Stopped by while visiting industry for a bite to eat and a drink! Big play space with a nice sized bar with tvs. Bright and airy space. Place was fairly empty with a few people coming and going from the bar. Bartender was friendly and service was fast. My bf and I LOVE coming here! It's so spacious, easy to get drinks, and great for big groups of people. If you're looking for a group activity or doing some teambuilding, this place is chill, fun, and gets people active. The employees will teach you the fundamentals if you don't know how to play but afterward you take it from there. They also have board games on site as well, and it's pretty affordable to rent out a course. I would recommend to anyone visiting Industry City! read more

This is a really awesome spot and I wish it was more popular! We went on a Saturday night and besides a couple, our group was the only one in the space. This is such a cool place to play pentaque and your group gets a lesson from the staff on how to play best! My 1st visit was last week (thur) for their lunch special and a craving for pasta and let's they've seen me for the third time today(tues) the Cesar salad and bolognese combo is my new comfort meal literally bouncing at the arrival of my plate. Itakes me back to my childhood days eating spaghetti and meat sauce it's been the same if not better each time I miss them already. Why did it take a couple who celebrated every milestone at industry city (including a then-unknown "soft launch" of Japan Village for their first date, and one half of their engagement following an amazing dinner at Wakuwaku) so long to realize their wedding couldn't be anywhere else? Call it a glut of options in Brooklyn, the tristate, the destination celebrations. Intimate? Extravagant? We went through them all... until the night we found ourselves having a drink at The Carreau Club. "This would be a great spot for an after party, said Adrienne." My reply? "This would be a great spot for a wedding." One email to Hello@thecarreauclub.com and fingers crossed started what would become the most epic event of Summer 2024. Had they done private events? Yes. Did they ever do a wedding? (They'd love for us) to be their first. Did that matter to us? No! The vibes were right. And what was our vibe? "...Think 1950's Palm Springs meets 2023 White Lotus. Resort wear with a touch of luxury, sophistication and elegance." In a flurry of emails and visits we worked out a bespoke menu with Dana and Chef Aaron. Dana, a former multi-generational wedding planner, would roll in with floor plans, suggestions, and ideas to bring our celebratory vision to life. A big detail - we had the entire venue - cocktails outside (exactly 1 hour until the August summer sky exploded) and everything else indoors! She designed our wedding invites. And menus. And cards for a game we dreamed up. She helped navigating vendors and their neighbors (ask about the Brass Queens leading a second line through IC!), sound checks, run of show, and even managed one unruly guest who tried to dance on a table - and spent not only the day, but through the end of the night with us. Aaron was testing our menu on their Friday night pétanque leagues (they were lucky to get the veg mushroom tacos. Or grilled flank steak with chimmichuri. Our meateaters mashed these up and made the ultimate taco!). He tirelessly worked with us to find options for our gluten free and vegan friends (Vegan cheese at our grazing table? Hell yes. Gazpacho shooters? Mmhm. The panisse sando - a modern interpretation of the panelle sandwich for us Italians!). They laughed with us. They cried with us. They got their team to wear ascots... and of course there were pétanque lessons! Honestly everyone that was with us that day was just as much a part of our wedding as every last guest we invited. Carreau Club was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration--an absolute dream that took our vision and made it the most epic event from start to finish. The space itself radiates electric vibes, setting the stage for a night filled with joy, love, and nonstop dancing. Say yes to The Carreau Club! It's taken us 6 months to write this review because we're still processing how much fun we all had, and can't drive past 34th street without feeling all the big feelings. read more

I want to try one of my favorite traveling go to sandwiches the Cubano. I love the little garnish of the pickle on top straight to the point. It wasn't as hot as I wanted it to be, but the flavor was there and the press on the bread perfection. read more

Admittedly, I'm not the biggest petanque fan. I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere. That said, I'll watch it. And if the petanque stand is serviced by a tiny hut that has an amazing beer selection, then hell yeah! You'll find Carreau Club between buildings 5/6 at Industry City (right outside Barrow's Intense Ginger). It's $20/hr if you want to play petanque. In addition to their amazing craft beer selection, they also have wine, cocktails, and sandwiches. Staff is super nice as well! read more

delicious pasta deff will come back for the last one that was noted on the menu. pasts eaten: pomodor and the genovese both pastasa were rich in flavor and made fresh and even took a bit of time which made the wait that much more worth while. pomodoro: rich sweet tomato sauce which made it feel like home cooking genevese: i wish there was mode beef lol ate it all too fast. the flavor was so savor and not salty. need to try the drinks next time read more

The sandwiches at Carreau Club are portioned for the size of gerbil food and they taste like it too. Eating their chicken sandwich reminded of the time Delta Airlines gave out complimentary sandwiches in plastic bags for a transatlantic flight. The sandwiches here do not live up to their name or price. I was left disappointed and $15 dollars poorer for a sandwich which my 5 year old nephew could've made better in my kitchen with some crayons in it. Just go to Japan Village. read more

We went to the Carreau Club for an after wedding party and had so much fun! I had never played before but got some on site instruction that was really helpful and left me prepared to play a one on one game with my niece who was familiar with the game. The space is warm and inviting and the people welcoming and friendly. The kiosk offers a variety of beverages, yummy sandwiches and snacks! Some of us played and others watched. Either way it was an afternoon enjoyed by everyone in our party! Hoping to visit Brooklyn again soon and return to this little gem! read more
