I went to get alot of text messages printed. I had asked the young man working there Josua if he could put multiple text messages on one sheet and change the print size so more can fit. He said he could but it will be boring so he didn't want to do it. So the store was not busy. He had no one waiting, I could have given him time to do it but he refused. I'm hoping that someone in charge of something sees this and fixes how absolutely horrible the people that work here are. No one knows what they're doing. They are rude and literally work as slow as they can. You have to go to them because they won't walk to you if you have a question. Please, whoever is in charge of this location. Start giving customer service tutorials. Or at least lead by example with your customer service in anyway shape or form. This is the most frustrating experience for a stupid office store. One of my favorite office supply store in town! Yes, chain stores have their issues and mostly understaffed, but this one has a great combination of good folks, and good rewards program. I love this location. I primarily come here for printing and lamination needs. everyone at the printing area has always been super helpful and nice to me. Today I went back as I accidentally told the girl to print the wrong page and the manager reprinted it for me! I drive out of my way just because I know if I ever need help they'll help me. either the manager, the girls or the male who I sometimes see. They are all good. I drop off ten used toner cartridges a month for recycling in order to cash in on the rewards (minimum $10 purchase for the previous month). It's a good ongoing promotion that is well worth the effort. I cashed in on a reward of $20.00 recently. I opted for the K-cups which happened to be at a special price. I went there so I didn't really notice other items except the name brand backpacks in the middle of the aisle. This was during summer and so that was for Back To School. As for the aisle, items are fairly easy to find. There were a few other customers but I think support for these stores is dwindling overall. Most of these chain stores are the same, white walls and floors inside and very very bright. Checkout was fast. We received great service from this location today. The young gentleman at the register helped us carry a heavy desk to the car and was very pleasant throughout our interaction. There was a $10 off coupon attached to our online pickup receipt which was expired. He mentioned they would still honor it, so I went back in to purchase a box of paper. The young lady who rang us up realized: 1) The coupon stipulates $10 off of $30 is for regular priced items, but the box I had in my cart was on sale (so we thought) 2) Come to find out, the box of paper wasn't on sale and the sign was misplaced 3) Without hesitation, the young lady asked the manager to honor the wrong price AND include the coupon, which the manager approved right away At the end of the day, I would have been completely okay with picking up something at regular price to be within the guidelines of the coupon, but they went out of their way to make a customer happy without thinking twice. This location isn't closest to our place, but we'll be shopping at that store in the future. Last thing to note. Based off my purchase of paper, the lady knew I was printing massive amounts. She mentioned about the toner recycle program that I had no idea about. I'll be taking advantage of that program. What a great way to keep customers coming back! read more

I went to this location recently for a binder and page dividers. The place is well lit, organized and clean. I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance. There is a very good selection of binders of varying prices and I found one I liked very much; and it had color coordinated dividers available! There is plenty of parking nearby as it is located in the Boca Park shopping center (near Target). They also offer business related services such as printing. Very dismissive and unprofessional staff. There were three staff in the front doing absolutely nothing, I came in for resume prints and had about 20 minutes to spare to get to my job interview around the corner. There were no other customers waiting or even in the store. The lady at the Print counter asked me why not just use self service, and I let her know it's because I want to use resume paper. She tells me to then sign in and proceeds to make me wait for at least 12 minutes, while the associates do NOTHING. They could sense my irritability because I am now going to be late to my interview. She then proceeds to help me as slow as possible, and then ask for my address and personal info so that she could create the invoice? I asked you to print a few pieces of paper, I am in a rush. I told you 3 times. I was not entertaining this. I proceed to ask her around how much will this cost, she then tells me the exact price. So you're sitting here wasting my time? Gonna give this place 4 stars based on customer service. I bought a laptop on the day before Black Friday from Officemax.com, and I ended up finding a better deal from Amazon ON BF. When I got the laptop, I tried to sell it on Craigslist to make a few bucks, but failed, so I just returned it to OfficeMax. Now their web site says 30 days return, but apparently in store it's 14 days. They argued with me that they couldn't take it back except for store credit, which was a no go for me. I had them talk to the store manager, and somehow they made it all work in the end. Barring any problems with the credit not hitting my credit card next week, I am pleased with how they handled it, even though I did have to lean on them a bit to make it work. read more

