RUN from this salon!! Do NOT make the same mistake I just made!! A $1200 mistake that is!! I've never experienced anything quite like it. This certainly wasn't my first experience with hair extensions, but was by far my WORST! My experience started by meeting Haley, the in house "extension specialist" who sat with me for a consultation. During the consultation I explained to Haley that I was worried about ruining my natural hair and that I've had hand-tied extensions in the past (which Haley herself had in her hair). I was reassured by Haley that based off the current condition and length of my hair, I would be a "great candidate" for I-Tips aka Microlinks. I emphasized that I wanted a technique that was not going to jeopardize the integrity of my hair, and one that would blend perfectly with my natural length. I also emphasized that it was important that I would be able to pull my hair back into a ponytail, or even wear my hair half way up (as one would). Without hesitation, Haley reassured me that I could achieve all of this with I-tips. The appointment took about 5.5 hours as she said we needed to darken my roots and add a "money piece" in the front to achieve the desired look we discussed prior to taking my seat (see my inspiration picture below). The installation was not only long (which was expected) but insanely brutal! My head was so tender that she could barely touch it without me wanting to cry. She then washed, dried, and quickly styled my hair (as I was anxiously trying to make it to another scheduled appointment). Coming home later that evening, I noticed in my well-lit bathroom, that my hair color looked extremely streaky! The color was not well blended, and the pieces easily separated themselves from my natural hair. My hair looked RIDICULOUS!!! To top it off, by mid-morning the next day, I had 4 extensions rip out with my natural hair attached! I desperately contacted Haley to see what we could do and explained that this was not at all what I had anticipated or paid for! Haley sent me a text message letting me know that the salon owner, Yasamin, would be reaching out. Little did I know that Yasamin the salon owner was going to be completely unprofessional and abrasive. I calmly explained what was happening to my hair and that the results were not at all, what I was promised or what I had expected. She was very combative, and went as far as to call me a "liar" after I explained what was happening with my extensions. She went on to tell me that she thinks I'm simply just inexperienced and not well educated on hair extensions (mind you, Yasmin is not a Hair Stylist). She then asked that I send photos of my hair before she was able to "discuss options" to help me. I immediately sent the photos shown below, and instead of calling me to discuss my options, Yasamin unapologetically sent this message instead: "Hi Tina, thank you for sending those over. I have attached the signed liability waiver, the inspiration picture that you and Haley agreed to, and your final results. Haley went over with you that the colors you hand-picked were going to result in a high contrast look. Haley went above and beyond to make your hair look very similar to the results and color you agreed upon. As I said over the phone, we are willing to remove some side pieces to help them camouflage more when put in a pony tail but extensions are attached to your hair and will not always be 100% hidden when pulled up. Haley had gone over that some will come loose as natural hair sheds and to save them for your move up to be reinstalled. We do believe you received the service that was paid for and looks very similar to the goal. The waiver you willingly signed stated it is normal for the i-tips to shed and you agreed to our no refund policy. At this time, that's all we can offer. Thank you for understanding!" Within 72 hours, I had lost 11 extensions and was left with more than just a blending problem on my hands. I not only lost a massive amount of my natural hair, but now need to have my hair colored again. Yasamin and Haley were willing to do NOTHING to make it right. Zero. The owners of this salon are clearly inexperienced and young. For anyone running their own business or serious about "being successful", it's imperative to realize the utter importance of rock-solid customer service. Women talk. Salons thrive on referrals and chatter from one woman to the next. Customer retention doesn't happen by taking the clients' money, talking down to them, and then finding other ways to extract more money from them. It happens by truly going out of your way to make things right, and adding value when things go wrong. I've never been more disgusted by a salon experience in my life. (smh). THIS SALON AND THE STYLIST I SAW HAVE EXPIRED COSMETOLOGY LICENSES!! I had a very disappointing experience with Carson and Co salon and stylist Haylie Prince, involving both hair coloring and extension installation. Hair Coloring Service: After FOUR blonding appointments since February, my hair is still dark blonde with severe banding and orange tones. The goal was to achieve a brighter blonde, but the results were unsatisfactory. The application was uneven, leading to inconsistent tones. In June, I was charged $480 for a "Total Transformation," double the cost of a full blonding service ($225), without achieving the desired results. Extension Installation: Originally, I had an install done in April, purchasing hair from the salon, but it was of poor quality. The owner ordered new hair, but there were shipping issues, so Haylie allowed me to order my own hair from JZ Hair. Despite the issues with the salon's hair brand, the salon charged me again to redo the re-install. I negotiated the price down to a move-up, but it was still unfair. The extensions were installed poorly, causing severe pain and tension sores. Another stylist confirmed the poor install and found sores that were crusty and bleeding. I contacted Haylie, but she was out of town and only advised brushing lightly. With an impending trip, the second stylist shared concerns of tension and potential hair loss. Luckily, this stylist is certified in extensions and was able to remove and reinstall the extensions properly. However, this required me to pay for an install a third time. Owner's Response: The owner blamed me for the issues, citing poor removal of the extensions despite a professional handling it, and suggested it might be the hair brand. She also ignored my detailed concerns about the coloring. Further research revealed that both Carson and Co and Haylie Prince have expired cosmetology licenses. Given the poor service, lack of resolution, and unqualified providers, I strongly advise against using Carson and Co salon and Haylie Prince. My experience caused physical pain, significant inconvenience, and extra expenses to correct the work elsewhere. read more

