ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TRUST CARVANA, I purchased a vehicle from them on December 9th - it is now February 16th and the vehicle has been in my posession for a total of 12 days - the rest of the time is has been in a repair facility. The first week that I bought it, turns out the breaks were failing, the rotors were warped, two tires were BALD, then since then the car has had severe electrical issues and engine problems - the USB plug has gone out, the 12V charger has gone out, the trunk does not close, the brakes squeak, and now the warranty is set to expire March 20th and I have to bring the car back to the shop tomorrow morning because the repair facility is under the impression that there is more a more severe unidentified electrical problem wrong with the vehicle. Anytime I call Carvana to try to speak to someone it is impossible to speak to someone who isn't a sales person. I have been paying for three months payment on a car I have not even been able to use. Turns out that "150 point inspection" or whatever bullshit they advertise on their website is a complete scam - their thresholds for acceptable condition were actually below street legal on the tires and not to mention my brakes actually fucking failed on the highway the first week after purchasing. The car buying experience online is simple. That was the easiest car buying experience ever. The car is great. My only issues are as follows. They were 1 1/2 hours late for delivery. No car mats. Are you freaking kidding me. No dang car mats. I love the car but put a good down payment down and have to pay extra for something that should be in the car in the first place. I will trade it in next year at a car dealership and spend a few hours buying a car that way I know I will get what I should. I was told by the delivery driver when my 7 day test drive period was over I would recieve the mats in the mail. Still waiting Carvana. I will use another dealer on my purchase next year. read more

Carvana...we're nice at first but we genuinely don't give a F#€¥. I was hoping this would be a good experience. It seemed like a great deal but the first issue was that the car had a sizeable scratch with an attempt to hide it with the wrong touch up paint not disclosed in the pictures. They said Silver Rock, their third party repair vendor, would take care of it. Second, my mechanic found a few minor but not inexpensive issues such as a torn plate on the undercarriage, dry rot in the tires (camouflaged with lots of armor all) and a battery with less than 30% life left...all things supposedly inspected in Carvana's 150 point inspection. Again, the answer was talk to Silver Rock. After being on hold with this company for 45 minutes, I talked to a rude, unhelpful guy who couldn't tell me if my mechanic or the dealer could fix it or how anything would work except I should expect to wait on hold. No one could answer me the very basic question: if Silver Rock takes forever and doesn't fix the issues to my satisfaction can I still return the car? Carvana just didn't give a Sh!t, was not willing to help fix any of these things other than to refer me back to Silver Rock and would obviously rather not sell a car. Customer service at its absolute worst. We'll see if they give me my money back as advertised in their no hassle 7 day return policy. read more

This review is for the over all Carvana company: Dealing with this company has been the most frustrating BS car purchasing experience in my life. It's as if this company found every shitty sleazy inept out of work user car sales person and hired them. They clam to be a quick and painless car buying experience, yet the truth couldn't be further from the truth. I first put a $100 "reserve" on a car that was suppose to be ready in 12 days... a month later and nobody at Carvana could/wouldn't tell me where the car was in their "process" or give me the slightest idea of when it would be ready. Their "customer service" is purposefully vague in the information they give. These guys claim to be able to deliver you a car in 24hrs... Yet if you call them and dig deeper into their purchase life cycle it's more like a week under their best case scenario. Honestly, unless you're homebound (and why would buy a car if you were) going to a dealership is far less painful than this confused and stupid process Carvana has created. read more

Carvana is trash. I will never, nor do I recommend anyone, buy from them again. Absolutely no effort from them to make it right. I don't care that this is a "learning experience" for your call center or inspection team. You missed this major detail, what others would you have overlooked? The tie rods that attach to the rear passenger side wheel were MISSING. Mechanic said the wheel was ready to fall off. My kids have been in this car, what would have happened then? To be fair, I asked for a trade between a car that was $900 more and $1100 more, but apparently they aren't willing to do that to keep the other $30k. read more

