Then the assistant manager said he could do it. He put the wrong transmission fluid (Toyotas require Toyota WS TF). Immediately after my transmission started to slip in 3rd gear. After battling with the GM they agreed to replace with Toyota WS fluid but they didn't flush the system. The contaminants of the wrong fluid are still causing slippage in 3rd gear and I got a diagnostic from Toyota stating Toyota WS is required for my 4Runner and that the slippage is caused by the contaminant of wrong fluid. They still denied my claim. This company ruined my transmission and is refusing to take any ownership of their mistakes. This is our family vehicle and now we feel unsafe driving it. Valvoline has lost a lifetime customer because they won't own up to their mistake.

Especially (!) since I always take the better and more expensive synthetic oil. These modern oils can do easily between 5 & 10 k miles. Is Valvoline thinking their customers don't pay attention and just go back when the sticker tells them so? Gabe and Skyler serviced my vehicle. They both were professional and personable as well as gave my dog some attention. I wanted an oil change, new air filter, wipers along with coolant check. Gabe agreed with everything except air filter and showed me it was still in good condition in which after I looked, I agreed. Gabe also showed the coolant was just showing signs of weakening but also would last a bit longer also. That built a level of trust to start with. If we just had more techs like this. I have over 328k on my Explorer and turning over responsibility for servicing to others, it's nice to find a team I can trust. That makes this a great value! The service was accurate and after I got home I saw no issues but one, wrong email that I will correct tomorrow. I also like the warranties for any issues. I went to Bozard Ford service lane & they directed me to Quick Lane for my oil change. I was a little reluctant but found out that they are owned by Ford so I went ahead & brought it in. My service advisor Sonya recommended Ford's Garage restaurant for Lunch & I was able to walk the short distance there. By the time I finished my lunch, I received a call that my truck was ready. I was back on the road in less than an hour. I believe that they washed the truck too. Full Synthetic (7 quarts) was $106. Great service & Sonya was knowledgeable & friendly.

Absolutely unacceptable service. I had a 9:00 AM appointment for what should have been a simple…read moretire repair. I arrived at 8:55 AM, five minutes early, and by 10:17 AM I was still sitting there waiting. After waiting for over an hour, I finally had to go ask what was taking so long. Only then did I find out that they supposedly needed to order a part and that I would have to wait another 40 minutes for it to arrive. The worst part isn't even the delay it's the complete lack of communication. Nobody came to tell me there was a problem. Nobody gave me an update. Nobody asked if I was okay waiting that much longer. They apparently just expected me to sit there indefinitely as if I had nothing else to do with my day. What is the point of making a 9:00 AM appointment if you don't respect the customer's time? If you discover that a repair is going to take significantly longer than expected, the absolute minimum you can do is COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMER. I should not have to chase employees down after sitting there for over an hour just to find out what is happening with my own car. Extremely frustrating, disrespectful of my time, and very poor customer service. I will definitely think twice before bringing my car back to RPM Automotive.
