Great mechanic. Price extremely competitive since he doesn't have overhead of shop. Did level kit on my tundra.

DO NOT let this place touch your car…read more I asked if they could do a transmission fluid replacement since I had a coupon for it. First guy said no because my 4Runner doesn't have a dipstick. Then the assistant manager said he could do it. He put the wrong transmission fluid (Toyotas require Toyota WS TF). Immediately after my transmission started to slip in 3rd gear. After battling with the GM they agreed to replace with Toyota WS fluid but they didn't flush the system. The contaminants of the wrong fluid are still causing slippage in 3rd gear and I got a diagnostic from Toyota stating Toyota WS is required for my 4Runner and that the slippage is caused by the contaminant of wrong fluid. They still denied my claim. This company ruined my transmission and is refusing to take any ownership of their mistakes. This is our family vehicle and now we feel unsafe driving it. Valvoline has lost a lifetime customer because they won't own up to their mistake.

The first time I noticed this I forgot to bring it up. But now, on a different car, it happens again. For evidence, see pictures. One is the mileage upon leaving Valvoline, the other is the next service sticker I received. 3000 miles is total BS. Mopar (Jeep) advice is 5 to 10 k miles. Especially (!) since I always take the better and more expensive synthetic oil. These modern oils can do easily between 5 & 10 k miles. Is Valvoline thinking their customers don't pay attention and just go back when the sticker tells them so? I hope Valvoline, you have a good explanation for this to help me to get a bad taste out of my mouth....... Looking forward.

I'm not one for conflict as…read moreit never comes to a positive outcome in the end but this place, this place is a waste of prime real estate. 100% the shadiest crew I've dealt with in my years of existence. Before I drove into the pit, I was adamant on mobile 1 full synthetic. I didn't ask for opinions. I asked for a product that is supposedly offered. I was told okay and instructed into the bay. Come to find out, they were out. Against my request and wants, I was talked into pennzoil platinum. "All oil is the same" No, it's not but go ahead. Still a decent oil. I was already there, let's just get it done. As I sit there and watch 2 of the techs walk around lost on what they're looking for, the third was instructed to go ahead and drain. A couple minutes after the tech draining oil was down in the pit, the two techs on the ground had a couple little power meetings in front of the car talking real quiet. Come to find out, they're "somehow out of the platinum oil too, all we have is our brand". Right, of course that's what's going on. My first question was is the oil already drained with the response was yes it is. Come on people. All you do is oil changes. You know what you're out of. You know you were out of mobile one. You know you were out of pennzoil platinum. Whether you believe all oil is the same or not, the business practice that was pushed is by far the shadiest way to do business. I'll admit, I was given a discount which ended up being, what I believe, it's just the full price for the house brand oil. Discounted from the oil I wanted, yes. Not the point in this equation. I know nothing will come of this review but everyone deserves to know how this place does business before you waste your time and money. Looks like I'll take my chances with my HOA and go back to self service oil changes. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