This was a great experience for us. They delivered as promised (literally ha). The initial delivery date was a week later because they said there was some damage that they wanted to make sure was fixed. Fine with me considering I did my research, got my own financing, and looked at other people experiences. Really, when you shop online for anything, you always want to do the proper research and check in on the process. The Customer Advocates were all amazing. I made sure to keep good communication with them and not one of them was negative about how often I asked questions or checked in with them. One of them had taken note that we were adopting and when the delivered the car, gave us a Carvana baby onesie. Our daughter to come is turning 9 years old but that didn't matter. The fact that they caught that in one of our conversations was awesome. Thats customer service. I work for a company that has been known for top customer service wordwide and I have high expectations and Carvana exceeded our expectations. With in our 7 days, we found the charger that came with the car was quite used. So we had a local Chevrolet dealership check it and they advised for a new one. So I contacted Carvana and they advised to me I could purchase a new one from the dealership or have them contact the warranty company and they would cover the cost. The dealership required I purchased it first so I did and with in a week, I had a check for the reimbursement. Just like any car you purchase used, I always get an inspection of the vehicle by a mechanic. They told me the car was in amazing shape. A person who wants a good used car should do the research on the VIN, check the free CarFax they provide and utilize the Customer Advocates at Carvana as that is why they are there. You have 7 days to completely decide you don't want the car. We will definitely buy our next car here again. We went through our own financing because our Credit Union had a direct connection to Cavana. This really was one of the best experiences buying a car. Dealerships locally need to pay their sales people so it definitely saved us money. We got a 3 year old Plug-In Hybrid with 23k miles in great shape. Thanks Carvana. Really. I would recommend this to anyone. Just do your normal research about a vehicle. If your not doing this with your local dealer, your going to get a car with issues regardless. Just had an awesome experience selling my late model, low mileage car through the Carvana process. It was so easy and quick, my whole family can't believe my car is gone! Beginning from the well designed, user-friendly website, it was easy to input my car and personal info, get an offer price for the car and set up a date for the Carvana staff to come and review the car. Brigeda contacted me on the day I selected, arrived on time and was properly masked and gloved so this whole transaction was safe. Brigeda was very knowledgeable and efficient, she was able to answer all my questions before she took the car for a test drive. When she came back, she gave me a thumbs up so I brought down the title and the 2nd key fob to finish the transaction. I had my husband remove the license plates as I reviewed the paperwork. Everything was pre-prepared and I was able to get the few pieces of paperwork signed before Bridgeda handed me the check for the agreed offer amount before she drove off in my car. I wanted to experience the new way of buying a car, and I have to say that it was stressful for me. Carvana gave me good money for my trade-in but other than that you have to do all the work. The communication with Carvana is difficult, specially if you are not familiar with this type of transaction. In the lack of communication Carvana included the amount of the Extended Care price in my contract, which I specifically selected to pay out of pocket. This of course increased the price of my loan amount. Also my car was damaged during transportation. There was a deep scratch in the bumper that now I have to deal with. Selling a car is easy, but trading is not. II don't think I would ever do this again. It's not as easy as it says in the TV commercial. read more

I was referred to Carvana from a coworker who had purchased her new-used car from them and was thrilled. And I'm glad she did! My actual new car I had was totaled on I35 one morning (welcome to Austin!). I have compared buying my 2014 VW Tiguan, to being as easy as ordering a pizza online. So I am exaggerating just a tad, but this was by far the easiest it's ever been for me to buy a car. I found the vehicle I wanted online. My credit union (RBFCU) partners with Carvana. So I filled out my Carvana application and filled out the credit application at the credit union. Once they were both approved, I needed to make 1 phone call and upload my CU documents to the Carvana site. And it was all done! I had scheduled for my car to be delivered to my house on a Saturday. This just happened to have been the day hurricane Harvey hit. I figured my delivery would be pushed back to the following week, no big deal. I received a call on Friday morning. I was told my car was ready and asked if I wanted to come pick up Friday instead of waiting. I explained to the gentleman who called that my car was totaled and I was working downtown so I had no way of getting to their location. He offered to send an Uber at their cost