Went here three times in a week. The hours posted are 8:00-5:00pm. I made my initial appointment 1/30 at 4:30pm. When I arrived the person made me feel as if they were doing me a favor. It was around 4:50. Dropped my car off 2/3 around the same time. I didn't want to be nuisance so I waited for my ride in the parking lot. They locked the doors and turned off all the lights at 4:50. I was invited to wait inside but didn't feel comfortable. Came back on 2/5 at 4:20 to pick up my car. Had I come in any later I wouldn't have been able to pick up my car. read more

I would not recommend taking your Tesla here. I had to return the car twice to re-glue a sensor - very inconvenient to waste half a day doing this. They also were not able to correct the wind noise issue, but Tesla Service Center was. They will also hold your car hostage if the insurance company owes them $1 until the payment has cleared - probably not a bad business practice, but frustrating none the less. State Farm authorized Carstar to repair our truck after it was involved in a collision. The A/C immediately stopped working after the accident. When Carstar sent the diagnostic form to State Farm and us it didn't include the a/c so i called and spoke to Mono who stated that everything would be looked at and that the diagnostic report was just preliminary but they would check everything, However, just in case he would add a note about the a/c. When the truck was ready for pick up, we drove off and the a/c wasn't blowing cold air. We called them back and Rebecca told us that it looked like the a/c had not been worked/looked at but that they could take a look at it if we brought the truck back in. We did and they came back saying that "all the liquids looked good" so it must be something else. We contacted State Farm who did say that they had authorized them to look at the a/c but now Carstar was saying that it just wasn't affected by the collision, which if that was the case, everyone knows that they would have made it known from the get-go since I had pointed it out as a concern. He snapped back at me with a, "How could I tell you that if I haven't even seen your car yet?" when I asked him about a possible repair timeline. My question about estimated repair time may have been stupid to you, but there could have been a better way of responding to a potential new customer. My car was hit in a parking lot and the other parties insurance company referred me to CARSTAR. I went in for an estimate and was greeted by Rebecca. I was immediately offered snacks or water which I thought was a nice option while I waited. They promptly did the estimate and submitted everything to the other insurance company. Price was about 2k for the damage. Went ahead and made the appointment for their next available which was the end of March. I received a call earlier asking if I could bring the car in sooner. Took the car in and they estimated 3 days. They reached out to Enterprise rental to have me picked up too. Picked up my car the other day and they did an amazing job! I was skeptical since my paint is a white pearl but you'd never know anything happened to it. Their quality of work is outstanding! First, the repair took over a month to complete (approx. 6 weeks). Second, their app to monitor the status to the repair apparently wasn't accurate as it indicated the car was ready (and a text to us said it was) but when we called in, they told us it was not ready. The vehicle ended up not being ready for about another week. Here comes a HUGE, well-deserved shout out to these guys for nursing my baby back to health. He looked as beautiful as the day I bought him when I came over to CCC to pick him up. My first major repair with my once-new Honda was quite an emotional ride for me, though thankfully I have continued my rich tradition of not being inside my cars when they are damaged. A rogue texting millennial in a Benz did quite a number on E. as he was parked innocently at my bff's house in the Arden area on a Saturday in January. He must have creamed E. at nearly 40 mph. I found my baby nearly on someone's lawn, three houses up from where I had parked him. Surprise, the kid was uninsured and pops was about to blow a gasket of his own. See pictures. I will now also take this time to express the importance of ALWAYS calling the police to make a report when someone hits you, regardless of what bogus story is told to you by the people who hit you. I will also take the time to stress the importance of having uninsured motorist coverage built into your auto insurance policy. If you don't, do it now. I didn't pay a penny for this mess, but I did need to wrestle with my insurance company to make sure I was given what I was due. It pays to know your policy front and back, and keep pestering them. I reached out to my trusted mechanic and he recommended Eric here at Capitol Collision Center. Turns out that Eric was also the one that pieced together my hood and windshield when a deer fell ONTO my old Ford Taurus, back when he worked at Auburn Collision Center. It's reassuring to have trusted contacts and feel at ease when something like this happens, it really is. Do you know what else is nice when the universe craps problems like this out willy nilly? A flexible auto shop. CCC was totally chill with me bringing E. by after hours, at around 6 to be precise, and dropping my key inside their mailbox outside. This was of course prearranged over the phone. CCC continued to provide me excellent customer service in the form of email, text, and phone correspondence in the coming three weeks that E. lived at the shop being put back together again. I did learn a valuable