed to genuinely enjoy seeing to all the details that would eventually lead to a successful installation. Sanat and his crew went above and beyond as well. They completed the installation on time and exceeded our standard for quality workmanship. Sanat is an artisan and it's evident in his work that he's a student of his craft (and teacher). We considered hard wood, engineered wood and vinyl products. In the end, we selected a luxury vinyl plank product for its durability and ease of maintenance. We have hard wood elsewhere in the house and love it so hesitated with this decision... very pleased thus far. Finally, kudos to Carpet Exchange on South Havana. I worked with Kim Reiter after a flood disaster in my basement in July 2018. Kim personally came out to my house to look at the project. Kim gave us several ideas to make our house look amazing! My wife and Ilooked at the options and upgraded from carpeting to cortex. Our basement is now the nicest room in the house! Kim assured us the quality and her customer service/follow up would exceed our expectations. And it did! We came here to shop for flooring for a small space and were looking for something in stock so that we could finish our remodel quickly as I'm expecting and due soon. We chose a floor and placed our order and paid for it. Only after we ordered the floor we were told that it wasn't actually in stock and would arrive in a week. This was disappointing because we were only focused on shopping for options that were in stock. The salesman reassured us it would get there in a week and we made all of the arrangements with our contractor. It's been over two weeks now and the floor is still not here. No one has notified us about the delay and people barely know the status of the order when we call. Really disappointing false advertising to say something is in stock and continue to delay the delivery without any communication to us. read more

My floors were finished, good product but bad installation. Initial interaction with sales associate was good. But, services delivered were not to the standards in which I discussed with the salesperson. Escalating the issue, its a challenge to get straight answers and results with Carpet Exchange. I requested the floors to be redone after stumbling on them. Only one of many issues. Approximately two months, the existing carpet was tucked into the hardwood, major tripping hazard I had to live with. Now after being tucked in, the doorway thresholds for the bedrooms are raw planks cut to fit underneath the doorjambs exposing the sharp edges. Nothing seems to be done right. This was done by one of their "top" contractors. I have only encountered unprofessionalism, lies, excuses and really no ownership for the services rendered. I have been continuously asking for my receipt for the hearth done; still no receipt. I was told by the sales associate to write a separate check directly for installer on the date of service. In hindsight, I can only conclude: questionable practices going on. I should not have to request a receipt on multiple occasions. I also requested an official letter in regards to why they are rejecting my request to redo the floors; manager rejected my request for an official documentation and later said she emailed corporate. I have yet to receive my document. My conclusion: no integrity and all stress. read more

I had a recent flood when my washing machine overflowed and had to replace my hardwood floors and carpeting in two rooms. I worked with Ben and his team. Because of the Corona virus they did the hardwood floors first and then a few months later finished the carpet job. Both teams that were sent were professional and courteous and always took precautions with my health. What a great customer experience and I will be going back to them and recommending Carpet Exchange to everyone I know. Thank you for having excellent customer service. read more

I went to the Carpet Exchange at Havana and Iliff looking for luxury vinyl plank flooring for a townhome I was purchasing. It was the first place I went to because it was convenient and I am glad I chose to go there. I needed to get the flooring installed just after closing and had a short window in which to get it installed. The store manager was so helpful in assisting me to choose the product that was right for me and their installation team was incredible! They did a great job and did it within my timeframe! They treated me as if I was their only client. I cannot say enough about their product and the service I was given. read more

Had a very poor experience with customer service here. Sales rep Kim didn't seem like she likes doing her job properly. Doesn't seem very helpful. Doesn't follow up with phone calls. Had my carpet installed even though I didn't have the best experience, I figured it was just her having issues that day. So I had it scheduled for install the following weekend. The installers did install my carpet the following weekend, but the worst thing is that they dinged and scraped up my newly painted walls!!! The closet sliding guides were also broken off! I had expressed this to the first rep that called me afterwards for the rest of the installment payment. She said she will have Kim call me. Waited 1 day no call from her, second day rolls by I hear from Kim and all she called for is for the remainder of the payment. She asked for me to take pictures of the damages. So I went in the following day. I guess she was off that day. A gentleman helped me with the remainder balance, which I paid. I expressed one more time about my walls being scraped ,dinged up and closet guides were broken. He said since Kim is not there. I would have to email her the pictures. (Which I sent it to her) He said he will leave her a note for her to call me, Till this 5th day I still haven't received a reply from her!!! At this point I'm over the issue and decided to write this review about this place. I had to repaint all the areas and fixed the guides to the closet myself. You won't get any repeat business from anyone,if they are treated poorly. Will not refer anyone to them. Customer service and installation is a nightmare! Hope anyone that is considering this place. I am so impressed with Carpet Exchange Aurora's customer service. I live in Maryland and needed some wood to finish my sunroom project, but my local place ran out and this was the only place I could find that had the exact wood I needed. I had the pleasure of working with the receptionist Anika, who eased my mind and calmed me down after FedEx messed up my pickup three times in a row. In the end, she went out of her way to make it work and ensure that I got my wood for my project. While shopping for new flooring for our basement, we received excellent customer service from Jason, who had just transferred to this store from a different location. He asked us lots of questions, showed us around, and told us about several different types of carpet. He even let us borrow a sample board free of charge. We decided we didn't want to pay the price for the luxurious carpet we selected and needed some time to think about it. The next weekend, we went back to the store to select different carpet but Jason was no longer at that store. With little further assistance from the sales staff, we found our second choice, paid our deposit, and got contact information for the guy who does the measuring. Once the measuring was completed, we scheduled installation and they showed up promptly with a call beforehand to let us know they were on the way. We were told that the measurer was a subcontracter and that the installers were Carpet Exchange employees, which seemed to hold true. During the installation, the crew supervisor informed us that the measurer didn't do his job correctly so there wasn't enough carpet to finish the job (they were able to do everything but the smaller of the two bedrooms). After a week's delay, the entire job was finally completed. Except the second time we had too much carpet left over. Mr. P. traded voice mails with our salesperson to try and set up a time for them to come by and pick up the extra carpet. Since the sales guy never followed up with us and since we were never charged for the additional materials, the extra carpet is now taking up space in the garage. Overall, I'm happy with the carpet (even though I didn't want carpet in the first place but that's another story) and the install job. Carpet Exchange is a Colorado company and I love supporting local businesses. Hopefully we are done buying flooring for our house but the next time I need an area rug, I know where to go. read more

