I had the lunch steak sandwich with a side of broccoli. Our food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The restaurant was clean and comfortable to dine in. We showed up on a Wednesday at around 11:45 am and were seating as soon as we walked in the door. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time. It opened at 11:00 am. There was 1 couple ahead of us in line, the restaurant is almost completely empty (it's 8pm, they close at 9pm) and we all stood around for 15min or longer waiting to hear from someone. The couple in front of us left. Later, we sat outside on the patio, there was food in both of our menus. Well, I ordered and ended up with hair in my salad, the waiter saw me notice and pull it out. but the waitress was nice. I've only been here 3 times, but I've never had this issue. The water is tap btw you can really taste it. I personally don't expect to pay that much on food and end up drinking faucet water. read more

I had a wonderful dinner here last week. From the bread to dessert, including a non alcoholic beverage dinner was wonderful. We got there during happy hour so drinks and apps were discounted. I had the habenero lemonade and it was delicious! We had the garlic shrimp on focaccia and I could have eaten 10 of them. Fresh, well cooked and garlicky. Next for dinner I had the 10 oz sirloin with garlic broccoli and garlic spinach. My hubby had the bigger steak, I think it was the ribeye. He was very happy with his steak, came with butter flavored with a spicy sauce and was happy with his grilled asparagus and garlic broccoli. For dessert we shared a strawberry cheesecake which nicely fed us both as the slice was big. I will definitely be back to eat a good and tasty dinner. read more

All I can say is perhaps I caught them on a bad night, because the parking lot always seems to be busy when I drive past this place. Everything I had was terrible. The expresso martini tasted like pure herseys syrup. The drink was so thick you could not swirl it around. I told my waiter I didn't think they gave me an expresso martini, maybe a chocolate one? He said they always put a lot of chocolate in theirs. I took two sips and told him I could t drink it and to take it away. Cost me $12. Horrible. My soup was over salted. The pasta was dry but to be fair, my eggplant was good. My meal was $42. I tipped $8 even tho I really felt the server should have at the very least apologized for my drink and sent the manager over or took the drink off my tab. If he had done that his tip would have been larger. I blame that on poor training having been a server myself, I would have never shrugged off a complaint. I will not be returning. read more

We love Carrabba's wine pairing night! We went to last week's "Crushing It" pairing dinner on the 19th (March) and again to this weeks "Sangria Soirée" on the 26th. We always love the variety of wines/drinks paired with the great food. We have gotten lucky the last few times having Josh as our server! He is very professional and attentive to our needs and he has a great personality! All the servers are great though, but Josh is our favorite! We never miss a pairing night unless we are out of town, which always makes us sad when that happens. Tracy runs a great restaurant and makes us feel like family. Thank you Josh and thank you Tracy! Wife and I were seated in the bar area at 7pm. We were in no hurry and joked about not being asked for drinks after 5 min. The restaurant was not empty but not busy by any means. After a few more minutes a threesome was seated behind us, after a minute the server waited on them first. We got up and asked to speak to the manager. Really great place for Italian food in Johnson City. I have had several company dinners here as well as dining by myself. Every meal starts with fresh bread served with olive oil poured at the table and topped with fresh herbs -- this is a great way to start any Italian meal and I for sure was left asking for more. The service here is first rate -- everyone from the host to the servers and bartenders know what good service is all about. They have a full and well priced wine menu if you would like a glass or bottle with dinner. Even though this is a chain the food truly is made fresh and has an authentic taste to it. They have a full menu with something for everyone from seafood, steaks, chops, pasta and wonderful salads and calamari. Many of the dishes are cooked in the wood fired oven you can see from much of the restaurant. My personal favorites are in the small plates appetizers .. flat bread pizza's which are oh so good if you don't have the room for a full entree after the bread and a calamari appetizer -- and it won't disappoint. For an entree if you are a seafood lover I have had the Cioppino which has all the goodness of shrimp, bay scallops, clams and mussels plus more .. a seafood lovers delight!! Most everything here is good even though it is part of large chain there is care to the food and service and well worth a visit. read more

Not bad. People need to stop knocking on the quality of food because it really is not bad. What I found exceptionally charming was the waitress, Claire; she had a smile that nothing can break! The bread was warm, the olive oil was seasoned, the salad was decent (bit overdressed for my liking), and the ravioli was acceptable. When the menu described spinach with the mezzaluna you would think there were leaves of them in the pasta but alas, it's just sprinkles of spinach. read more
