So I approached the counter and told them what I needed, but needed recommendations for something that wasn't necessarily the cheapest, but a replacement of inexpensive wiper blades. Omar looked everything up in his computer and found options. Shout out to Omar who originally delegated the assistance to his colleagues since he was busy at the front cashier, but ultimately was the one who helped me changed my wiper blades and was extremely friendly about it. Said I was gonna learn how to change my wiper blades last year, but I'm obviously back tonight since I never remember instructions. But Omar assured me not to worry "as that's what they were there for". That's the ultimate customer service you can always be guaranteed at this store. The employee helping me was easily able to look up the right battery type based on the make and model and even offered to help me carry it to my car, as it was a bit heavy. While I didn't take him up on it, I appreciate the thought and that he held the door for me on my way out. When returning the old battery, the employees in the store at that time were a little less attentive (maybe there's more stuff for them to do in the daytime, so they were probably busy), but still polite. Hopefully I won't be needing a new battery anytime soon, especially since it's kind of a pain to replace on a Prius, but this is a convenient and satisfactory place for my future car related needs.

Location: Fremont shop. It's at a corner of the complex where side parking spots are available. Caution: there's a blind spot at the corner with no corner mirror and car would just drive through at decent speed assuming no one is there. So don't stand at the middle of the road and be careful. Quality 5: Great work and sent me pictures to reassure the work they'd done Cost 5: very reasonable. Provided many options that tailored to my need. The engine was showing signs that it was heading toward a head gasket failure, which is unfortunately a common issue on these cars if the EGR system isn't serviced regularly. John replaced the engine with a low-mileage motor at a very fair price and had the car back to me in just three days. He also took the time to swap over several newer parts from my original engine, which I really appreciated. The car is running strong now, with no cold-start rattle or shaking like I was experiencing before. I'm very happy with the service, turnaround time, and overall experience. Unlike their nearby competitors, they go out of their way to make it work. Aaron (I think that was his name) literally ran to grab the battery tester, ran outside to test my car, and quickly got me the answers I needed as to whether or not my battery was causing me trouble, or something else in the starter system. He recommended a new battery (that was not the most expensive option...), lent me tools, and was otherwise very helpful. All the while "doing me a favour" by checking my car even though they have a policy of "not going outside the store after 5pm" (another potentially silly policy--except maybe for safety or security--but still, not great for customers who need help and want to use their "free battery check" that they advertise. Anyway, happy with my experience at this store, especially after a terrible one at AutoZone on 13th 15 minutes earlier. Will go here first from now on.
