There are so few cartridge places in the area, unless you want to buy the name brand at high prices. This is a very congested area, so I like to get here early in the day so I can then get out quickly. I have been to this location, as well as the Las Vegas location...which I overheard Nancy say was now closed...on three separate occasions. It is very simple, and they have always had exactly what I needed without hesitation. This place is a bit quirky though. Not in a bad way, but it is unique in here with the various 'games' or 'goodies' handed out. Also with the owner's hand made signs around the place that try and show the humorous side of rude customers. More passive-aggressive, than professional. I have a Dell color laser printer that developed a problem so I searched for businesses that could help me get it fixed. Most of the people I contacted only worked for businesses, so that left me out. I got a call from Angel at Cartridge world and she offered to fix the problem or, if she couldn't, charge me nothing. There were actually 2 problems;, a paper jam error code and a problem where a bunch of toner came off the page it was printed on during the process. She was very up front, and nice to talk to, sounding like she wanted to help, so I took it in under the deal that if she could fix it, it would be $95, and if not, no charge. I presumed she was a technician. Well, she found the seemingly hidden paper jam and cleared it, then ran a bunch of copies. I was elated! When I went to pick it up, she should me some copies that had issues that progressively got better as she ran more. After she ran my card, she told me that the printer may need to be disassembled and cleaned. I commented that I thought that is what she was going to do and she said she couldn't. I was inclined to complain but didn't. She was the most expensive of the three quotes I received, and the farthest away from me, but she was so nice over the phone that I trusted her. It was a mistake. I'm sure that Cartridge World is a good place to get ink cartridges, but they ARE NOT PRINTER REPAIR people, and to indicate they are and only do a minimal job that DIDN'T fix the whole problem. Don't make the mistake I did. If your printer needs repair, don't take it here. You will pay the highest price for the poorest repair. I like Angel and she was a pleasant person to deal with, but I don't feel I got my money's worth because she didn't do anything to fix the problem except run some copies through, and now, I can't get a good color photo print. Overall, I'm very disappointed because I spent $ 95.00 and still have the initial problem I started with. I didn't take it back because she told me after I paid that she didn't have the capability to disassemble and clean the printer, which is what I think it needs. I feel that I was misled as to her abilities until after I handed her my credit card. read more

Yes it can get pricey sometimes if you are buying more then one cartridge, however, the prices here cannot be beat. Also, they give a military discount which is AWESOME, I love businesses that support the military and Veterans. In my book, they will always be at the top and will get my business over a place that does not appreciate what the military and veterans have done for this country. Searched for places that offer ink cartridge refill service and came here after 20 miles of driving. It was worth it. Angel and Nancy were super friendly. Angel checked out my cartridge and informed me that my black ink is still full. She checked for any clog and gave me some details about printers and ink cartridge which was really helpful. I ended up buying a new color ink, which was around $19. This is a major deal considering the specific ink cartridge I needed typically cost $25-30 elsewhere. This store is located on Eastern Ave just north of Silverado Ranch. It's inside the shopping center with BJ's and right by the Kabob place . Parking lot sucks. I went in after getting my fresh squeezed sugar cane juice at lee's in the same shopping center. I was needing some HP ink for an office jet printer and saw their sign and figured lets try em out. When I walked in I saw a lot of ink cartridges on the wall and felt good about getting what I needed. It's not self serve and the inks are behind the counter. Lady comes out and greeted me. I looked around and the had some printers copiers for sale too. Not new but looked like repaired units that didn't get picked up. It seems like just buying a new one these days is cheaper than a repair would be. So repair uhhhh no, I'm going new. Anyways I told her the model and they had it $17.99 original HP. So she goes over and also pulls out their house brand packaged refill. She really seemed to push that one and said $10.99. I'm like hmmm cuz I always go for original OEM ink because I have bunch of printers and had 1 bad experience. She sold me on their house one so I said I'll try it. So then asks me if I have the old one to "trade in" I said noooo. She says then there's a $2 core charge. I started laughing cuz at the moment that shit just sounded funny.. Really a core charge on a $11 item. I throw like 5 of these out in the trash. She assured me I could just bring in a core to get my $2 bucks back . I love the add on and she did a good job presenting it. The place was clean and they were convenient and had what I needed. All around good experience, but let's see how the house brand performs. Update...cartridge was terrible and only lasted a few days and maybe printed 30 pages. I replaced it with HP original and all is good. Searched high and low for a business that can refill my toner for my Brothers printer. I called Cartridge World for about a week straight to finally get someone on the line today. When calling I greeted whomever was on the other line. This is the script; Me: Hi, how are you? CW: "What do you need"? I should've known it was only going down hill from the lack of customer service during the start of the call. Me: I was wondering if your able to assist me with the refill of my toner? CW: Rudely "I usually have all the toners refill before hand, I have two customers in the store and I need to help them, I'm gonna call you back"! Now mind you this is my first time calling, I don't know the process or what her response to my question even meant. Due to the worker being so short with me and the lack of customer service or showing any effort of wanting to assist me. I immediately said, "no thank you, I will call another company. I then hung up in total confusion of what just took place being I too was a customer by way of phone. I've come to the conclusion customer service means absolutely nothing in the world we're in today. If she was unable to provide me with customer service, then she should have never answered the phone or even placed me on hold however; I will gladly keep searching for a business that don't mind giving great customer service in exchange for a loyal customer who's willing to pay the cost. Recently, after about a year hiatis , I returned to refill 3 HP cartridges (#97, 98 (2)) I was shocked when my total came up to 86 bucks! Extremely friendly ladies working here! I came in to get some ink refills and I was welcomed in and got a great deal on two cartilages. For being my first time I got a coupon off for next time and was given directions on what might happen when my printer reads the inks (didn't happen) but it's always good to be prepared. I was told to call the store if any issues came up and I felt I could instantly call the store to ask for help without feeling clumsy for missing any information. The customer service was outstanding. Angel is very knowledgeable about printers and ink/toner cartridges. Not just a clerk, but a true professional. They offer a lot of incentives, but I found the pricing to be very spendy. I could have purchased genuine HP cartridges for what I was charged for the after market units they sell here. And I would not have to deal with the annoying dialog box that pops up stating my cartridges are not genuine HP, everytime i print something. Having said that, they were convenient and if you need it now, they have them in stock. So, "A" for convenience and customer service. "D" for pricing, although some may find it a worthwhile compromise, I will likely plan better and source my cartridges in a more economical manner. read more

I have been getting refills for my Canon MG5220 printer from Nancy here at Cartridge World for about a year. I could get replacements for these cartridges at Walmart for $17.00, but I would rather get them from Cartridge World at $10.99 per refill. I save on average about $18 every time I stop by. The cumulative amount I have saved over time must be something in the $100's. I have looked around for other establishments that would provide a similarly priced refill, but to no avail! I have NEVER had any problems with cartridge leakage such as the previous post mentioned. From my experience, these refills last a long time, and the quality is the same as if I had purchased a new cartridge. Also, Nancy is awesome, and she lets you spin the wheel for a gimmicky little prize, which is strangely exhilarating (yes, I am a grown woman). Love this place! read more