to come get me so I could pick up my car. Talk about service! The Uber picked me up after work and I was able to sign and drive my car. In the state of Texas, all used car sales are as is, unless there is a warranty in the purchase agreement. That being said, Carvana is VERY clear on their 7 day/100 mile return policy. And it's very good considering it is a no questions asked return policy. It's common sense you take a used car to a mechanic anyway. The fact that people waited weeks before doing so, found an issue, and were then mad that they couldn't help them doesn't warrant a bad review (which is what all the bad reviews are). I was so excited to pick up my car (2nd driver) from Carvana and experience the whole thing. I arrived at the dealership, got the Mini Cooper I had ordered and it was seamless. I drove around for a few hours and stopped for some errands. When I got back in the car I used the alternate key fob given and it rendered my car un-startable. I called and had to get it towed to the dealership to have it looked at....4 hours after picking it up. I then had to called Silverrock (their company that deals with repair claims) and ask them how to obtain a rental car and they verified they reimburse after the fact for $40/day and any other costs like Lyft or Uber costs. My car was at Mini Cooper and they contacted Silverrock to start the process of getting this key fob issue fixed. As the dealership looked and did full diagnostics, not only was the key fob an aftermarket fob that did a full reset of the starting system, but they also found about $5000 worth of mechanical issues wrong with the car and advised me that there was NO WAY the "150 point maintenance check" that Carvana claims to do would not have seen these things. So...... they sold me a car knowing it had mechanical issues, which is so disheartening. I then submitted my reimbursement claim for the car rental and Lyft rides I had to pay for ($175) and checked status today only to find out that "they don't have any record of a claim" and I don't get my money back. I returned the car within the 7 day window, got my deposit back, and have walked about disgusted and disheartened by the entire thing. The sale process was awesome, no doubt. But, Carvana does boast about the 150 point inspection that they conduct prior to selling a vehicle. So, a person should be able to trust what has been certified. The limited warranty expired within the first 6 weeks of ownership because I had to drive over 4000 miles for 4 funerals. Upon return, I took the car for an oil change. Low and behold, both motor mounts and the transmission mount, as well as the brake pads and rotors had to be replaced to the tune of 2,300.00. Now, I would understand these issues happening after owning the car for a few years, but 2 months? Obviously, the damage was visible when the 150 point inspection was performed. Carvana will not stand behind their 150 point inspection. As far as Carvana is concerned, I can go jump in a lake. I was also supposed to get a second key upon delivery of the vehicle, having signed an acknowledgement upon delivery that the key would be mailed. I still do not have the key. Long story short, I loved the sale process, however, customer service and customer satisfaction after the fact, leave much to be desired. Was told my vehicle would be delivered in a week or so after completing all documentation online. A month later and 7 re-schedules no vehicle. I decided to go with CarMax. Easiest car buying experience ever! I had a baby a few months back so I was dreading car shopping with her (and dealing with dealerships in general!) until I came across Carvana. We picked out our car and had financing set up already through my credit union. The hardest part was coordinating a call between Carvana and UFCU to verify financing. They delivered our car a few days later with a full tank of gas and after signing the paperwork (just a few pages) we were set. Nope. This was a terrible experience. Once I found the car I wanted I was told it would be a certain price. That price was different than the one calculated on the website but no big deal. But then I was told the car would be $110 more than what I signed for. The price was in an email and on a Carvana generated pdf. When I asked them to honor the lower price they said (with sugary sweetness) that I could take the car or leave it. End of story. Their customer service left a really bad impression on me, especially since they're so polite about being dismissive. But I went ahead with the purchase, which was a mistake. However, the bigger issue came when I had my new car inspected by my mechanic. Head gasket leaking onto the exhaust and rust everywhere from being an east coast car. Rust is expected for that but after the inspection Carvana claims to do you would think they'd catch such a smelly, not to mention expensive, problem. So word to the wise, do not trade your car in with them in case you need to return the one you purchased. And definitely have the car inspected by a mechanic you trust within the 7 day money back guarantee window. At least they have that policy. They can have a star for that one. read more

