They had to come back and redid the stairway carpet, the center of each staircase was clean somewhat but both sides were still dirty and stained under bright light. There were stains in the living room that they also redid but still not clean and smelled bad. I ended up renting a steam carpet machine and was able to lift out most of the remaining stain and the nasty pet odor, the 2 five gallons bucket of used water from the machine were brown, smelly and dirty. So my verdict was they didn't do a thorough job and I would not recommend them. read more

I have used Conan (Carpets Inc) several times. His prices are very fair and the work is par excellance! I was in the carpet cleaning business for years; some years ago, but I understand and appreciate the system he uses. He uses a steam based system but with very dry cleaner. The carpets are only slightly damp when he finishes. All of the spots and soil came out. The truck based machine is upwards of $45,000 to buy. This is the absolute best you can get. Conan leaves everything very clean, no mess or stray water when he leaves and he is very professional. I highly recommend him. It is also advisable to clean your carpets 1-2 times per year to keep them at their best, so we make it a point to have him back about every 6 months and he always does an amazing job! Conan worked with my schedule to find a time for the carpet cleaning I wanted and he was super friendly start to finish. He came in and efficiently cleaned my carpets and it removed some long worn in stains I had failed to get out. Afterwards, he took a metal rake and removed some woven in hair in my carpet and I really appreciated it. The whole appointment took not even an hour which was nice and left my apartment looking great. We had a nice chat throughout the process and I will definitely rehire him in the future. A helpful tip is that you need to have a place for him to park that's really close to the carpet you want cleaned, as his van is what runs his carpet cleaner. I came across Carpets Inc. through Groupon and thought I would give the company a try. After my experience with Conan and Carpets Inc., I can understand why they would need to drum up new business using Groupon, but they will never get it if they wont let their customers use their Groupons for their services! I made an appointment for a Monday and had written it down for noon. I never received a confirmation call the day prior and was surprised when the representative for Carpets Inc. showed up at my door at 9 am! Of course my husband and I weren't ready for him yet (an observation even Conan himself made using a very rude & sarcastic tone). After a few minutes of scrambling around, it was decided that we would reschedule for another time. Unfortunately the date that we rescheduled for ended up not working out for us either so I called and left a voicemail for Conan notifying him of the cancellation and asking to be called back so we could move the carpet cleaning out for later in the month when I knew my husband and I would both be home. I never received a return call. When I called a few days later to follow-up I was told that it is their company policy not to service customers after their second cancellation, REGARDLESS OF THE REASON! Do these people not understand that "life" happens? Our reason for cancelling the first time was partially their fault! Had they called ahead of time to confirm the time, we would have been ready for him and therefore would have received the service we paid for! Throughout all of our conversations, both over the phone and in-person, Conan's tone was short and rude. Conan states in his message from the business on this very Yelp page that "In his former careers he has learned the value of excellent customer service". Well my friend, I think you need to go back for a refresher on how to provide that excellent customer service that you speak of, because I certainly did not experience anything that looked or felt like excellent customer service. While you're at it, maybe you could learn about some business "best practices" and begin implementing them? Because your so called "company policies" that you are currently enforcing will only make your business fail. read more

I couldn't have had a better experience. Conan cleaned our carpets today and was courteous and professional from our first telephone conversation to the completion of the cleaning. We just bought our house, and the people who lived there previously left the carpets in shambles. There were big coffee stains and various unknown substances all over. He got out almost all of the stains (except for the red fruit punch, which he managed to lighten quite a bit). All of this work was done for a fraction of the cost of competitors. I had waited a bit too long in between carpet cleanings and was looking for a company that would A) do a good job B) could work around MY work schedule c) was reasonably priced D) that could get the high traffic/spots clean .... No problem - Conan to the rescue. Conan arrived early, immediately reviewed the areas he would be cleaning and then went straight to work getting his equipment set up and starting the job. There was NO high pressure sales to "upgrade" or sales of extra product or cleaner that I've experienced with past companies. Conan was professional, efficient, fast and did quality work. I had 3 rooms cleaned and there were high traffic/dirty spots in each room that now look great. He groomed the carpet when he was finished and offered suggestions to aid in the dry time.