lesson about making absolutely sure that the physical adjuster comes to the shop to survey the damage, that way if things need to be taken apart inside the car, as needed to happen in my case, it can be done and a proper amount can be estimated promptly. If I had understood how important this is ahead of time, I might have been able to shave off a few days of waiting and pacing. That is the fault of AAA, and not of this shop. They tried to warn me and I didnae listen. Anyway, to the tune of nearly 8k and 60 hours of labor later (none of which came out of my pocket, darn tootin'), E. was fully restored to his former glory by the fine folks here at Capitol Collision Center. The pictures don't show how crunched up the undercarriage and trunk were by the uninsured dingaling, but it was pretty bad. My trunk was so bent that the carpeted piece that fits above the spare no longer laid flat inside, but was instead propped up like some kind of makeshift tent. I was in an accident. Our estimate was just over $5000. The actual cost was just under $10,000. From start to finish this has been a horrible experience. The office lady Rebecca is rude and not at all helpful. They had my car for 15 days. I checked on its progress 3 times. Had my son call once because of the rude responses. She needs to understand most of their clients have been in a car accident. That is traumatic enough. Her attitude and rudeness just adds to it. Upon inspection of the car I realized they painted it the wrong color. Toyota has 2 white colors. White pearl and super white. My car is super white. They painted the passenger side pearl white. And the bumper is not properly installed. They forgot to attach the middle clips so their is a gap between the bumper and the headlights. Furthermore the quarter panel is not set correctly with the front fender and the side post is not evenly lined up. I went to a insurance suggested body shop. Insurance says they are responsible for fixing it. If I have to have a rental car they are responsible for its cost and the repair of the bumper and repainting the correct color. They are refusing to do the work. They say their is a hole in the bumper that they think I put there. Their is no hole in my bumper. They did crappy work, and now don't want to fix what they messed up. I also believe my insurance company was overcharged for the repair. This is a 2020 Toyota Corolla. Car Max says on a trade in its worth $12,600 and CarStar told me it's value is over $19,000. I'm not sure why they didn't just total the car. The repairs are over 50% of the value of the car. Not a single time did CarStar call me to tell me if the progress they were making. Nor did they call me to tell me the repairs had doubled. Never again will I have CarStar repair my car if in another accident. I do expect them to repair what they messed up. I have a feeling I will be contacting the BAR Association (Bureau of Automotive Repair) with the state of California to have them look further into this as well as the BBB (Better Business Bureau). I did go to a different body shop where they pointed out all the flaws in CarStars work. Next week I will be taking the bill from CarStar to an independent body shop to see if we were overcharged. Look at these pictures and see for yourself. The 2 center clips are missing on the bumper. My hood is loose because they did not adjust the latch properly. I am in no way pleased with their workmanship and would advise you not to take any car their for repairs or painting. read more

BEWARE of taking your car in if it has any mechanical door damages. My 16 Grand Caravan was rear-ended, bumper folded up over liftgate. They returned the van to me; when opening still making a horrendous metal-binding sound. The quality of the work on the van aesthetically is shotty to say the least. This passed their quality control? In a nutshell if you have borderline fame/panel damage they won't get to the root of the problem they chose to only fix the top layers of replaceable parts then use a leverage tool to try and straighten it from the top. (band-aid it) As well as our driver side door is now sprung since being in the shop. We thought it was part of the accident, but when we began to investigate it once home the hinge is now separated from the body of the van, you can stick a credit card in the gap. When brought to their attention they lubricated it*?* My van is like new and well taken care of and had no issues at all prior to the accident. Now not only is the workmanship low-quality aesthetically, are driver door is damaged due to the shop personnel hyperextending it. Very sad, very disheartening. Consumers beware. We only took it to this shop for the convenience of being a mile from home. read more

I got side swiped by a young guy so I took it here for a estimate in the middle of the week. Brought it back in the following Monday for repair. It was supposed to be finished that Friday but it didn't get done until the following Friday but it wasn't their fault because they were waiting for my back rim to arrive from the wheel shop. The people at this place are honest people and I value that they gave me such a great service in dealing with them. I took my car and then immediately I had a couple of opinions from both Mike and Thomas and they told me exactly the kind of procedure that will be done to my car. They were excellent in dealing with my insurance AAA, although I had to face some delays with AAA with people being on vacation during the holiday season I had to push back the date of my repairs anyways so and it up working out for me. I'm sure you will read in the earlier comments that they offer