I feared that they would make an online offer and then change it drastically when they had me "on the hook"....nothing could be further from the truth. I brought my car in and within 30 minutes they had inspected it, driven it, and I had my check in hand....for the total amount they had quoted me online. What a terrible experience with Carvana. We purchased a car and were set for it to be delivered on Thursday morning when Wednesday night they sent a text the deal wasn't going to happen due to a mechanical issue that was just discovered. How would that be when they had already guaranteed us they the car had been through a thorough inspection. To make matters worse, we had already sold my car so now we're stuck with no way to get around. The customer service was horrible and they could of cared less about the situation. **Update** Unfortunately I am taking time to update my review as a continuation of my Carvana car buying experience (you can read my original review below). After that was posted Carvana was very responsive. A representative reached out to me eager to make things right so, I decided to move ahead and offer them the opportunity to rectify the situation. The Carvana representative reached out appropriately, stayed in contact with me, refunded money and coordinated the plans for the car to finally be delivered. Unfortunately due to timing and a trip out of town I needed to cut the trip short in order to accommodate the new car delivery. So, I agreed to the time and day that Carvana would be able to deliver the car, flew home from my trip and arrived home the afternoon of the delivery. My promised delivery time was 7PM CST. At 6:45 PM a Carvana Rep called me to tell me that he had just discovered a screw in the tire and said he would not be delivering the car. Again. I asked that he contact a manager for some answers, he agreed and did not call back. This is another item in a long list of troublesome issues with Carvana. They had a full week to have the car ready and still couldn't manage it. If you decide to buy from Carvana - Make sure you are in it for the long haul. Utterly disappointed. _________________________________________________________________ My Carvana buying experience has been in a word, frustrating. I was initially very excited by the process - They make it fairly simple to check out the cars you are interested in, choose one and set the wheels in motion toward making your purchase. When I went to pick up my car the agent helping me let me know that there was some damage on the car that had not been reported in the way of "chemical stains" on the windshield. But, in the same breath assured me that their maintenance department would reach out within a day or so to set up a time to either fix or replace the windshield. Two weeks later i've never heard from anyone about this and have followed up now a half dozen times. Clearly unacceptable. The second issue I discovered upon entering the car for the first time is that there was a strong smoke smell. I asked the Carvana Agent about that and she said "oh, do you smell smoke? I only smell leather cleaner." Yes, I sure do, it wasn't a faint smell, the car smelled like an old bar. So she reminded me that I can take the car for 7 days to try and invited me to take it to the detailer of my choice to have it cleaned and offered to reimburse me for that. I was able to have it detailed that day to no avail, the smell remained. Later that day I went back onto the website to start looking for the most similar car I could find in order to initiate the swap. I found one that I liked and set up delivery of the car as soon as possible. A cool perk here is that I would not have to go back to the dealership to pick it up, a Carvana Agent would deliver the car to my house, cool. Well, when it arrived it was the wrong color. But, that did give me an opportunity to have face time with an Agent. He was apologetic about the mishaps, was able to smell the car and was shocked by how bad it was, it game a chance to revisit the windshield issue and get help with finding ANOTHER car. He also took photos of all of the receipts for money spent on trying to clean the car up and get rid of the odor. When he left he assured me that I would hear from him later that day on having an ionizer treatment done to remove the smell, to have the windshield repaired and to be reimbursed for my expenses. I felt great after that visit, until I never heard from him again. Although I did hear from an ionizer and he came to clean the car which took a couple of hours. It smells better but not good. Either way where they heck did my Agent go!!!!! Fast forward three more days, I order ANOTHER CAR which is set to be delivered this coming Monday. But, never saw any emails or confirmations for it - I popped onto the website to make sure things were ok and realized they had made a mistake and were sending me THE WRONG CAR. This is where I am in the process currently. I still have the original car. No one including the Agent that visited my house has ever followed up with me - I have had to do the following up each and every step along the way. When I explained over Carvana chat all of the issues that had occurred