Totally unprofessional. No business should treat people this way. On 10/2/2025, I saw a female CARSTAR employee park on private property without permission. When asked to move, she yelled, "Go back to your country." A tall brown haired male employee responded by using an obscene hand gesture. Using the middle finger. Had some repairs done to rear bumper and quarter panel. The repair came out perfect, but there was a bit of over spray of some white paint on both windshields, and on a few spots on the body. I brought it back, and they accepted full responsibility for the issue without any sort of argument. The glass was made crystal clear again, and I got the car back after a few hours. Brandy was a pleasure to work with. The moral of the story is that all shops will make mistakes sometimes. But not every shop owns those mistakes and makes it right like Brandy did. I had a great experience here. I went with this company since my insurance company recommended it. They are very transparent throughout the entire process. They text you the stages of where your car is at, call you when it's done, and you can always call them if you have any questions. I have been reading some of the reviews and I was surprised after I got my car back. Yes, they are short staffed so it may take a little longer to get a response over the phone. I assure you if you go in person they will be more than happy to help. Brandon, the person either in the front or in the back office, was awesome to work with. A big reason why I am leaving a review like this is because of him. He gave me a quote within 5 minutes, answered all of my questions, and called me when my car was done. On top of that, I told him I was going to pick up my car and ended up not being able to. I came in the next day and they did not mind at all. Also, they clean the hell out of your car. Polishing the wheels, cleaning the inside, and cleaning the outside. They found an Apple pen I lost in there for two years. I could not believe how clean it was, I brought it there really dirty. 10/10 - would recommend P.S. not sure about pricing, my insurance company had a deductible. But the price was pretty much where I was expecting. read more

Do not take you vehicle here. They had me drop off the car a week before they even ordered the part. Waste of time....

They never answer the phone. Never follow up on a voicemail. Never reply to messages sent via their website "contact us" form. Their website has a section "Request an Estimate" but when clicked on it got the message "Photo Estimate not available. We're sorry!". They have five locations in Seattle, Fremont, Bellevue, Bothel, and Kirkland and I had the same experience with all of them. read more

I lost $650 because of an incompetent person at Carstar ARA who did the initial estimate on my repair work. Read on for full details. Carstar Ara was one of the preferred repair locations for my insurance company. I brought my car in for an insurance estimate. The guy spent 5 minutes looking at the car. He took a couple of pictures. He didn't open the hood to look at how deep the front end damage actually was. He was clearly in a hurry and gave us a repair estimate of $3,500. We made an appointment for repairs. It was a 2 month wait which is currently pretty normal. We drove the car the whole time, with a smashed up front end. I had a warning light for my tires and took it in to a tire shop where I was told the tires needed to be replaced as soon as possible. So, two weeks before my repair appointment at Carstar, I spent $900 on new tires. Two weeks later, I took my car in to Carstar for repairs. Two days later, I received a call from my insurance company telling me that the repair estimate was $8,000 and my car was being totaled. My new tires had less than 50 miles on them. When I complained to my insurance company about the value of my new tires the independent adjuster added $250 to the payout value. If he would have given a proper estimate initially I would have never spent $900 on tires two weeks before the car was declared totaled. Thanks a lot CARSTAR, I won't be back. read more

