I have been dealing with this business for a few years and have not had an issue until now. The shop has moved to a new location in St Augustine. Scott failed to update his business info with the credit card processing company so my initial transaction declined. Scott clearly did not know how to use the new credit card system at his new location. He gave me an attitude like it was my fault he failed to do what he was supposed to do as a small business owner. I will NEVER do business with this shop again. I recommend you find another shop in Jacksonville, as opposed to making the drive(or tow) to St Augustine. I recently acquired a 2002 525iT and had some suspension work done, I appreciate the courtesy go-over the car look (even though I didn't ask for it) to let me know what the car needs to ensure road worthiness. I've been a loyal customer since 2014 and travel 30 miles one way to Jacksonville from St. Augustine to have Scott & his techs service both of my vehicles. Recently, over the past 40+ days, I've had a number of issues in which I had to return my BMW for follow up repairs. As BMW EXPERTS they should have identifed these foreseeable failures. Been stranded with major coolant lost due to obvious radiator hose condition. To their credit, they stood by the parts and labor for all repairs. (radiator & new hose, serpine and a/c belts). I am so glad I found this place! I have a Lexus SC430, 17 years old, and these guys keep her running. Every time I have taken the car to the dealer (last time was an airbag recall) I'm told she has major problems and the estimate is never less than $3K. I take her into Carroll Autowerks, talk with Scott, and leave her to their Lexus Certified Mechanic. Scott really listens to the issues and is great at troubleshooting a problem, it's not always as it seems... which has been good for my bank acct! The Mechanic is very knowledgeable, has all the tools necessary, and does a great job! Don't be in a hurry, they are busy, but it's so worth it. Oh, I almost forgot... very reasonably priced "always" less than dealer quote, most of the time by half! This is a GEM that I am thankful I found. I just moved to Jacksonville and my car (BMW) was giving me some grief on the ride from DC. I tend towards smaller businesses when it comes to my mechanic as dealers gouge you in prices and tend to be a bit (not all but many) condescending to the female population. I went on a search for good BMW repair shops in Jacksonville - and there are few yelpers in the area so I relied on google reviews. Of course, everyone said stay clear of the two dealerships in town. I came across Carroll Autowerks and, due to location, made an appointment. I arrived 30 minutes before it opened as they agreed to give me a ride to work (not a standard practice but I think they felt for me as I know NO one in Jacksonville). I received a call at 12 stating the car's issues, the ETA for parts, and the price. We moved forward. To their credit - everything went as I was told. The part arrived at 4:30 and the car was ready by 5:30 (with a nice wash and vacuum - worth every penny!). The price was SOOOO reasonable I almost fell out of my chair. Scott mentioned another opportunity (to avoid costly repairs later) and the approximate price which they will be attending to on Tuesday. Definitely recommend for any BMW driver.
