Grabbed an outdoor table at this Tiki bar during the peak of the Delta variant wave in NY when many bars closed their indoor spaces. Though we felt like we were competing for sidewalk space with the heavily foot trafficked block we were on, the cocktails were good enough to whisk us and our taste buds away to greener pastures. In particular I really enjoyed the sweet potato cocktail with ube. Unlike many other ube cocktother ube cocktails I've had, this had true ube flavor, complete with a deep purple hue and salt rim that contrasted nicely with the marshmallowy flavor. The frozen passion fruit pina colada and Tamarind Dark n Stormy cocktails were also hits. The menu is short but the drinks pack a punch.

Super laid back energy. it could be pricey but it worth come in just inside is very small, if you're coming by more than 6, I guess this is not a place to hangout, but there's outside seat areas I'm not sure if you can hang out outside. ( Police station is across the street i think it's super safe) They have a very clean bathroom.

We had some time to kill before our dinner reservation and decided to stop for a few tiki drinks at Shaka Shaka Tiki. We had a few cocktails and a beer. My favorite of the house cocktails was Chili Lili (cachaca, passionfruit, seven spice togarashi, lime, orange bitters)! It is quite small - there's some inside seating as well as a couple of outside tables. It was a great place to sit and have a few drinks on a pretty evening. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

I want to move in here. I want to starfish in the middle of it. Cocktails are amazing, the plants are the vibes! I wish I live near by because I would be here everyday!

Great drinks! The most unique and tasty piña colada i've had. The music is good and the staff is super positive and friendly!

I consider myself super lucky to have lived around the corner from this tiny but mighty gem. Basically feels like you're in an intimate living room with plenty of lovely plants, macrame hangers, and of course drinks made with love. Have come on random weeknights and had the place to ourselves, also on fun lively nights like pregaming for NYE. The vibe is special on any occasion. Bartender/owner has an impressive rotation of Hawaiian shirts and awesome songs on the playlist to match. You won't be disappointed.

Super cute hole in the wall to grab drinks with friends. We tried the Flower Power, Chili Lili and the Companion Negroni. All fantastic and well balanced. The music was also a total vibe. Highly recommend!!

Shaka Shaka Tiki is what Companion Cafe turns into after dark. It's run by Gary from Hawaii, and it's a pretty cool concept. Makes sense to turn a coffee shop into a bar at night. I wonder why everyone doesn't do it? The space used to be Bergen Dean Sandwich Shop (located across the street from the exterior of the Brooklyn Nine-Nine precinct. Not the largest space, but they have bar seating, and two tables. They have a daily juice special that they squeeze fresh. When we went, it was Granny Smith apple, kale, and ginger beer with gin as the mixer. It was SO GOOD. And also makes you feel like you're being healthy instead of a drunkard. Win/win! They also have a cool bathroom!

This place is one of my favorites! Super chill, delicious drinks, great staff. All of the cocktails are inventive and tasty -- pina colada is one of the best. Love coming here to get away from the crowds on Fulton.

Custom Mai Tai (was not on the menu that day, but they made it upon request!)

Had this place on my radar for a long time but was only recently able to go. Due to COVID, seating was outdoor, and it was quite the chilly day for tiki drinks. Just the same, the drinks were excellent and the staff extremely friendly. As it was surprisingly busy for a cold day, they brought out an additional table and chairs for us. Our socially-distanced fellow patrons were convivial and the bar seems to draw a pleasantly diverse crowd. If we lived closer, this would be our regular neighborhood bar, but maybe it could be yours!

I'm so glad we did moms night out at shaka shaka tiki tonight, the drinks were so delicious, the whole atmosphere were so dreamy which allow us to forget about all the stuff was going on for a second. :) I appreciate the music I heard some Chinese and Cantonese songs I really like, feels like home! Will come more often!