There's a difference between service and selling. I rarely come here, but when I do it's always to print something. So, every time I come here it's either good service or good selling.... It's never both. I'm talking about how some of the workers here really know their stuff and sometimes they don't. But my purpose here isn't to degrade this spot, cus in the end of it all the job gets done. My last time I came here, I was making a special gift for my 2 year anniversary with my BF. And I needed to print out large prints of pics. The coolest thing was that they were able to make it the exact size I wanted. Plus the guy totally took his time with me (good service) and was very knowledgeable about his stuff. He even helped me save money by putting all my smaller prints on one whole sheet (good selling). So, I guess I got both service and selling that night. And plus they have HUGE paper cutter in-case you want to cut poster sized things. Also, there are plenty of copy machines lined up for your own use. Instead of having to wait for someone to do it for you. Plus they offer a selection of free colored paper to use if you need to. Later, while I was finishing my order, I could hear her on the phone with another customer, and she was just as nice and helpful. She was truly above and beyond. Location usually wins when you have a need for office supplies or quick print jobs, so this is the geographical winner for me! There used to be a copy associate who was a pro. She would always give me a hard time about some of my last minute design hack jobs I was getting printed, and I would just blame my imaginary local design staff. She knew her stuff and was always quick, but she is not around any longer. Now, copies take longer and the staff isn't as pro, but they still get the job done. And, I appreciate that the process for getting things printed is informal. You just walk up, hand them a thumb drive and direct them to what you need and how many copies. You don't have to fill out a form in triplicate. There are several self-serve copy machines. Plus, they always seem to have random supplies I am looking for like butcher paper. read more

I came here to get 15 pages printed. The associate at the counter took my flash drive, but came right back with it and told me he'd do it in a second because one of the other employees was using the printer. That was fine until that "second" turned into 27 minutes (yes, I counted). For the first 15 minutes or so, I just looked at some nearby electronics in case he were to call me up. After that, I couldn't help but just stand right there at the counter waiting and giving him obviously annoyed glances. A man came up next to me that wanted some copies and the associate told him he'd have to wait, but the man explained they were just copies, so he apologized and made his copies right away. That actually irritated me even more because I NEVER got a single apology, not once. FINALLY, after 22 minutes the printer was free. Instead of informing me politely, the associate just went in front of me and stuck out his hand so I could give him my flash drive. I figured I'd be out of there in a couple minutes after that, but I was wrong. He ended up printing my papers ONE BY ONE, all 15 of them. That's where that extra 5 minutes came from. When I asked him why he couldn't do it all at once, he said they had a "weird system." Even after checkout, he still didn't apologize for the wait or the inconvenience. To top it all off, it wasn't until the next day when I was going through my prints that I realized he double printed two of the pages and completely left out three of the pages I needed printed. First it's back to school season- you would think they would have enough employees, or at least more than one on the register. I stand as the first person in line for a good 8 min while this guy answers phones and avoids eye contact with me. Then he gets off and says "are any of you ready". Not, sorry for the wait or thanks for being patient. I go up, I see an order adding up to $99 on the screen and he asks me if I want a printed or emailed receipt, I say printed and say that's not my receipt on the screen. He replies that's not a receipt, I turn it to show him an order on the screen and he again tells me it's not a receipt..."you just need to answer the question" and he presses print. Then he goes "oh" while a new order shows up for $25 and he's says "$25", I again say that's not my order. Please note I had one folder and a pack of pencils- anyone paying attention could guess it wouldn't come out to $25. My two items finally get rung up (another clue they weren't my order as he hadn't even rung them) and I finally pay... he answers the phone while I'm standing there and slowly hands me my receipt and bag. If you are looking for something specific and trying to find somebody to help you find it good luck, it's kind of difficult to find a worker because they seem to hide in the front. This time we were going to look for a nook case and I went straight to the Nook Tablet area. I didn't locate any cases so I decided to try to find a worker to no avail. I then started exploring the store, and ended up finding the cases in the next aisle. They were expensive and had been opened already I took a few minutes to find a worker. I finally found one and asked her if she had any more cases. She didn't even know that they had cases there so I showed her where they were and she laughed and said "Oh I didn't know we had them." I've come here several times for a variety of different print/copy services and every time Jennifer has been outstanding! Super nice, very helpful and most importantly...FAST! You can send your print job via email, call her up and then you only need to make one trip in to pick up. I've printed a quick "emergency" need it fast banner - wow, great price, good quality! My sister's wedding invitations - she printed them and cut down to the size I wanted. They looked awesome! I will certainly be back for more print services. I only come to this location because there's not another office supply store very close to this area. They're very highly priced and you always have to wait in line even when you're just buying a couple of pens. The last time I came here I bought an office chair and I spent $150 on it. After I got it back to the house it was missing a few screws. So I brought it back and they refused to give me my money back. The woman was fairly rude. I just called Office Max at this Charleston location to find out if they refill ink cartridges (espec. my HP #61). The man who answered told me that ALL print makers have issued a warning that NONE of them will any longer allow used cartridges & that I should have already received that notice from H.P. I inquired "You mean H.P. & all other brands will reject a refilled cartridge?" And he said yes. I then called Tech Mail and was told it is absolutely false & they've never heard of such a thing.
