It is hard to figure out negative reviews because my dealings with KELLER BROS has never been negative, work has always been done well and the managers are trust worthy and proffesional. The three year warranty is also for real, no double talk or trying to get out of paying, just honest and up front dealings. I had a timing belt and water pump installed a few months ago and on a trip back to Chicago the water pump started leaking. Had it repaired and gave the invoice to Chris Martin and he started the paperwork right away, a week and half later I had a check for the repairs. The leak was not a result of poor workmanship, just a faulty pump. The technicians at KELLER BROS are top of the line and do excellent work. Absolutely lousy place! I went there after my trusted mechanic retired and explained I wasn't stupid about vehicles and how they run. 1st it was a defective battery, then defective wiper blades, then the big one...they didn't service the brakes properly and broke the bleeder bolt off in the caliper trying to fix their mistakes! Their solution was to offer to sell me a new caliper at full retail and charge labor to install it! Right. Now, a few months later,my A/C I paid $210 to get charged is blowing nice HOT AIR! We've used Keller Brothers for a very long time. All of our different cars have been seen by them over the years, we completely trust them. What I especially notice is it's the same people Time After Time, they don't appear to have a lot of turnover. In my mind that's a good thing. They give you a good diagnosis, but definitely not high pressure. They're in a good central location which makes them easy to find. Definitely would recommend. Also most days when you go in they have the cutest little shop dog that comes to greet you. read more

They absolutely suck. My experience would horrify you. The customer service was nil. Perhaps a bit of sexism was at play. Take cation when deciding to go to them. The word on the street now, and I'm native to the area is, 20 yrs ago top notch now days mediocre at best. And that's going above for me saying even that. If I could give zero I would. Shop around. This is what happens to places like this, family owned was amazing for several years, times change, attitudes change. People care less, interested only in self. Peoples ideas of themselves have changed; competence and confidence are at a all time low. Then their work is shotty, customer service non existent. As for an owner, he's made out well for at least 20 yrs. He's done for himself older now. Attitude changed, retirement sets in. Who really cares anymore. You walk away with something you didn't expect when you came in. Not worth even stepping foot in the door. They have their base clients of 20 yrs. I spent nearly 3 thousand dollars on repairs and diagnostics with these jokers earlier this year. They told me they had finally solved the underlying problem with my truck and were confident they had a solution with one final repair. I said go ahead only to be told after paying that they were wrong and that my engine would need to be completely replaced to resolve the problem and that my vehicle wasn't worth doing this.... Awesome! I always felt they over charged, tried to scare the crap out of you into getting more work than you need and I personally will not be taking any of my vehicles there in the future. read more

They quickly diagnosed the problem with my son's car, gave me a rental car and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. Their cost estimate for the repair was fair. The best service I've had from a repair shop. Being a girl in my 20s I've always hated taking my car into the repair shop. Keller Bros took the time to explain what was wrong with my vehicle and made sure I got a good deal. They even gave me a lift to the post office when my car wasn't ready. Best repair and mechanical service that I have every received. Chris and the crew went above and beyond. My car was having an issue climbing in the mountains and they not only took it up and down the mountain numerous times to diagnose the problem (something other places refused to do) they took it all the way to Conifer to confirm the fix had been made. They gave me a loaner car the whole time and only charged me for repairs that fixed the issue not those that were repaired hoping to fix it. I've been taking my Ford F-150 to Keller Bros for several years for oil changes and repair work. I've always been completely satisfied with their work and customer service. My last visit was to see if they could repair a tail light assembly that was broken in an accident. The lens was broken and the bulbs were not working. The truck could not be safely driven in this state. I needed the truck for an extended trip planned for next week. Chris Morgan, my service rep, exceeded my expectations. He had a "how can we help you" attitude from the beginning. He researched local sources to find a new assembly and he had the work done within 3 hours. They're not going to try and sell you unnecessary repairs...they'll recommend so you can make an informed decision. Most of the employees have been there a while and the manger especially. We have been going to them for over 10 years. They are the most honest and upfront car repair I have ever used. I had a 1997 Cadillac that did not pass emissions. I took to it to them for a tune up and went back to emissions testing and it failed. Keller Brothers then upgraded spark plugs among other things, gave me a loaner and guaranteed it would pass. They took it to emissions testing and it passed. No charge to me for the upgrades and testing. Also, my 2012 sonata fuel pump went out. Replacing it was going to cost a lot of money, but what choice did I have? They called me and had checked the warranty. It still was barely in effect. They called a dealer, set an appointment for me to take it in that day and charged me nothing. They are honest, do great work and value their customers. read more