During Covid-19 I discovered some body damage to a SUV that I was borrowing from a friend that was out of town during the containment. I requested an estimate in person, and the response that I got was, "I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Let me see what I can do." Phillip then proceeded to repair the damages on the spot. As I offered to pay for the repair, he declined to charge me. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Wow! My faith in humanity was restored. It was a burden off my chest, because I had been laid off the previous week and unemployment checks were inconsistent over the last month. I called my parents immediately after it happened because I was so overjoyed by the kindness. It's not the money, but the gesture. A lot of business help for different reasons (politics, image, etc.) but this was authentic, simple and genuine. Philip and the team here went above and beyond repairing a damaged door on my car. The communication was excellent throughout the process and the estimating process was pain free (they let me provide pictures over email). I left some important documents in the car by accident and Sophia helped me retrieve them just in the nick of time. My repair was completed early and the car was completely cleaned and sanitized. Super Impressed with these guys. I had a dented fender and I had been shopping around a few months before committing about initial estimates. After exploring five or so body shops, I walked away impressed by the older owner and he gave the lowest estimate of all the others. Now, a few months, I revisited most of the shops and was still greeted by the same begrudging service by most. However, even though the owners had changed, these guys were awesome. First off, they said could still make the original estimate. Also, I had since had another minor damage and they offered a quick estimate for that and threw in a few other touchups for the front. Let's just say their initial estimate was the best I had seen and this new offer was even better. Everyone was friendly and the place looks wonderful, unlike some shops. Got my car back and they went so far as to work on the interior even though I was definitely getting a deal. The car looks beautiful and I love it! Already started recommending this place to others! read more

The back story (you skim-readers can skim over this part) A black Honda Prelude decided to aggressively kiss the front fender of our truck while I was making a legal left turn on a yellow light. The light had turned red by the time the other driver ran it, saw me and attempted to stop. No physical injuries but our truck was smiling like Elvis because there was damage to the front bumper and fender assembly. You should see the other car. I got a check from my insurance company since the other driver denied being at fault. I called Ford's Body Shop. Turns out Bill Pierre Ford hasn't had a body shop for months now and they have been sending all there body work to ARA Collision. I call ARA and I find out they are one of my Insurance company's preferred body shops. The following is why I think they totally rock. 1. The staff there are totally friendly and knowledgeable. 2. They have their own rental cars (currently 3 of them) and are cheaper than Enterprise Auto Rental. $27.00 a day and they don't have all those additional taxes added onto the rental fee. I rented a really nice 2008 Honda Element (they have two of them) for the 5 days our truck was being repaired and my final rental bill was around $148 and some change. You can't beat that. 3. They do first rate work. Our truck, looked like it had never been hit. They even removed the dead Vole that apparently bunked in a space in the old fender last winter and had died there (poor fella!). 4. When I picked up our beloved truck, they had actually washed, vacuumed and detailed it. It looked fabulous. I was giddy! Bottom line: If you have a fender bender or even major body work needs, you owe it to yourself and your beloved vehicle, to check out ARA collision. Based on my strict criteria for workmanship and customer service, they are as good as it gets. read more

I have had to use ARA twice this year, and while I wish I would not have to visit them, they make the process of car repair painless and professional. I mean, c'mon, nobody likes to take their car to the body shop right? Well, these guys are standouts in their field. The first time I went in for a complete fix of the front end of my Toyota after an accident. Todd, the manager, was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He always called me to let me know the progress of my car, even when I was out of town. When I got my car back, it looked fantastic. I could hardly tell it had been in an accident a week before. Unfortunately, I had to call Todd again a month ago when some jerk decided to break into my car. Not only did he smash the window but he tried to rip open the door with something large and metal, thus ripping apart the door frame. The tow truck driver asked me where he should take my car after I was involved in a pretty epic car accident. Still completely in shock, I told him that I lived in Shoreline and somewhere in North Seattle would probably be best. He brought me here. The experience itself was not fun, but ARA made it easier. I called my insurance company from their waiting area and ARA took care of the rest. When I asked if I could sit in the lobby for a while longer because my ride home was at least an hour away, they drove me home. Todd kept in touch with me over the next week while the estimate was being hammered out. After the repairs were finished he contacted me via e-mail and phone that I could pick up my car. Since I was out of the country at the time he said he'd keep it for an extra week until I could come pick it up. No problem. On the day I picked it up I was totally amazed. They had un-done about $10,000 in front-end damage. About two miles after I picked it up I noticed a small knob on the dash was missing. I immediately went back to the shop and they fixed it right there on-the-spot. The repairs were guaranteed said Todd, so if anything looked/acted funny I should just come right back. Since then my car has worked great-as-before and I'm so glad the tow truck driver recommended ARA. Hopefully I won't be back though! :) read more