UPDATE: Do NOT go here. They will destroy your hair and steal your money!!!!! The owners are also extremely unprofessional and rude! Carson & co BLOCKED ME on their Instagram for messaging them and calling for a refund. Told me to stop contacting them and it's my fault I didn't "like my hair"..... they butchered it! I went to FANTASTIC SAMS and they FIXED IT. That says something of a chain salon equivalent to super cuts can do a better job!!!! This has been the most terrible experience I have ever had with my hair. I came in with my natural brown hair and asked for a simple color melt. I had scheduled with Sierra, a stylist with 26 five star reviews. An hour before my appointment they called letting me know Sierra was out and that they would book me with Rochelle (who they specifically told me I had nothing to worry about because I was willing to wait for another appointment if she wasn't an excellent stylist like the one I intentionally chose originally). Multiple times the stylist sent random people over to look at my hair (it was clear she was extremely inexperienced). I went home with a mess of orange, bleach blonde, yellow and brown splotches all over my head after 4.5 hours in the chair. I called the salon and they temporarily covered it up and scheduled me with Angie, their color specialist. A week later (yesterday) Angie tried to fix my hair. She was extremely kind but ultimately looked at my hair and said there was ALOT to fix after the first time. Angie tried to even out the splotches that were from the first lift and then toned it. I left with my hair pretty much looking like mild highlights and mostly brown. NOTHING like what I had asked for MULTIPLE times. I left feeling terrible and like it was a complete waste of 12 hours in total (I took off work for this!!!) Now I'm waiting on the owner to call me back a day later because I deserve my $213 refund. I've been going to Abigayle Reece for about a year now. I first started with her at a previous salon, and followed her to the new location of Carson & Co. She is AMAZING with my hair, and very proactive about my sensitive scalp. I've gotten so comfortable with her that I can show her a picture of the basics of what I'd like, but tell her that she's in charge of color and essentially everything else. Additionally, my husband goes to her now, and he followed her from the previous salon as well. We're both so happy with the quality of her work--not to mention her as a person--that we won't go anywhere else unless we're absolutely forced to. I saw Emily for the first time and loved her. She did a balayage as well as adding some foils around my face and a cut. I love the end result and my hair still feels healthy. The thing I liked most about Emily is how she made it a great experience. I have very thick, long hair and I really wanted someone to show me how to style it, getting a certain type of wave. It definitely took her extra time but she walked me through how to style it and I left the salon feeling amazing. So while I love my balayage, I appreciate so much that Emily made the experience from start to finish an awesome one! I'm thrilled to have found a new stylist. read more

This salon is so cute and friendly to everyone who walks in! Iv been with my hair stylist Sammi T for quite a few years now and she always does an amazing job on my hair color and cut. She takes her time and is so talented. I have been a pain, in wanting every hair color and cut in the book in the last two years and she's been so patient and always does my hair how I want it! Her before and after photos always blow my mind! I trust her with my hair more than I ever have with anyone and everyone needs a trusting stylist! I love her! I love getting my hair done by Samantha T! I love her so much that I even followed her to Carson & Co. The salon itself is in a great location and is very cute and clean. I've seen Samantha every time I've been in and have never been disappointed. I'm usually very boring and only get a trim, but the last few times I've ventured out and cut my hair short, and this past winter tried a balayage for the first time. It turned out GREAT. Samantha made sure I was comfortable the whole time and even did a "grand reveal" at the end of my appointment to make it more fun. Go see her!! read more

So update: tried to get in touch with aspen and she never called me. Had her receptionist tell me that she was in the office all day (office is located in her Westminster salon...) and that she wouldn't be able to talk to me. So I went to the other salon looking for yasmine. I was greeted by aspen who said that she called the cops and that I needed to leave. At no point was I rude or inappropriate btw, aspen even told me I was "very reasonable". So I got a partial refund and now I'm bald. Emily really takes the time to listen to me and discuss how I want my hair to be each time I come in.
