Kneisels body shop is I one of the most professional and aesthetically impressive shops I've ever seen. The lobby is large and comfortable, with sofas, TVs, and refreshments like coffee and water available while you wait. A few pine cones smashed my back window and left some dents on my hood and trunk (yes, seriously pine cones). I am not entirely convinced that Kniesel's didn't just replace my car with a new one--BEAUTIFUL job!! Their team was quick, communicative, and friendly. I've had extensive repairs performed on my Rivian R1T, totaling over $50k, which took some time due to parts availability and the sheer magnitude of the work. I have nothing but positive remarks about my experience throughout this process. Steve and Adam, the manager and assistant manager of this location, have kept me apprised every step of the way, listened to all my concerns, and addressed them properly. When I asked for an adjustment post-repair, it was handled with care. I would strongly caution Tesla or EV owners before bringing their vehicle here. My Cybertruck was brought to Kniesel after a rear-end collision. Very early on, it became clear that the shop does not have the level of high-voltage (HV) EV expertise required to properly evaluate or handle a Tesla after a crash. I specifically asked whether any high-voltage diagnostics had been run to check for HV faults or crash related shutdowns. Instead of an actual HV diagnostic report, I was shown a photo of the vehicle's notification center, which immediately raised concerns. At that point, it was clear they were not trained or equipped to properly diagnose high voltage EV systems. The shop also represented the vehicle as "driveable," which later proved to be false. Two different tow companies struggled to move the vehicle, with one unable to get it out of the shop at all, and the second spending hours attempting to tow it due to the vehicle being immobilized. This directly contradicted what I was told by the shop. For a high-voltage EV like a Tesla, accuracy and proper training matter, especially when safety systems are involved. Based on my experience, I would recommend taking a Tesla or any EV directly to a Tesla Collision Center or dealership, where proper HV diagnostics and OEM procedures can be followed. read more

They kept me informed throughout the entire process with regular updates and explanations of the work being done. And the work they did was beautiful. My 2014 Mazda looked at least 10 years younger. Recently I stopped by to get an estimate when part of my front bumper had come loose and not snapping back into place. Mark took a look at it and immediately fixed the problem! I couldn't be more grateful that he didn't automatically tell me the only thing to do was replace the entire bumper. There's no place else I would consider going. read more

Had my car here for repairs for a bumper paint job. The repair was completed quickly, but the paint match was not so great. I didn't notice this when I picked it up because it was raining. Very transparent with the repairs... until the very end. Decided to drop a $600 bomb on us to get a small piece of the complete part and installed it without notifying us about this change until the day it came to pick it up. Mind you, the estimated cost was already $2600 for a small head on collision with a Toyota Tundra, which was then increased to $3200. There was no consent via text message or phone call to installing this part in additional to an increase towards payment. We were promised a final invoice of $2600. I only went through this shop because of the Geico partnership; otherwise, we would've trusted another well-owned, local third-party shop to have done the job. read more

I'm writing this review not out of anger, but to help others make an informed decision when choosing a collision repair center. My experience with Kniesel's Collision - Power Inn was far from smooth, and I feel it's important to share what happened. After being rear-ended, my insurance company recommended Kniesel's since it was a certified shop nearby. I'd never been in an accident before, so I followed their advice to get the process started quickly. My vehicle was towed there on a Friday, but I wasn't told until just before they closed that they needed my Tesla key card. I dropped it off the following Monday and met with my assigned advisor, Gabriel, who assured me I'd receive an estimate by the end of the day. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I followed up myself the next day, and it wasn't until Wednesday that any real update was given--and even then, it was directed to my father, who was listed on the policy but is not the vehicle owner. I had already introduced myself in person and made it clear that I should be the main point of contact. That message was ignored multiple times throughout this process. It continued to go downhill when I found out parts were ordered without my approval. I had explicitly told Gabriel I wasn't ready to proceed and needed time to review the estimate with my insurance. When I brought this up, I was told that both I and my father had approved the order--which was not true. I requested recordings, and after several days, they provided a call with my father that clearly showed no approval was given. Still, I was told they would only waive part of the restocking fee. It wasn't until I mentioned potential legal action that they agreed to waive the full charge. On top of this, I was also billed a disassembly fee, despite their website claiming "100% free estimates with no obligation." That felt misleading and unfair, especially after everything else. At one point, Gabriel told me I was wasting my time trying to get a second opinion, even though the cost of repairs was very close to the threshold for the vehicle being totaled. I found that comment dismissive and unprofessional, especially from someone who was supposed to be helping guide me through the repair process. I'm a full-time student and work full time, so every delay and miscommunication added unnecessary stress. What should have been a straightforward process became overwhelming due to poor communication and a lack of accountability. I've since transferred my vehicle to another shop that values transparency and treats customers with the professionalism they deserve. If you're like me and want to avoid added stress during an already difficult situation, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your repair needs. read more

The worst experience I've had for the repair. Avoid this place. Had a door ding needing repair along with paint job on the roof of my tesla model s. Chose this place based on Tesla certified shop. After evaluating, it was determined that I needed a new door (passenger side front door) which had to be ordered from tesla. I'm good with that. Matt (service rep) went ahead to order and gave me a date to bring in the car which is when it is estimated for the door to arrive. Estimate time of repair 10 days (2 weeks since counting working days). It's been nearly a month now and still not done yet. Finally came to pick up the car and paid deductible after insurance paid. Came to the car to drive and noticed a bunch of error codes on the car mainly had to do with charge port. Currently sitting in waiting room getting that taken care of. Shouldn't the car be fully inspected before telling customer to come and pick up the car. The only thing Matt had said was sorry and that they are doing their best. If this was their best, I will seriously question when they are not at their best. Reconsider before choosing this place. I haven't even seen the quality of the work. After waiting for about an hr, Matt and another rep came to tell me that they are unable to fix it today and will need to do some hard reboot overnight. Needless to say, it was a waste of my time coming for nothing. On top of that, I don't even know when I will get the car back . Frustrating experience. read more

