I do not have off-street parking and my car is parked under a streetlight. That streetlight is actually a spotlight for bad drivers, vandals, and thieves. My car is a frequent victim and so I often need repairs. After being sideswiped on a snowy evening last December, Carstar Riverside fixed up my Mazda as good as new. The repair job was great, and the customer service was excellent. It is not one of those intimidating car repair shops. Believe me, I've been to those...where the very air is thick with condescension. It isn't like that at this place. Just last month I was hit again, this time by the USPS and Carstar was first on my list for getting an estimate. from driving home after work on January 11 I got stuck in the freezing rain around 4-430pm and slid into a curb. I had my car towed to Carstar in riverside. the tow service forgot about my vehicle on Monday so it arrived on Tuesday the 14. carstat said they couldn't find the keys so I came and found the keys. they told me it would be a few weeks before they could even look at the vehicle. I understood that with all the ice it could take a little while. after weeks go by I went back and they told me that it was going to be a while longer because they only had one lift to work on the vehicles that are not drivable. I called the insurance company and voiced my concern about finding another shop and they were against that and even said I could have to pay a restocking fee for the parts, so I reluctantly left my vehicle there. A few weeks go by and no one called or contacted us to give any kind of update unless we called and complained about how slow the work was being done. Last week they said it would be ready on Friday provided that the sensor came in for the repair to be complet, so today I was shocked to find out that Carstar actually called and told my wife that the vehicle would not be ready due to a cable kit being needed and it would be wednesday this following week. the insurance company has paid for a rental up until the 9th of this month so it has been an inconvenience for us only having one vehicle for the last two weeks so by the time I will actually get my vehicle back it will have been 44-45 days to me this seems a bit excessive. I don't have money floating around to pay for a rental for 18 days. needless to say this is my way of letting others know not to take your vehicle to the riverside Mo Carstar if it is not drivable they only have one lift and it will take a while if anyone is in front of you to get service. Lacking in communication about only having one lift I would of gone somewhere else. read more

CARSTAR in Riverside, MO did a great job on my car. My insurance company didn't communicate with me or help me out much at all. CARSTAR had good reviews so I chose them, though it was a bit of a drive. It was worth it. They did great on my car and helped me with the details of further services I would need that my insurance company left me in the dark with. (State Farm) I had never been though this before. I had a collision about a month ago and due to the covid thing the repairs took longer than I'd have liked becaus of disruption in the auto parts supply chain. But I have nothing but I have nothing but good to say about CarStar in Riverside, MO! These people are fantastic and so easy to work with! Have had a couple minor things requiring attention since picking up my vehicle. I've been warmly greeted and very nicely treated upon these return visits. I cannot even adequately express the amazing service I received through CARSTAR Riverside!! They were accommodating to my work schedule when booking the estimate, they acknowledged me the second I walked in their door, and were extremely friendly/ professional through the whole interaction. I was able to sit in their lobby drinking a cappuccino they provided while they looked at my car. The owner, Mike Cupp, personally provided the estimate/ information regarding repairs needed. He shook my hand and addressed me by name. During the estimate process, he even retrieved a cleaning product and put in labor to see if that would repair the damage. It amazingly did!! He did not charge me for the estimate, product, or labor. He was honest about what he would personally do in this situation, but provided me other options if I thought these results were not to my satisfaction. Not only will I return here whenever I need future body work, I would not even hesitate to refer my family or friends!!
