I feel like Carrabba's Italian grill is slept on. The quality of the food is pretty good. I personally never had a bad meal all the times I've been to Carrabba. This time around we got the classic combination and the crab cakes for appetizers! I enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and calamari the most. The Bruschette Caprese was okay but not my favorite out of the other two. Then I got the Linguine and clams for my entree and I definitely enjoyed that. My sister ordered the rigatoni martino and she said it was very good and that she definitely recommends that. The time that we went, they also had a deal going that if you wanted to order an entrée, you can order one to go for just $10. So we decided to take advantage of that deal. We ordered the mezzaluna and another order of crab cakes to go. I definitely recommend checking out this location. The service is always great and kind. Also all the times I've been it has not been crowded and always got seated right away. read more

After supporting some Small Businesses Saturday, worked up an appetite. Been craving for Carrabba's since moving to North Jersey. We were in the area and decided to make a detour to stop in for lunch. Just as with every other Carrabba's...everything--from the service to the food--was spot on. The place is clean and nicely decorated as with other Carrabba's. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, great for a casual lunch date or a family dinner. Our servers (one in-training) were incredibly friendly and kept checking in without hovering, which we always appreciate. Our favorite...the bread with herb oil, along with the Shrimp Scampi is the best! Our entrees were cooked to perfection. Prices are reasonable for the portions, and we left absolutely satisfied. Planning on returning...even though it is out of the way...highly recommend! read more

Celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary, coming to Carrabba's was our first choice! From the soft, warm served bread with dipping seasoning in olive oil .....to the decadent apple caramel crumble dessert, we did not stop chewing and smiling from ear to ear! Our waitress Cindy was so attentive and friendly! The flow of customers dining was busy, yet the layout of the restaurant did not make the atmosphere feel too overwhelming. Came with a large group and got an assortment of entree. To start, we had the tomato and Burrata appetizer, and the peach and blackberry sangrias, and a Prosecco. For entrees, we had an assortment of pastas, the Lobster Ravioli and the 10oz Sirloin with a side of sautéed spinach and broccoli. Such a great time. Good quality ingredients, leisurely service and plenty of parking but they're very heavy on the black pepper to the point that it overpowered almost everything we ate. I'm a person that's fine with "spice" and didn't mind it but 2 of the 4 felt the food was too peppery. We ordered the grilled chicken, the Italian chicken sampler, a scallop and shrimp pasta. We liked the taste but wished for less pepper. We came at lunch. If I were to go back, I'd definitely get the grilled chicken. It was tasty. The cannoli was also excellent. The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. It's a high quality chain restaurant and the food is good if you don't mind black pepper. read more

I've heard of Carrabbas but never ate inside until yesterday. The environment was very clean and comforting. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a wine sample. I went for their happy hour deals and got an entree as well.Their happy hour is from 4-7PM and they have this thing where if you get an entree you can get another meal for just $10 and it doesn't have to be the meal you ordered! I absolutely love Carrabba's in Green Brook, but today I'm a tad bit disappointed. I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Linguini alla Vodka. When I arrived outside of the restaurant my food was delivered promptly to my car before I could even tell them I was there ( I just love that type of customer service). The service has always been prompt and friendly in the past and today was no different. I got my food and headed home. I couldn't wait to arrive home, because the food smelled so good. I could already taste the shrimp and scallops in my mind. I got home, pulled out paper plates for myself and my son, (not in the mood to di dishes) but as I was fixing our plates, I noticed we only had scallops and no shrimp. I double checked to make sure I ordered the right thing and received the right order; which was confirmed by my receipt. In addition, they were extremely stingy with my Cesar salad (see pic). While my food is delicious, it would have been better with the shrimp as advertised and ordered. If for some reason the restaurant was out of shrimp they should have at least told me, but I feel someone just forgot to add the shrimp to the dish. I know I will go back again in the future, but hopefully this doesn't happen again read more