Had my truck worked on here, and have had previous cars done as well. Gabe was my primary contact and he was good, Katie at the front desk was amazing. But, I'm really frustrated with how my truck came back to me. It was "detailed" by their team. There's wax smear marks on the new part that was installed, my windows have streaks and smears everywhere, my rims look like crap, my hood of my truck had dirt scraped across it, there's watermarks and drip marks. So, sure, the panel they repainted looks good (kudos to paint team), but the rest of the truck got treated like garbage and now I'm paying for their mistake and to get it detailed correctly. Overall, moderate experience at best. It did not WOW me, that's for sure. read more

I had someone hit my parked car and so I reported it to my insurance company and they gave me a few options for shops that they work with. I chose Kniesel's Collision on Power Inn since it was the closest to me. Honestly the best decision I could have made. First, it was super easy to get an appointment for an estimate. I just filled out their contact form on the website and they emailed me basically next day for an appointment the following Monday. I emailed on a Thursday night and they responded on Friday. The estimate did not take long, Adam was the one that helped me out, originally he said it could take up to 7 days, depending if the panel would come out the way he wanted it to. Then said appointments for the actual job may be 3 weeks out. I speak to the front desk, and she gets me in 2 weeks instead of 3. When dropping my car off and confirming with my insurance that I have rental car coverage, Kniesel's collision has an agreement with Enterprise, so Enterpirse picked me up down the street at Kniesel's to pick up my rental car! So convenient for those who need a car and have no one to take them place to place! My car was done in 3 days instead of 7 days as originally scheduled. When Adam called and told me my car was ready, it wouldn't be ready till 4pm on a Friday and I had no way of picking up the car as I had to work at 3pm. To my surprise, and absolute amazement, Adam said to let him know where my work was and he would drive my car to me and pick up the rental for Enterprise so they can pick it up from Kniesel's location. It helped a lot to avoid extra charges and stress! I would recommend Kniesel's Collision on Power Inn to others any day! I'm so happy I chose them! I even heard someone in the lobby room saying they brought someone else there because they know the work this place does!! And I cannot agree more!!! read more

So I came down here because my trim cover had came off and looking online I read that they had a lot of good reviews. I made an appointment got there n checked in. The lady said it was gonna be a few minutes. Then 15 minutes went by. I asked her how much longer since it was just me and another gentleman, and he had said that he was already being helped. So she told me she was sorry because she forgot that I was sitting right there. Another 15 minutes went by nothing happened. I asked her again. She goes oh let me get somebody. I totally forget. Which really did irritate me because I'm sitting right there!!! I said OK 30 minutes of waiting was irritating, but the fact that she forgot about me, and I was sitting right in the front!!! Then finally some guy came out, he checked out my car. He told me that he had to takeoff my whole front bumper to fix a small trim cover . Btw I have a Nissan Sentra and the trim cover is where my so-called fog lights are supposed to go so it could've been snapped back in. He gave me an estimate of $2500. Telling me that without taking the whole front bumper on, they wouldn't be able to fix the trim cover because he had to snap it back in with tools. I told him no thank you that was fine. So I got back online and I found a different place and I went to this different place, I paid $100 for him to take the side piece of my bumper off, fix the dent and put my trim cover back on. I get it a lot of people would go there because they have really good reviews and they're big named company but also taking advantage of people and lying to them about how much something is really gonna cost isn't a good thing either but whoever wants to go there that's good for them me I'm glad I went somewhere else. read more

I've been to Kneisels in the past and would have given them 5 stars. But between supply chain problems and a rotating staff, I pretty much got left out to dry. My adjustor, Igor, left Kneisels but no one told me this. I had no knowledge of my status. I got an appointment to have my trunk replaced (someone rear ended me) for SIX weeks after the initial adjustment. Why so long? Supply chain and short staffed, I was told. So imagine my surprise when I FINALLY took the car in and was told they didn't have the part. It was another 8 days before it was fixed. The repair itself was good, but the experience was less so. read more

However their customer service department needs work. I was recommended through my insurance company after someone vandalized my car. They estimate the work way below the deductible, which was less than my deductible,but when I mentioned paying the expense out of pocket, they now want to charge over $1000 dollars for the same repair. Overall, we had a good experience at this Kniesels. I called with an issue we may have been able to get covered under warranty, but we just didn't' want to hassle with that or the dealership. Every single person I spoke with out this went out of their way to make sure we were saving money where we could, which was really nice and reassuring. They even gave me a few tips to see if we could solve our problem at home, but alas we had to bring it in. The team in the Power Inn location were also so nice and helpful and friendly and made the process as smooth as possible, and really what more can you ask for? In the end they gave us a "worst case scenario" quote, and ended up fixing the car for about 1/3 of that, which was obviously a super happy surprise. The ONLY down side was that we dropped our car off on a Friday morning and were told we'd have it back by Tuesday. We didn't get it till the following Friday. It seemed like there was some issues with ordering the part, which was frustrating. Even with that hiccup, I'd go back. Just be sure to pad your turn around time just in case. read more

When my Tesla needed a major repair after an accident, I had so much anxiety at how the repair process would be. I heard so many horror stories about it from the forum that I dreaded having to go through it myself.
