Labor being offered 2 years later to make up for having to pay for his shops work to be redone only after seeing a review. I brought my Grand National to Isaac at 408 Garage to fix a leak. He ended up not being able to figure out what the leak was. The turbo was leaking(he fixed that), but the engine was still leaking as well. While I had the car there, I also had him do a full Ridetech suspension setup and Wilwood brakes front and back. After a while, we still couldn't figure out the leak, but I kept being told the car was good. In the meantime, I would occasionally pick up the car and drive it around the general area, usually just a short distance to the gym and back home. I never felt completely right driving the car, so I kept the driving to a minimum. Eventually, I drove the car to the East Bay to a shop that specializes in Grand Nationals. On the way there, I was driving on 680, which is known for sudden stop-and-go traffic. I had to brake pretty hard and the car pulled to the right so bad that it pulled nearly halfway into the next lane. I mentioned this to the mechanic as soon as I got there. Over the next few hours and days, I was able to watch the mechanic go through the car and point out problem after problem with the work that had been done. A lot of the work was dangerously Jerry rigged. The centering sleeves that came with the suspension kit and are supposed to go into the upper control arms were left out. This was part of what caused the car to pull to the right under hard braking. There were also lug nuts that had been drilled out to work around the setup, wrong-size bolts used on the control arms and other areas, missing fittings, and the parking brake had been snapped because there wasn't enough slack left in it. There were other things wrong that I haven't even listed here, but the mechanic went over all of it. I ended up having to pay out of pocket to have the entire suspension taken off and redone correctly, along with having some of the brake work corrected. So I basically had to pay twice for work I had already paid 408 Garage to do. While all of this was going on, Isaac heard that a shop in the East Bay was vaguely mentioning a shop in San Jose that is known for working on high-end vehicles. Isaac was upset about it and asked me about it. He was actually relieved when I told him I had removed the 408 Garage stickers he had put on the windows before taking the car to the other shop. When I told him about the dangerous work that was found on my car, his response was that the employee who did the work had been let go a while ago and that he would've loved to have had the employee that's good with suspensions take a look at it. Credits to him on that but with the work that was done I wouldn't have felt comfortable letting them do that since this was the work they did in the first place. Also the offer doesn't mean too much when it was being shown all the work was being redone in real time on ig. videos of everything l've said are on my YouTube.

I told them the issue then took the keys and let me know it is a 10 minute wait before my turn. I went inside and waited and they even offered me a free cold beverage for the hot day. Nice clean and AC waiting are as well. Today I had to replace the entire tire but it was fairly price and still in and out less than 30 min prob. Super fast and friendly and good work, they have my loyalty (but hopefully I won't need to use their service too often and avoid all the nails in the road).