Harris Ford takes their auto's there so figured since I was leasing one from them that is where I should take my car. I am so glad I did, they were up front and honest about some delays that happened (not their fault) and always spoke with me when I called. My car has been at this shop 7 weeks with no timeline for completion. After parts were ordered and arrived at shop, I brought the car in to get fixed. After a month I was told the body work was completed and it was going to be painted. My insurance rental car time expired (30 day) so I rented a car self-pay. One week went by with promise of paint but no paint. I have stopped in several times a week starting Oct. 26 2022 till today Nov19 and every time I have been told my car is next to be painted, On Wednesday Nov 16 I asked to see my car. The car is in the back lot missing parts and nowhere close to being done. I had to return the rental due to costs, I am out a car for transportation. This shop continues to make up stories and be dishonest about completion time. I do not recommend taking your car to a shop that will not tell you the truth, they are stringing me along for some reason. Sean C read more

I wish I could give this company less than 1 star. I went here because the shop is very close to my home. They under quoted me on the length of time to fix my vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle they did not do all of the repairs that we had discussed. My vehicle also had multiple new scratches on it when I picked it up. I have had to bring my vehicle back to them more than a hand full of times for things that I have notice have been put back together incorrectly multiple parts were not lined up and other parts were hanging off of my vehicle. They also did terrible work on my friends vehicle as well. They are working with me to remedy all of the issues. This is still costing my money and time and this could have all been avoided if the work was done correctly the first time. read more

my 2010 corvette zr1 s clearcoat on my roof was damaged after a local national windshield glass company installed it..! i was told the ARA collision was specialized in corvette damage by my chev service center rep.here in seattle wa. I took it there and ARA went to work getting claims sorted out and cutting through the red tape with the large multinational company to get the process going! ARA was fantastic they replaced my cabon fiber roof proffesioally re installed all inside trim and fabric and reinstalled the windshield. The corvette is looking brand new along with some addional work i had them do for paint touch ups and front fender paintng. i will give them 5 stars for installation service along with painting and customer service. !marty read more

I have used Carstar ARA for many years, always with very satisfactory results. I took my car in late 2019 and had absolutely the best, most professional service from beginning to end. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeble receptionist and estimator dealt with me the first day. The estimator gave me the time line and explained that if they found hidden damage it would take a little longer. It was nice to know that up front. The receptionist suggested car rental companies with whom they had good relationships and explained the ease of pick up and delivery. The next day, I left my car and was picked up by the rental service. Great communication by all during the process. I received email notifications as well as phone calls with updates etc. Everything went as planned and when I picked up my car and left the rental there, my car looked better than new, and still does. Now that Todd has moved on after selling to Carstar...Daniel is running the show apparently w/ some or many of the former employees. He's a good front man...pleasant, good communication skills etc. The shop itself can do good work. Granted I had to bring it back for a re-do primarily cause the ding wasn't smoothed out adequately and the paint didn't match entirely. I'm happy NOW. Looks like I expected it should after the first go 'round. Perhaps a teaching tool? I'd go back...now that they know they can only do a good job for me...less means it coming back. Daniel took care of me and tolerated my diminishing tolerance. Ended up OK. I think ANY body shop is a crap shoot to some extent. ARA tried to meet my expectations and ultimately did. read more

I have always loved these guys and been coming to them for years and always have been happy. That being said....I took my car in and they fixed it and were in quite a hurry to get me out the door (in the past they had no problem with me calling in a credit card) I was prompted to pay immediately which is normal in most cases , however, all I had was my debit card and I needed the funds in there to pay my mortgage. I paid with that card and figured I would get a cash advance and figure it out. Now , the reason RON hurried me out was because later I noticed they had taken a wheel off my car. I have no idea what someone would want with one wheel...the colors didn't match and I was actually willing to accept that but this was unacceptable , especially because I was in tears and the nice one (Todd) was trying to calm me down and the owner got on the phone and was very mean. Instead of trying to help me or saying he would find the wheel he said and I quote "Maybe aliens took it"!!! I sent numerous people to them over the years and this was so very disappointing, and not a good time for it to happen. I will not be returning, and I have told many many many people of this and it just happened today. read more