I went to Keller Bros for my 120,000 mile "check-up" on my '99 Toyota Corolla. They were rated A+ in both BBB and AAA, and I figured I couldn't go wrong. That was my first mistake. I scheduled an appointment and asked for a ride to work (no more than 4 minutes from their location) and was told, "no problem." I dropped the car off at 8:00 am and then had to wait over 30 minutes to get a ride to work. My car had been running great except for a little bit of shaking when I braked. At 5:00 I called to see what was going on, assuming my car should be done by then. Wrong again. I was told that they should be done by 6:00. Really? There wasn't anything major wrong. They were just doing routine maintenance. With no options, I stayed at work until 5:45, the latest I could get a ride with a co-worker back to the shop. The car was "almost" done, though they were happy to take my $1400 for all the work they did/were still doing. My car was finished just after 6:00 and they seemed very proud of themselves. I however was annoyed that my dogs had been home alone for almost 11 hours at this point and I still wasn't home. As I rode home, I noticed that not only was the shake in my brakes still there, but it was actually worse than when I dropped it off. Really? After 10 hours and $1400 they couldn't fix the one thing that was wrong with it? Upon further review of the itemized bill, I was charged $65 for an air filter. Really? I can get one for $16 from Pep Boys and change it myself. I am not car savvy, but this I can do. When I called to ask about it, they told me they gave me a "premium" air filter. I asked if it lasted longer, and was told "no, but it filters better." Sorry...I don't care about $50 worth of better filtering. I've been using the $16 ones for the past 11 years without any problems. They also wrote a small note about my rotors being warped (causing the shaking in the brakes) but never told me about that by phone. On my follow-up phone conversation, I was just told they "didn't think it was a big deal" but I could take it back and have them machined (for another several hundred dollars, I'm sure.) Upon later taking my car to a brake shop I trust, I was told the rotors were too slim to be machined and that the brakes themselves were dangerously worn as well. Don't you think a good auto shop should have told me about that? Moral of the story: Stay away from Keller Bros if you want your car fixed and your wallet saved. read more

My 84-year-old mother asked me to submit this review, and I've been delinquent in doing so. Here is what she wrote: "I bought four new tires at Keller Bros on September 10, 2010. A little over a month later I had a flat tire. I drove too far on it so I needed to have it replaced. When I got the new tire replaced at Keller Bros I mentioned that apparently there was no mishap with the old tire and the air just went out of it, and that I would like the other three tires checked for safety's sake, and perhaps they might check with the company that had sold them the tire. When I said this I didn't press the point, or scream and holler or demand anything at all, but was natually quite prepared to pay for the new tire and the labor. I just mentioned it in the conversation. When Keller Bros had put on the new tire I was presented not with a bill, but with a repair order I needed to sign, as follows: 'Service Request: Custiomer states tire became flat. She drove about 1/2 mile on it. Customer bought all four ties here. Inspect for safety. * - Replace one tire at no charge to the customer for satisfaction.' I was quite amazed! I hadn't even asked for anything!" Now THAT is good service! I can say that since that time my mother has been loyally visiting Keller Bros and continues to be happy with their service. (Our car is still under warranty, but once it's not, we'll probably go there too.) read more