I've been coming to this Carrabba's location over a decade and we've always had a great experience!! Food: Carrabbas has some of the crispiest calamari and easily the best fried mozzarella. The sauce on the stuffed mushrooms was delicious too. We really enjoyed the newly added crab cakes and the red pepper sauce. The rigatoni martino has always been my favorite dish. They got rid of it for a few years, but I was so excited when it came back! The sauce is decadent, pasta perfectly al dente and delicious, flavorful chicken. My wife really enjoyed her trio, especially the lasagne. I also get the Sicilian chicken soup every time we come. It has a slight kick and it's very well seasoned. Ambiance: carrabbas has a very warm, inviting feel. The restaurant is a bit more dimly lit which makes it feel cozy. It looks like they made some updates with newer flooring which was nice, too. Service: our server was great and attentive. We had prompt refills on drinks and their delicious, warm bread. Overall, you really wouldn't know that carrabbas is a chain. They have delicious, quality food and a great selection. read more

I just ordered on door dash & I am thoroughly impressed with the care and efficiency they took when packing this meal! You can tell they value customers experience & I most definitely did! I love the way the iced tea comes! & it was delicious! Serviced WITH lemons! I got strawberry. They also sent it with bread & the fixings to make the olive oil dip! I LOVED that!!!!!! We dined here at the Feast of the Seven Fishes wine dinner and enjoyed this event very much. I always wanted to attend this Italian American tradition, and I jumped at the chance when I learned that Carraba's was having one. The price was extremely reasonable for a five course meal (bread, appetizer, soup, pasta course, entree and dessert) paired with a different wine at each course for $60 per person. The food was good quality and plentiful; the service was efficient and pleasant; and the manager was very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasant holiday season evening. They have a wine dinner each month, so I will check and see when one will interest me again. I must admit I did take some Tupperware containers for some leftovers, which I discreetly used. After all, I am not used to eating a full five course meal with wine at each course, but some leftovers made a good lunch the next day. I will definitely go back. read more

I got together with my boyfriend's family for his sister's birthday. When I arrived I parked in their lot. I walked in and found my party. We were sat at a large table and we asked for something smaller. Nicole our server didn't seem to like that and her attitude changed from there. We started with drinks and she was so hard to find at times and she just was not nice. For my entree I for the linguini with shrimp and mussels and I will say that was good. The next day, My friend went with his family and was told that the service charge was included. Carrabba's is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in NJ. Great location, authentic cuisine, perfect portions. The linguine positano is one of my favorites. I'm still devastated that they took the Pasta Georgio off the menu. I'm a huge fan of the sirloin with marsala sauce, paired with the spinach and parmesan fries. I've eaten at Carrabba's plenty of times before, although not this location. I ordered delivery via DoorDash and the only edible part was the bread. The salad was wilted. The dish I ordered Shrimp & Scallops with broccoli was absolutely inedible. It arrived ice cold. The sauce seemed like it came straight from the fridge. The scallop I bit into was raw while the broccoli was steamed into oblivion. I didn't even try a bite of the shrimp after biting into the raw scallop. The delivery didn't take longer than it was supposed to, so there's really no reason for it to arrive cold. No excuse for this meal, which was pretty much $30 down the drain. read more

