The location is right next to the theater, which makes it ideal to grab a bite before or after the show. Carrot express usually is consistent, but this location was underwhelming. As soon as you walk in you can barely move around because it's very tiny. The two employees were talking amongst each other instead of attending to the customers. There was only one employee who was attentive to the customers and what they wanted. For the amount of people coming in and out, they were short staffed. I wanted to try their iced coffee, but the coffee machine was broken. Ordered a plain and Nutella croissant. Nothing out of this world. Both had a bland flavor to it. If you want to pick up and not sit down, this is the right place, but to sit down and enjoy a casual lunch or dinner not so much.

Sandra is stellar and makes the best Açaí Bowls. This place is wholesome! Amazing atmosphere, fresh food, sublime/upbeat people (Eva, Sandra, Eddie, Joey,etc....) and reasonably priced for the quality

    Green Goddess Salad

Last night, I ate here with my girlfriend and our good friend after we left church. The service and attention to detail was simply superb, from Sandra who took our order after helping us learn more about specific dishes on their menu, to Maria who prepared our salads, to Sameer the manager who was also very friendly and quick to provide us with anything we needed. This was simply a pleasant experience overall, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this location!

Visit Carrot Express for the first time. Small location but clean, bright and welcoming. We were immediately welcomed. The food was delicious, shareable portion. Fresh, tasty and good quality products. A bit pricey but is a good option. Would definitely visit again.

    Huge Tuna Melt Toast

Loved our food at breakfast this Morning with the outdoor bistro seating. The tuna melt was a huge portion, so I ended up saving half and eating it for lunch. My son ordered the carrot waffle (that's dairy and gluten free) and was extremely happy, and my husband enjoyed his croissant sandwich. Also they have coffee now! The beans are from Imperial Moto which is really quality.

Came in today and they offered free breakfast to the neighborhood. What an amazing gesture! Service was amazing and the food even better. Great local spot. I had the turkey bacon wrap and matcha latte. So good!!!!

Wow wow wow!! They really stepped it up with the coffee and breakfast now. The food is really high quality and you can tell they really care about service and taking care of the customers! Customer for life!

It's all good. Fresh, tasty, and healthy. My only complaint is that there are too many options on the menu that I want so it makes it tough to choose lol.

I stopped in for lunch. The location sits on the corner and parking is available free of charge on the side of the building. I had a salmon wrap that was paired with cilantro lime sauce. Joey, was super helpful providing options for menu items including drinks. He allowed me to try out multiple options for dipping sauces as I found the cilantro sauce to be too sweet for the wrap option I selected. I would suggest pairing the salmon wrap with the spicy mayo dip. There is seating in the inside and one unisex restroom available. Overall great customer service provided by Joey.

The best vegan banana bread in town on a gorgeous day

Eve helped me satisfy my craving and she went the extra mile to ask her manager if the kitchen can accommodate me craving !!!! I love this location how clean and how nice they are :') the food is scrumptious i got a vegan banana bread and a fresh salad with their vegan ground beef thank you!

I come here 3x per week to breakfast on their delicious almond butter acai bowl (or avocado toast with eggs, if I'm in the mood), blue magic smoothie, and their lattes. Their wraps and platters are delectable as well. If I could, I'd be here 2x a day, every day. I usually sit in the corner working on my computer (they have WiFi and great AC). One of the girls working there, Camila, has been very friendly and even recognized me by face and name, and made me want to come back. Even the owner came up to me a few weeks ago when he saw me ordering the acai bowl and asked how I liked it as he had changed up the texture to make it smoother (it really is SO GOOD). I used to switch back and forth between CE and PV across the street (their space is much bigger), but bigger isn't always better, haha! This place is your friendly neighborhood cafe. Go go go!

I sat at the bar which was readily available and quickly greeted given a menu. The place is quaint in size but big in personality, and they have more seating than you'd anticipate from the outside. I appreciated the size of the menu, a variety of options, but not too large, and they had special brunch menu offerings for the weekend. I got a beer and the fried fish sandwich. The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked, and somehow, despite it being deep friend, it wasn't the least bit greasy! The bun was squishy, and the slaw was a glorious addition. Oh and the fries? I could've eaten another portion they were sweet, salty, crispy, soft: perfection. So ya, in case you didn't catch on: 5 for sure, and I WILL be back.