the response was basically, "oh bummer, but, totally hope things get better soon." That is unprofessional and after the amount of curveballs thrown here I would certainly expect a more thorough response than that. Where is the Carvana Management Team? Buying a car, no matter how easy, is a big deal. It's a big purchase and one that should not be strung with question marks. "Snake Oil Salesmen" that is who they are! If I could give Carvana less than 1 Star I would! I bought my 2013 XC60 Volvo through Carvana online. I paid cash. It came with a 30-day limited and mileage warranty whichever came first. I had 7 days to return the auto and get my money back if I decided I did not like the car. The 30-day limited warranty was for covered defective parts I found within 30 days. Well the windshield leaked but I did not find out until I drove through the car a couple of times and water came inside the car! I filed a claim within the warranty period but Carvana refused to replace the windshield. They say that I should have filed within the 7 day return policy. I took the car to Volvo Cars of Austin within the 7 day return period, not even they found that the windshield leaked So, be forewarned. Do not do business with Carvana! They are not a reputable company in my opinion. read more

What a awful scenario. I received an appraisal one day ago and regenerated an appraisal before dropping off the car and they refused to honor the new amount. I spent over an hour taking to various representatives and despite a difference of only $300, they were unwilling and unable to fix the situation even though they agreed that the revised price was accurate. They wanted me to take the car and come back the next day in order to get the $300. Overall, I despised this transaction and would be extremely hesitant to deal with Carvana in the future. I would look into Vroom or CarMax for a better service. For a company that prides themselves on technology, they couldn't figure out how to fix a $300 discrepancy. So poor! read more

Let me start by saying I work for a disrupter company similar to Carvana. We utilize tech and data to help smooth out one of the largest investments of your life and we pride ourselves on putting the CUSTOMER FIRST. I'm very familiar with how things are changing. That's the key to a successful business and experience for the customer. With Carvana the entire process was a nightmare. It took 3 days and multiple different reps and calls in me for their "team" to get the money wired in from me because their "team" was never on the same page. Not to mention same office or state. Horrible communication throughout the setup process. It gets better...I FINALLY had them confirm pickup the evening before I was supposed to get my vehicle and that was only because I begged them to confirm something instead of handing me off AGAIN. So the next day I go to pick up the car and notice more than one cosmetic issue on the car that needs repaired. They wrote it down and said some third party company would contact me to fix. Still haven't heard from them. It gets better...I told them before my 7 day trial period that I wanted to return the vehicle or trade in for something newer which they said they would reach out and tell me the next steps...hours went by and no such thing happened. Around that time I ended up getting hit on the bumper of the vehicle, other persons fault and have insurance and photos to prove it, but Carvana didn't care. And still don't. I was on the phone all day yesterday trying to get a hold of someone who could actually talk to me like a person and not from a script, no luck. I was told multiple times I needed to "wait" and that I was "in the cue to get a call" and that the higher ups would tell me the same thing the reps did so it didn't matter anyways. I believe Carly was one rep and Kevin was one manager but don't expect to talk to the same person ever. They toss you around and ignore you until it's too late. I never thought I would say this but I would GLADLY do this the old fashioned way before ever considering Carvana for myself or even my worst enemies. You guys truly ruined what should be a pleasant experience. I've been waiting for years to get a new vehicle and I finally bite the bullet and now I'll have regrets for the next 5 years while I pay this off and it reminds me of how Carvana didn't give a dang about their customer at all. Oh yeah, I'm still waiting on that call from a "manager" although I'm not sure what they manage outside of your reps talk tracks and hiding from issues that arise. Complete garbage. Do NOT do business with these crooks. At least the old fashioned way you have some recourse and control of the situation but not with Carvana. read more