Having to bring your car to the repair shop regardless of it being a planned service or an unexpected one is stressful. Keller Bros really does alleviate some of that stress. They are so friendly and very helpful with explaining whats going on with my car and answering all of my questions, taking the time to break things down for me so I can have more knowledge about my car and the repairs. They have helped me keep my 20 year old car on the road and in great condition. read more

If I could have given Keller Bros. no stars, I would have. We have used this repair location from time to time over many years, but it's really our very last resort. If we have to deal with them, we feel absolutely wrung out, as if we have to be on our guard every minute or they'll suggest/insist on something else. The up-selling here is flagrant. It seems as if everything needs a "diagnostic" of some kind. Even when I know exactly what I need, they insist that their diagnostics must be completed before work can begin. They are easily $100 for the simple ones, and it goes up from there. Those fees are in addition to any repairs, not applicable to the repairs!! They won't do any work without their diagnostics, even when I offered to sign a waiver which would take them off the hook for anything misdiagnosed. These clowns want to pad every repair conceivable to maximize their profits. One example was when I wanted my refrigerant recharged for my car's air conditioner. Should have been simple, right? They insisted they would need to check the whole system for leaks first - for a charge of course. No, I just wanted the system recharged. They refused to do it without their diagnostic. I walked out. In comparison, I went to Raceway to get it done, as I trust these folks. The guys there just did it. They put in an ultra-violet additive that will light up if there should be a leak. Told me to come back in a month or so, to get it checked. Gosh, that was simple! If Keller Bros. were the only repair shop left in town, I think I'd buy the book and do it myself. I really don't trust them to give an honest repair for an honest price. read more

There's also a pickup/dropoff service for those of us who need to get to and from work. Best part is, they told me when my car would not be worth fixing so I wouldn't waste my money on it. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust (especially as a woman who doesn't know a whole lot about what goes on under the hood). Keller Bros is fantastic! Everyone there is friendly and they will give you an honest opinion. Of course they're going to recommend what they can to keep your car running its best (this is in response to the other review about up-selling), but if you ask questions about what is absolutely necessary, what can wait a bit but will eventually be necessary, and what's just ideal, they will tell it to you straight. (And, I've had to ask some times, because let's face it car repairs can get expensive.) They've also been great about handling the logistics of my extended warranty to ensure payment, etc. The only thing that sucks a little bit is that they are only open Mon-Fri, and then only until 6 PM or so. But, they do open at 7 AM and are willing to give you a ride to/from where you need to go. It's worth it to know I'm getting service I can trust, where it's not a revolving door of personnel (like a quick oil change place - where it seems there are usually teenagers working on my car!), and where they won't gouge me on price like the dealer sometimes can. They even know me by name there. Now, they did get to know me pretty well when I had an old car that had issues, but it's been 3 years since I bought my new car and I'm still greeted like a valued customer/part of the family. IMHO it doesn't get better than Keller Bros and it's the only place I'll take my car. read more

I don't ever think about my car unless something goes wrong. Car maintenance generally stirs up emotions of extreme anxiety for me. Keller Bros. takes the panic out of going to a car shop. I noticed my car was idling a bit funny while I was stopped at a traffic light last week. That led me to wonder when I had last had my car serviced? The dealership always assured me that I could go 10,000 miles between services. It's hard to keep track of that many miles but I had probably surpassed them since moving to Denver a few months ago. The thing that hit me when I walked in the door at Keller Bros. was how friendly and accommodating the entire staff was. Although I had no clue when my car had last been serviced, they assured me that they would do a full inspection of my car (something they do every time a car comes in, regardless of the reason) and that their #1 goal was to keep me safe on the road. They also explained to me that cars need to have the oil changed far more frequently then 10,000 miles, even if it seems to be running fine. I never felt pressured to buy anything extra because they did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. Fortunately, all I needed was an oil change this time. But I will return to Keller Bros. in the future for any of my car maintenance and repair needs. read more