complimentary snacks and Beverages and a Keurig coffee machine. You can see that from my before and after photos of the red car with the rear bumper snafu just how good the workmanship is. TL;DR: My car is fixed but CARSTAR delayed repairs for three months, texted me to pick up my car and then wouldn't let me take it home for another week and a half, and took my belongings. Long version: I asked CARSTAR if they could send an estimate to my insurance company. They said they would take care of communication with my insurance company, but after almost a month went by I followed up. My insurance company had approved the repairs weeks earlier. I had to call CARSTAR before they finally got repairs scheduled three months after I had originally asked for the estimate. CARSTAR said the repairs would take a week (a previous shop had completed more extensive repairs on our car in two days, for half the price). They texted me to say what time my car would be ready and they would call if there were any delays. So my husband showed up to collect our car at the time they had indicated, only to find out that Rebecca had gone home for the weekend already and my car was not ready. This was quite inconvenient for us as a single car family who had had to reschedule our entire day and get my husband's mother to drive him to the shop, and we also had to cancel our weekend trip. I called CARSTAR the next Monday and it turns out they were holding my car for ransom--they wouldn't let me have my car until my insurance company paid up. I pointed out that my insurance company had clearly communicated months before that they were going to pay for the repairs after the repairs were completed and I had paid my deductible. If CARSTAR had a problem with that, they should have worked it out before ever taking my car for repairs. Rebecca said too bad, that's not how it works, and she wouldn't let me have my car until she got the check from my insurance company, a week and a half later. Of course this was horribly inconvenient for our single car family. When we finally got our car back, after a week and a half of sitting idle in the shop, we found that some of our belongings had been removed from the car. They weren't worth much, but why would CARSTAR take our belongings? I called to ask if they perhaps had misplaced them somewhere, Rebecca said she would check, and we never heard back. If you have the choice of a different repair shop, steer clear of this CARSTAR location. read more

Brought my new 2019 Colorado in for a pretty bad accident, 14+ damages that they "fixed" after we received it back twice it was still clearly damaged as the trucks front left wheel was still shoved in and there was a unequal gap on the left where the bed and cab meet, they could not correct the issue and swore that it was better than factory. Took it to another shop and my FRAME is BENT, new frame is 3500 and putting the labor to tear down and reinstall will be 5 so that will put the totally at over 24G worth of damage for a 20G truck all because Car "star" used the wrong model of frame jig according to my insurance. Please just DON'T. Truck looks great to someone that doesn't know cars but I've been in the business for 29 years not just another chic... I took my car to Carstar for some back end repairs in January 2022. The car was supposed to be there for ten days and they got done in 9 days which was great but they didn't fix my car with the correct parts. I contacted the shop and they told me they were going to make it right and fix the issue. After a week they told me to stop by to install the new parts. When I arrived at the shop I noticed they had the wrong parts again. They told me they would reorder the correct parts. The shop never called me back to resolve my issue. After two weeks I decided to call the shop again. Their response was that I was on my own. My 2017 Honda Pilot Elite was rear ended resulting in about $13,500 damage. The vehicle was six months old at the time of the accident with fewer than 10,000 miles on the odometer. Due to prior experience with other shops, I'm very apprehensive about my dealing with auto body repair facilities. I maintain my car meticulously, including its appearance (I detect flaws that other body layman don't notice or simply don't care about), and I was searching for a place that puts pride into their work and are quality focused. While researching shops I came across these reviews and decided to call Capitol Collision Center. I talked to Eric, who described in detail their processes, and assured me that they would repair my vehicle correctly. I scheduled an appointment and we took it from there. Eric kept me well informed throughout the process. They even made an adjustment to one of my doors and replaced one of the door handles that I scratched up with a replacement part I had purchased, without charging for the work, although I offered to pay (neither of these were related to the accident). Whatever concern I had, Eric was there to answer it, in his cheerful, friendly, and utmost professional manner. I spoke to Rebecca 2 hours after my car accident on Aug. 28th and my car was in their shop by 3pm on Aug. 28th! When I walked in Tina greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. Rebecca walked out before I could put my butt in a seat. Rebecca is extremely professional and efficient. She introduced herself and confirmed she would be handling my car. She took pictures, handled the paperwork, and gave me a full run down of simple to worst case scenario. Carstar's communication is like no other; text notifications for each stage of the repair, and a link with repair cost details.