The drinks are on point, the staff is very accommodating. On Sunday 11/22/20 I visited for the 1st time since the world shut down. After a rough start to my weekend, I was in the mood for a drink and some good ole comfort Italian comfort food with the girls and in recent weeks my friend told me about a Pear Margarita that she had there and she raved about how good it was so she suggested we go get us one! We arrived and were surprised to see a full staff waiting to greet and assist us! We were seated and given menus. I didn't really need on as I had already known what I was there for!! LOL The foodie I am.. I LOVE THEIR SAUSAGE LENTIL SOUP!!! It's SUPER AMAZING!!! I literally buy it by the tubs!! LOL They had removed it from the menu during the Summer months but it's SOUP SEASON NOW and its baaaaacccck!! It's a hearty full body soup that is very well seasoned and just takes like heaven on 1st sip!!! The Manager Peter and our server Dematrius made sure our entire Carrabba's experience was what we remembered PRE RONA. We ordered 3 Pear Margaritas and they were soooo yummy that we had to order another round!! They were out of this world type tasty!! LOL I ordered my normal Chicken Alfredo but got super full off bread & soup. My Chicken Alfredo was cooked to perfection, as well as my friend who ordered the same. Their sauteed garlic spinach... bomb!   We also order Calamari & Shrimp Scampi!! We loved it and it felt good to be out in a normal safe setting as they are practicing social distancing protocols. I hate to be negative, but the pizza was not good. You can go to just about any corner pizza place in NJ and get better pizza. I was here with family from Chicago- notorious for bad thin crust- and they thought it was "just" good. It tasted a bit Dominos-esque. It's a smaller place, but go to Fiamma's Wood Fired Pizza. This is an updated review. We were discouraged by recent visits where the service was a major problem. Thankfully the management took notice of our problems and invited us back to prove that they can shine. And they did. We were given polite and proper attention from our server and the manager on duty. Delivery of our drinks and appetizer was timely, our main courses were wonderful examples of how tasty Carrabba's meals are. They were on the ball for the whole visit. Our son's tea was refilled without even getting a chance to ask about it. The whole visit was a pleasure and we are so happy to see that Carrabba's is making the effort to put the customer first. Well, it's been a while since I've done a review, but the absolutely terrible service at Carrabba's Italian Grill has prompted me to begin again. To be succinct, I have never experienced the level of incompetence from both a waitress and a manager at the same time, that I did on this night. From the horribly long wait, to the sheer lack of knowledge, I left feeling like I should have just stayed home. To start, I was there celebrating a friend's birthday and we had a reservation for 6pm. We got their early and they told us we had to wait for our table. They said to wait in the car and they would let us know when the table was ready. The table was ready a little after 6. We sat down and ordered drinks and water. Some of the drinks came and some didn't. One of the people in our group had to ask a different waitress to see when their drink would be ready. If we only knew this would be one of the best parts of the meal or at least the quickest. Next we put in orders for appetizer and entrees. All good so far. The waitress then brings us bread and oil...and more bread and oil...and more bread and oil. What is going on here? I'm all for free bread, but by now it's been almost 45 minutes since we placed the order for the food. Where is it? Appetizers? Hello? Finally the soup/salad and the appetizers come out and they're actually good. Nothing over the top but good. Wish they it took less time. The entrees came out 30 minutes after the other food. The place was busy but not so busy that it should be this long of a wait. The food was hot, but by this time we had so much bread that it was almost as if the main course was an afterthought. What a shame and the waitress was stopping by the table less and less so we could not even ask when the food might be coming out. When it came time to pay is when the real problems began. We alerted the waitress that we were ready for the check and she said that she would be back roughage away. What a lie that was. She seemingly disappeared off the face of the planet. We didn't even see her at other tables. It took a mind boggling 50 minutes for her to come back with the check that was split. Guess what: it was wrong. One check had just the entree, the other had 4 alcoholic drinks, and still another had an unordered appetizer. How could they messed this up so badly. They said that they would fix it but guess what again: the checks came back again and they were wrong! How? The waitress moved items around but to the wrong checks. More and more time went by until one of the people in our group finally called the manager and he tried to help rectify the issue. As if sticking with the theme of the night he had no idea what he was doing. He ran back and forth and did not communicate with us what was going on. Oh but don't worry he said he was just as frustrated as we were. YEAH RIGHT. Finally on the third time they got it right. How can a place be so disorganized and dysfunctional? A mess of a wait staff and a manager who does not want to take control of the situation. Excuses for poor performance. I will not be back here. I will tell others not to go here. They need to work on everything, right down to the basics. So much for the birthday celebration. With the wait times you might as well plan the funeral! All I can say is BE BETTER! read more

The service was terrible. Party of four and when we came in the place wasn't too busy. We were seated in a table with a wobbly booth and holes all over the wall. Our server took forever to come and take our drink orders. After waiting fifteen minutes for drinks he said we don't have half the drinks we asked for and then shortly after we got the new drinks. It was like we were constantly an after thought. After getting drinks (25 mins) we finally got some bread and oil. We had to ask another server for our waiter because he was again no where to be found. He came back and had terrible energy, "you guys are ready to order now?" In an accusatory tone. Still trying to be nice we ordered politely and tried to make a joke and he just looked blank. Once our starters came out they forgot one of them. Our food came out 10 minutes after. We devoured our food because we were starving. Food was decent but was hard to appreciate because of the uncomfortable bitter waiter. After eating we waited another 20 minutes before our waiter finally came and we asked for the bill. He just took our plates and took five minutes to bring our bill from around the corner. Another five minutes later he comes and picks it up and brings it back immediately and suddenly has the nicest energy ever, "happy holidays you guys stay safe out there have a goodnight!!", only because he knew it was tip time.
