You must have charged me labor because it was over 550.00. I bought the two headlight assemblies and brought them in. The only things they had to buy was light bulbs and some fuses that they blew out. So if you didn't charge me for the labor, why was it over $500.00? Go ahead and post the total amount. I'll find my invoice tonight.... And with the 10.00 reimbursement I was told the first time by the mechanic they would take it off my bill on my next visit. And the second time they just refused. It's only 10.00. If the note was not made in my file that I had a 10.00 credit coming, how is that my fault? It should have been applied regardless. Frank and Brian diagnosed a big problem with the differential on my 1978 Datsun 280Z and took care of it and now the car runs better than ever. They are professional, knowledgeable and show a real interest in getting the job done properly. Prior to this they also took care of issues with the fuel injection and brakes. Brought my car here after it was having trouble starting. car ended up there for over a month and $7k later still won't start. Put a new engine in with a. 3 month warranty. The engine immediately leaked the oil pan was missing a bolt I had a mechanic look over the work who said it's the worst he's seen in a long time. After bringing it back with warranty they said leaks aren't covered and charged my another $500 for the oil housing filter leak. The car leaked over 1.5 liters of oil in my driveway over a month. They let me leave the shop one time with my car because I needed it for work back in South Lake Tahoe didn't let me know not to put it over 4000 rpm's. These people don it care about your car and some of the worst customer service you'll ever come across. Over the past 3 months I've called them over 20 times and received a total of 2 calls. They do not care about your car I got pulled over leaving the lot due to a taillight out. Nothing is torqued to manufacture standards. My initial quote was for $1100 to fix the car. $7k later the car still Doesn't start and they missed the original issue of alternator. I even had to show The employee how to clear a code on his scanner. I would pay the guy with the beard not to work on my car. His attitude is worthless and left a wrench/ towel in my cowel and never put the cover back on I was driving around with a wrench and towel (fire hazard). I came here twice last year for oil changes and they do what they do best. Both times I did have to wait 1.5-2 hours with 2-3 people ahead of me so they do take quite some time though I don't know if they're just short-handed. However, they are nice folk and was only charged roughly $20 if I bring my own oil/filter. I'd still come here over other locations hadn't I learned to change the oil myself. read more

What I mean by that is people is the front office . Possible 1 mechanic not sure. Here is the story. Drop off a CARPET CLEANING STEAM CLEANING VAN WITH OVER $30 K IN EQUIPMENT IN van off on a Thursday to get a basic turpatine belt & ac belt replaced and had an appointment. They call me back Friday a day later , you need belt tensioner etc. Said no prob get er done. Sounds basic right ! Ok we all know we get that call afte we drop off a car truck van , same old" up sell" call or some cases actually a real situation that needs to be addressed. THis or that wrong and oh btw you need to replace this too and that bla bla bla. Ok thats standard shop behavior. Honestly every used car has a part with worn parts that could be upgradded that life in the mountain region area high desert. Friday comes around Pre 4 th july weekend. So VAN would of been stuck there 3-4 days in limbo for no F reason These folks from front office call and said they close at 4 pm . I WAS WORKING IN TAHOE, said no problem Ill drive down and get you paid and get keys and have someone pick up van later. SO I GET TO CARSON SERVICE CENTER AT EXACTLY 3;30 PM THIS A GPS TIME DATE STAMP ( our vans are tracked 24/7 with special devices) I see a woman out by the gate and some guy with a beard in old chevy truck. I said Hi im here to get the van and would like to pay you. SHE LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND SO OH WELL. I SAID EXCUSE ME , AND SHE THREW HER HANDS IN THE AIR AND SAID SOOOO. I said i have an extra key you cant leave my van parked on carson street. This is not a van than can be kept unlocked or un attened to. Said offifce closed . I said F U lady you told me to be here by 4 pm im half hour early. SHe walked away some dorky dood look like her male prostitute looked at me locked gate and they both left. SO i said F U again and thx . But im not leaving the van. They leave. I had to take the van to my shop / secure storage area with camers and locked gate. Call any uber and go get my other van that i left there. Here come the interesting part These morons call me 6 days later. Yea thats right 6 days later " Hi this is carson service center call us back " SO the van could have been anywhere and or vandalized / theft etc. These folks in the front office are some of the worst ive ever dealt with in business here 9 years. If you choose to you them beware ! As far as the mechanics , well there was that one one weird male prostitue looking bearded mechanic i wouldnt let touch any bodys car. I bought a truck from Zolli with his extended warranty. Turns out I needed a new motor. 8 weeks later I got my truck back with a nasty dent in the hood. After having it 3 years I have some front end work done and when I get it on the lift I have 1 bell housing bolt holding the transmission to the engine. Whether they rattled out due to not being torqued down or were never installed. I found new bolts and went to install them and found a snapped bolt upper passenger side top bell housing! I returned to the dealer expecting them to give me a hard time as I bought the car with no warranty. But to my surprise the owner brought my car into the shop immediately, replaced the pump within the hour (this included ordering the part and waiting for it to come) all at no charge. I am so happy and feel very lucky to have stumbled across this place. I was in a bad situation and needed a car, and the owner had me in a great vehicle and worked hard to get me financed at a good price. Had no problem fixing the minor issues on the car, even after he dropped the price below kbb fair market value. I was expecting a "sold as is" like I would have gotten from any other dealer on a vehicle this old. The owner is friendly and honest, which are both hard to come by these days, sadly enough. When we were shopping around for a vehicle for my boyfriend last year, I wish we had found Carson Service center. Instead we were at bigger dealerships who left us waiting for hours while they "checked with the manager" and "worked on the financing," which is a common ploy to make you so ready to just get out of there that you don't bother haggling. Also, once we were off the lot and had a problem, they could have cared less. Should I have any future mechanical issues (which I don't forsee because despite this car's age it's s still incredibly reliable, boy I love my Subarus), I will only ever take my car here from now on. I'll also be recommending them to everybody for repairs and new purchases. I really can't speak highly enough of them, and wish I could go higher than 5 stars. read more

I bought the van after a little haggeling about the price, and drove away. There were some issues as this was an older van, but was as amazed at the ease they showed me, and corrected the issues and helped with things, like a new battery, even months later. It's really nice to have someone act like they really care. They guys are men of their word, a rare quality these days...Last week I brought a vehicle in to them that I needed to sell. Be very careful. Liars and cheats. Tom, Stefan, Zollee, and whoever the manager is, are no good. Paid cash for truck, 2 k over blue book. Was told it was "turn key," and a "unicorn." No more than a week after purchasing a truck I had a laundry list of issues. Which carson servicenter would not help. As little as brakes being at 20%, 4x4 not working, bent wheels, a/c went out after they "repaired", oil leak in valley, bad alternator, air filter fitted together with PVC pipe, passenger side door doesnt unlock/ lock, bad front and rear shocks, wiring for trailer lights & brakes no good... wow. When I brought this to their attention, they told me to shut up, they could sell this truck for more, blah blah blah. Not nice. Not the way you treat customers. My fault, should have gone through it more thorough. Should have had another mechanic check it out first. Now we are in March, 8k later in repairs, still no title. W/ covid, only takes 4-6 weeks to get title. Not 5-6 months. DMV says title never processed, Tom says they did process. Lies. What a headache. They blocked my phone number after I asked for help with repairs within 1 week of purchase. These guys dont care. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. read more