My insurance agent suggested this place but so did the guy at work who loves cars so I figured how could I go wrong. The great thing about this place is that it is an Allstate insurance endorsed shop so their estimate is also the insurance company's inspection and the work is guaranteed for as long as you own the car. They use only OEM parts unless you specify they can use replicas. Some jack wad backed into the front of my parked car with his trailer hitch and took out my hood, grill and bumper. It looks good as new now. The only problem I had was that it took longer than expected because the wrong part was delivered. A week is too long to be without a car. read more

I scratched up the side of my new Honda and was looking for a quality shop in my area to have the repairs done. After looking through shops covered by my insurance and checking out their Yelp reviews, ARA quickly stood out as a top contender. My experience with Ron, the owner definitely lived up to the previous praise he's received. I first went through Yelp's online estimate process and was quickly out in touch with a facilitator with ARA. After providing a series of photos of the scratches, Ron got back to me in under 24hr with an detailed estimate. Not only that, but he was able to get me in first-thing the following Monday. When I arrived, we took a look at the damage and I mentioned I could live without some of the molding work included in the original estimate. There was no pressure or up-selling, Ron even offered to get out some of the marks without going so far as to replace the parts. This ended up cutting the estimate down by a third, which was very welcome news as I was paying out of pocket. I was given a rental to commute with during the repairs with no additional charge, and the car was ready by EOD Tuesday. The touch-up work looks fantastic, really pleased with the quality and attention to detail. They even cleaned up the interior and exterior of the car! Based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend ARA to others. After the stress of scratching my brand new baby, working with ARA was such a relief. A great customer experience. Also have to note that I agree with some of the previous comments about their office space. It was very clean and well furnished. It might sound odd, but that was refreshing to see and set a great tone for the rest of the experience! read more

I was not impressed - my insurance company suggested them. They took a month to fix my car and the paint is a different shade from the rest of my car. When i pointed this out they gave me some run around and told me it was because I dont take wax my car enough. If it was a simple wax problem - why didnt they wax? They told me some guy would come out and wax it for $75...seems like that should have been part of their service for that price...the fact is, in the end, the paint is not the same color and they didnt want to redo it. read more

Did not inspect the car for all of the damage. My car broke down because of damage they didn't see and I had to take it to a garage. My insurance company told me that carstar should have referred me to a mechanic, but they didn't, and still weren't able to after the existing damage had caused me to get the car towed. Their excuse: we're a body shop. Not good enough, you could have put my life in danger, and the damage was obvious to any watchful eye. read more

I had to get body work done to my car and needed it fast. I called around and no one seemed terribly excited to serve me. I called ARA and they jumped on the opportunity to get me in right away, They provided me with a loaner car and were super easy to work with. They exceeded expectations by buffing out a scratch that was unrelated to the accident and returning my car sparkling clean inside and out. Great experience from start to finish! We had a fairly minor repair (bashed in door) to be repaired. Ron and Sherry are fabulous to work with. From the appraisal to the completed job, everything was very clear. The car was finished on time. It was completely cleaned out and the bodywork looks like it did before damage. Also have to mention the spotless office, comfortable seating. Sounds minor, but after seeing some very dirty, shabby offices, this was a very nice experience. Recently had a dent removed from the tailgate of my car. The team went above and beyond to make this an easy and positive experience. Communication was excellent, the work was completed in a timely manner and was completed a day or two ahead of schedule. The car was returned having been cleaned inside and out, even removing some spots that I had been unable to remove on my own. The dent was repaired as if it never existed. Also note that this is the second car body repair we have had performed at CARSTAR ARA in north Seattle and both times we have been 100% satisfied. read more