I do not recommend shopping here. The manager sent my delivery to the wrong address and this was after many previous problems involving more than a year of Shaw and I trying to resolve a warranty. This is in addition to the problems with the first instal five years ago. Yes, I've had problems with them since 2013 without proper resolution. You can buy Shaw products from a more reputable company than Carpet Exchange and I recommend doing so. read more

Really fair pricing in carpet. Sales people are helpful and extremely knowledgable. Helped guide us through our selection and purchase, very patient when we had second thoughts on the color. Carpet installers were scheduled a month out. Refused to install because they didn't have room to cut the carpet inside. Several phone calls later a different installer came and took care of it with only minor scratches to moved furniture. Looked great. Composite Wood flooring was installed. When installer was putting back on the baseboards, they punctured the hot water line and flooded the basement. Leak was small at first so it wasn't noticed until the next day when the kitchen wall ballooned out. Manager at carpet exchange was cold and uninterested in helping and agent who was in charge of the order tried to make it seem like it was our fault, until he came to the house and saw how the new nail in the baseboard connected right to the hot water line. Repairs cost over 1,000 which the installer (not Carpet Exchange) reimbursed but was very aggressive to deal with. Stair caps took 2 months to come in but they were for the wrong finish. I was so tired with dealing with them I let it go. 2 yeas later the carpet looks brand new still but the composite wood floors and dented and scratched like butter. With mid to low light, they do look great. The bummer about it is I now want to carpet my basement with the same carpet that I put in upstairs but there's no way I'd go through Carpet Exchange again. I realize things "just happen" and apparently I had a lot of things "just happen", but it was the attitude all around that spoiled it. Everyone was friendly until something went wrong. read more

The installation quality is poor with large spaces between the wood pieces. My stairs with no rail. Dealing with my third contractor. This is what nightmares are made of. read more

I went to Carpet Exchange to get new flooring and was greeted by Jeff Keller. He was so helpful and professional throughout the entire process. I was looking for flooring with some cherry accents in the wood and he had said that there was a sample that was out that day but that I might like it. I went back the next day and it was just what I wanted. Jeff answered all of my questions and went line by line with me on the order so that I understood all of the charges. He was so great to work with! The guys that installed my flooring did a wonderful job too. Sanat's team was so detailed and efficient. They cleaned up afterward and left me with a beautiful new floor. I had an excellent experience the whole way around with Carpet Exchange and will definitely be going back! Thanks Jeff!! read more

Buyer beware.... Do not use carpet exchange. Installation was terrible. Literally pieces that they used to "patch" or hide areas where they mis-measured were coming up after a week or two. Not returning calls to correct the issue and I'm not a difficult person to work with. Probably going to have to go to small claims court or get ahold of the better business bureau. Will gladly pay lawyer to make them do the right thing and actually install carpet correctly not to mention this is their profession. $4000 mistake. read more

