Unprofessional and Rude Manager at Antioch / Brentwood Carter's Location My wife and I have been a loyal customer of Carter's for years. My wife and I have spent thousands of dollars on baby clothes and even told all our friends and family that if they were going to buy clothes for our baby, to please ensure they were from Carter's. They just fit and he loves them. However, after a recent experience at the Brentwood, CA location, I will no longer be shopping there. We purchased an outfit set from the Tracy, CA store, only to find when we got home that one of the pieces was missing. My wife went to the Brentwood location to explain the situation and return the item. Everything was going smoothly until the store manager, Jenn, stepped in. Instead of handling the issue professionally, Jenn rudely interrupted the return process and flat-out refused to accept it, citing "company policy" because the item was missing a piece--something that wasn't our fault. My wife was honest and explained what had happened, but Jenn remained cold and dismissive, treating my wife with blatant disrespect in front of other customers. When I called Jenn to discuss the issue, she was extremely rude, interrupting me, and even lost her temper when I questioned the logic behind refusing a return over an $11 item. Jenn repeatedly hid behind "policy," and implied we were at fault. Do you think we would spend $350 on this specific ticket, only to come back and return an $11 item to sneakily keep a pair of shorts at home? Are you implying we stole Jenn? After going back and forth with Jenn for 10 minutes, she said "the best I can do is call the other store tomorrow and hopefully have you go there to solve the problem." I then told Jenn we were going to donate the item, and we are not interested in the return any longer The situation became about principle, not the money. Carter's needs to understand that customers like us, who spend thousands in their stores, should not be mistreated over something as trivial as a single missing piece of baby clothing. Jenn's behavior was appalling, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. We will not be shopping at this location again, and I strongly urge others to avoid this store if they care about being treated fairly and respectfully. read more

We just had our new baby boy last Wednesday , so Jill for sure made our shopping experience worth while. The store itself is very organized & clean. Yay, another baby or toddler clothing store in the area! Today was my first day in and boy was I glad I stopped in! Sales galore and they just opened up their doors last Thursday! 40 to 60% of certain items! Anything you need to start your newborns wardrobe is here! Girls items on the left, boys items on the right. No furniture or accessories. Just bibs, socks, onsies, gowns, and plenty of outfits. A few Melissa and Doug puzzle toys are offered on a side table. I picked up a few pajamas for the boy and a few shorts and shirt outfits. All for $7.99 or less! SCORE! I will be back many times, I love Carter's brand. Its quality made and with a gazillion washings the colors always seem to stay bright....or is that just my choice of a great laundry detergent?? BTW I use Tide hahaha! Anyway~ store itself was well lit and stocked. It was actually kinda busy when the boy and I were shopping. All displays looked great! I love seeing cool little outfits up on a child size mannequin, kinda creepy with no face in all but it really gives you a great idea of what its going to look like! FYI~ The isles are kinda tight if you have a full size stroller. Can't complain about the service Katie A. gave me today. I was greeted with a smile and she gave me info about the Carter's savings card. I signed up. They either need your mailing addy or your email addy. Earn one stamp for every $20 spent. After five stamps you'll receive $10 off any purchase of $10 or more on your next visit! Sounds great to me! She also gave me a 20% off your next visit coupon. Woo Hoo! Great store! I have spent way too much money in this store! :) I first discovered this store when my baby was about 2 months old. We regularly come shop about once a month. We always raid the clearance section. We were able to find her two adorable outfits for $10. Using my reward, it came up free. So awesome. Great selection, friendly staff, clean store, and convenient location. I have found better deals at this location than the Gilroy, Livermore, and Vacaville outlets. read more

Plenty of parking in a huge shopping center. Prices are reasonable and they have great sale items. The place is very organized and staff acknowledges you when you walk in. The quality of the clothing seems high. This is my first time here and I don't buy to many kids clothing but from what I remember this brand has always been number one in kids clothing. Even if you don't have kids and shopping for I gift I rather come here first kids clothing is very cute and you get the quality. Definitely recommend this store. read more

Really cute baby and kids clothes typically have a great experience but today was very disappointed. I'm 9 months pregnant almost due with my son I stood in line for a while holding my toddler and clothes to return for a while before finally getting help. I was gifted clothes I can't use because they won't be the appropriate season for my son when he comes plus I have to many newborn clothes. I wasn't given a gift receipt. All items have tags typically Walmart or target will allow you to return these items for a gift card. I was told I can return but I have to spend the money today. I'm not exactly sure what I'll need I've been fortunate to been given lots hand-me-downs so I simply wanted a gift card to spend for later when I knew what I'd need. I don't think this is a good policy or customer service especially since they sell kids clothing to turn away a pregnant women who's almost due because she doesn't have the time to shop right this minute. I like Carter's clothes but this doesn't make me want to shop here anymore. read more

CLEARLY it says they close at 7 on Sundays showed up 10 minutes before closing time & BOTH doors were already locked, the two girls on the shift just looked at me kept on talking & looked away. Other times I've showed up 7 maybe 6 minutes before closing and they still let me shop for my items. The staff is very nice and helpful here so I've had positive experiences in the store. However, do NOT even bother ordering online from them because they don't take customer service seriously. I complained about leggings that were see through and the company asked for a picture...how about just take my word for it, figure it out and deal with it? Don't give the customer homework and don't make me think I have to prove it to you. First, I spend money at your store for leggings that are transparent, and have the courtesy to tell you...and now you want me to go find the pants and take a picture -- basically, do your work for you? That's just lazy and incompetent. The company can use some help with how to offer better service and actually deliver on their promise to deliver items ordered in a timely manner. If you say "7-10 business days" and you can't deliver on it, then STOP saying it! Because you just lied to me. read more

Our 16 month old has only worn Carter's clothes her entire life. Kinda sad that now that she has moved out of the "baby" section and into the "toddler" section the selection has diminished. There are slim pickings in the 3T area. A girl can't live in PJ's her whole life. We need more selection. read more