You walk in and immediately feel that local, unpretentious energy that's been missing from a lot of the scene. Do I love that it's on Biscayne? Not really. But the food more than makes up for it. For a bar-style environment, the food is consistently very good. Not just "good for a bar" ... like its actually good. The burger is a must (im pescatarian but my friend said it was delicious!) and their Eggs Benedict at brunch is easily one of my favorites in the area. Pair it with a Bloody Mary and you're set. their happy hour pricing is refreshingly reasonable, which is rare around here. I was talking to one of the bartenders and found out even their bread is made in-house. That kind of consistency and care, especially at these price points, is not easy to maintain and you can feel it in the food. It seems that their leadership (owner or manager, not totally sure) has always been present when I've gone and brings a great energy to the space. It trickles down to the staff and the overall vibe. The restaurant is conveniently located right on the downtown strip with free street parking nearby, which is always a plus. The atmosphere was inviting from the moment we walked in. The host welcomed us and told us we could sit anywhere we liked, so we chose a quieter table away from the bar area. There is also a stage section that looked perfect for live music nights, although there was no entertainment during our visit. Overall, the ambiance was trendy, relaxed, and had a great neighborhood feel. They also appeared to have some very good happy hour specials for those who drink. Our server was very sweet and offered several recommendations. We decided to share the burrata appetizer and the skirt steak dinner. The steak arrived first and looked absolutely beautiful. The quality of the meat itself was outstanding and cooked very well. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable charred flavor from what seemed like a dirty grill, which took away from an otherwise excellent steak. It was disappointing because the quality of the meat was truly superb. The fries were also surprisingly good and almost tasted closer to sweet potato fries. At that point, we realized our burrata appetizer had been forgotten. Once we flagged down our server, she immediately corrected the mistake and brought it out quickly. Thankfully, it was absolutely delicious and ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. The fresh burrata paired perfectly with the heirloom tomatoes and tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. Toward the end of dinner, service became difficult again. We were ready for more water, a box, and the check, but our server was nowhere to be found despite the restaurant not being particularly busy since it was still early in the evening. I eventually had to get up and ask the bartender for assistance. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance and appreciated the quality of the food. There were definitely some service inconsistencies, but the restaurant has a lot of potential and several dishes that stood out.

There is plenty of both outdoor and indoor seating but I highly recommend their outside courtyard. It's beautiful, with gorgeous dark lighting, decorated with a banyan tree covered in twinkling string lights, and a great atmosphere. The music and sea of conversations add to the entire experience. There are also fans all around to help with the summer heat. Our server was a highlight of our experience, Alex was incredibly personable, down to earth, and so knowledgeable about the menu. He gave us so many recs and was willing to talk to us about any and all dishes. He was energetic and just too notch. Now the food was ridiculously good. To start we ordered 2 pornstar martinis that were delicious, and came with their respective sides of prosecco. We ordered their agnolotti which came in an out of this world sauce, filled with blue crab and corn. It was just beyond. The flavor profile was incredible. We also had the hanger steak with a side of fries. It was perfectly tender and so good. Our only feedback is that we wished there wasn't a sweet glaze on top, since it overpowered the taste of the steak, and that the steak came with no sides or anything, and we had to order fries separately. We also ordered their banana toffee cheesecake with honeycomb ice cream instead of cinnamon ice cream. It was delicious, so creamy, nutty, with a burnt toffee taste that was so good. This was easily one of the best desserts I've had, and I'm usually not a banana flavor person, in fact banana flavor is the last thing I'd ever choose. Since it was my friend's birthday, we also got a slice of key lime cheesecake that was so delicious! Incredibly limey which we enjoyed, with a hint of sweetness. Highly recommend trying this steakhouse. It was amazing!

The exhaust/ventilation system doesn't seem sufficient for how busy the space gets, so you end up leaving with your hair and clothes smelling like food.