So as you can see Evelyn responded to my review immediately asking me to contact her. I've been trying both by email and phone to get ahold of her and there is no response! VERY unimpressive! They gave me a "credit" for fixing the vacuum but the guy writes "paid short $25" instead of credit $25 on the invoice...really??? That implies that I didn't pay them not that they gave me a credit! How unprofessional are these people? He was great at finding the right carpet but after that it's been all down hill! So below is what I wrote to Evelyn in response to her note on here Monday morning and have had no response! A great example of what I'm referring to is when Kim writes that in our first conversation all I complained about was how old and slow the installers were. That is totally inaccurate! I started by telling her they went to the wrong address and consequently were 1.5 hours late arriving which in the summer would not be a problem but when it gets dark early they had to work until about 6pm at which time it was very dark in the living room where they were installing the steps. Obviously they had taken out all lighting and furniture so there was very little light. Also, because they were so late and one of the two installers was 65 and was not able to get much done and the other one had to finish his work they left a fair amount of mess behind. BEFORE the installers were scheduled I had asked Gary Essex to please be sure to let them know they needed to clean up thoroughly because I have a new puppy and a cat. He said he made notes to the installers to do that. Kim told me in no uncertain terms that the installers are not required to clean up at all, which I find hard to believe. So I replied that Gary should have told me that when I asked him the above. All of this and more was in that conversation. Further they left something plastic behind which I picked up with my vacuum which broke my vacuum. I requested that Carpet Exchange reimburse me the $25 to fix the vacuum. I also mentioned that the receipt I had was inaccurate based on what my credit card was charged. She said they were aware of that. I replied that they should have made ME aware of it and sent me a new receipt. The customer should not have to do this much work after all the work we do moving furniture, etc. and paying the bill! When you and I speak I will fill you in on some other issues. But as you can see from the above Kim is not the best contact for upset or unhappy customers! read more

I don't normally leave reviews, although I say to myself that I will time and time again, but when you receive great service and have a great experience, I think that deserves recognition. My wife and I recently had new carpet installed and we used Carpet Exchange on Havana. We had the opportunity to work with Janel. She was great. She was straight to the point, listened to my wants and helped me find exactly what we wanted. She wasn't pushy either. During the install, there was a little hiccup with the work order, but she handled it professionally and resolved our issue with more than what we expected. Mistakes happen, I get it. We worked it out and she took care of us. We appreciate the professionalism and doing what's right! We love the new carpet, it looks great, and we are incredibly happy. Thanks again!! read more

Kim was quite helpful, let me take home a sample, and communicated well every step of our purchase. The installers took out the old carpet, laid the new flooring and had everything done in 1/2 day. They were respectful and cleaned up after themselves. We are now looking at other rooms to install new flooring we like it so well. Will definitely go back to see Kim. read more

I recently bought a new home and hired Carpet Exchange (this location) to redo all of the floors in my new place. I took out the vinyl flooring and added hardwood floors throughout my kitchen, bathroom, dining and living room and changed the old carpet with new carpet in the bedrooms. I am VERY pleased with everything. The carpet is great quality and the dark hardwood floors are beautiful. There were some minor issues that the manager Kim handled very quickly. She was professional, courteous and made sure I was happy. I was very pleased with her level of service and how she truly cares about her customers. I have purchased tile before from another Carpet Exchange location. Great price, product and service. However, nothing compares to the service at the 2121 S Havana Street Location. Specifically from Janel Wilson. This fine young lady knows her stuff. If you want someone who is friendly, not pushy, seasoned and experienced, you need to see Janel. She is proactive and goes out of her way to make sure everything is right. It is hard to find superior service these days, Janel will take care of you and help you stay within budget and get you just what you need. read more

I purchased my carpet and everything was delightful until recently when I noticed a snag and that it was pulling away from the wall. Now that I have a problem they have been completely unresponsive. The fast-talking sales person is nice, don't get me wrong, but it's been a week+ and no response when he said he would get back to me. My mom had MAJOR problems with them and they wouldn't fix the carpet (she's still living with the bulges). They assured us things had changed when we bought mine. I will tell you, this is not the case. Great with the initial sale and awful with taking care of the customer. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

They don't deliver on promises or on carpet. I wish I'd read these reviews prior to letting my 76 year old mother put money down for carpet delivery. When no one showed an hour after the window time, we had to call them to find out why. Only then did they tell us there'd been a breakdown with ONE of their trucks so no delivery would be forthcoming. It can, of course, be rescheduled to have us sit around for another delivery that likely won't come. Forget that everything was moved and packed away or that we took the day off work to accommodate the delivery. When I talked to the a Manager, she had the audacity to talk to me like I was being unreasonable in my request for an alternate solution. The sales guy actually laughed at me and told me to go with a higher priced competitor. A deal is not a deal if there's no product. Shame on you, Carpet Exchange. read more

Installed the wrong color carpet; agreed to fix it which required me to move in and out of bedroom twice (requiring furniture assembly, disassembly, assembly) because it would take weeks for them to re-schedule the install. When they showed up for their second install, they had the wrong carpet again. The entire ordeal was obviously frustrating, and the general manager's cavalier indifference made it more so. There is no shortage of carpet places, they all use the same local installers and get materials from the same manufacturers; I'd recommend finding another store. read more

Not a good experience. They are dishonest people. They billed me $400 extra to move furniture and claimed I approved the charge. I had already agreed to $140 for them to move furniture. This was a 2 bdrm appt. that had no large furniture left in it. The installers thought it was a good idea to toss the old carpet out the 5th floor window into the parking lot. The HOA was called and these guys were surprised this was a problem. No one was injured and no vehicles damaged thank goodness. The installers claimed to have had to use the stairs which slowed there work. I sat in the lobby the whole time they were hauling carpet by way of the elevator. Carpet Exchange managers had no problem with any of this. I will make certain that everyone who lives in Heather Gardens is aware of the quality of people they are dealing with. read more