My 2019 review was deleted and I don't know why. I was going to show it to my son for educational purposes. I saved a copy and here it is. I wanted to sell my truck so I got a bunch of quotes by giving out my vin number and, if asked, giving photos and the mileage.  So the quotes I got were $13,000 from the dealership, $8000 from Vroom, $12,500 from Car Max, and $16,400 from Carvana.  All of these without having to drive the truck anywhere for an appraisal.  The offer from Carvana was in the middle of the Kelly Blue Book price  range for the trade in value of the truck in good condition, which it was.  (KBB had me list mileage, condition, level of trim, etc.)  I accepted Carvana's offer and decided to go with instant cash to my debit card (bank account).  The Carvana guy showed up, drove the truck around the block, and had me sign a very simple contract. I read the contract - no language that made me nervous.  I signed over the title and gave him the keys and signed a transfer of title doc. (I had removed the license plates, toll tag but left the registration sticker.)  The Carvana guy hit "send" on his tablet after I signed everything.  In about 1 minute I checked my bank account and the money was there and available.  I used it the next day to buy a car.  The only downside is that sales tax was higher when I bought the new car.  If I'd had a trade in, the tax would've been lower by $900 or so.  It was a good experience using Carvana and I'd do it again.  I especially liked not having to deal with a trade in situation at the dealership where they start lowballing you and playing games.  I hate spending hours haggling over a trade in.  I notified the TX DMV online that the truck was sold and is no longer in my name. I bought two cars from Carvana so far, and I would say the experience of buying the car from them is the simplest and fastest. I have bought more than two handful of cars from various dealerships and the fastest process still take at lease 3+ hours or more at the dealership after you identify the exact vehicle you are purchasing. My first car from Carvana I pick it up at their vending machine and I was in an out of there in less than an hour with most of my time spent test driving and looking at the car. The buying process from Carvana is almost as simple as buying things from Amazon, just place the online and pick it up in store or have it deliever with the exact schedule you want . Trade in was straight forward and offer was higher than Carmax for me right on the computer. No haggling, no dishonest sales man and hours of going back and forth with dealers. Very simple paperwork process. For my second one I have it delivered to my home the car arrived exactly on schedule. When you are buying a used car, you always have to do your own diligence regardless of who you buy it from including Carvana. Having the car for one week to test drive can't be beat and give enough time to have it check out by a mechanic. 100 day warranty help with any major problem. I do have some issues with my second vehicle but it was still under manufacturer warranty. I will definitely buy more car from Carvana and recommend any one who hate to deal with the car salesman. read more

If you're willing to wait a while for the car of your choice, and willing to return a less-than-perfect vehicle because it was advertised incorrectly, I would highly recommend Carvana. The car we purchased was advertised as a Prius Prime Limited, but the car we received was a Prius Prime XLE (one trim level down). I went back to the ad to verify that in fact it was advertised as a Limited and it was, but you could zoom in on the photo of the car and see that it was in fact an XLE. Look very carefully! The customer service agent said this does happen on occasion. Carvana offered us a $500 discount as a less-than-satisfactory compensation for the $4000 dollar price difference between a Limited and XLE. I assume they are less willing to compensate for these kinds of errors because you can get a full refund for up to 7 days after receiving your vehicle if you're truly upset. I contemplated it...just fell in love with the vehicle anyway. Aside from that, I was pleased with the experience. When we first began the purchasing process, however, it said our car could be delivered in two days which ended up changing to two weeks. Not sure why that was, but we were in a position to be able to wait. Also be aware that if you secure a 3rd party loan that has an expiration date, the delivery date PLUS the 7-day money back guarantee period has to be factored in. Our loan offer expired a few days before Carvana was ready to fully process everything (at the end of the 7-day money back guarantee), so I had to follow up on that once discovered. Didn't end up being a problem, but it could! All in all, this car-buying experience still beat the process and the run-around you get at a car dealer, and there are no hidden dealer fees. I would purchase from Carvana again and would recommend them to others with a word of caution. What you see is what you get (so look carefully at the images). Currently going through new jersey entities to figure out exactly where my car came from after finding extreme corrosion and rust under the hood and SILT under my air filter and spare tire. Pretty sure hurricane sandy left a piece of itself in this car from new jersey, and a broken ac to boot - perfect for a long Texas summer. Should be a real joy to take to small claims court. I was VERY skeptical of the whole thing! Even driving to the vending machine to pick my car up I didn't really think I would be leaving without an issue coming up! It was wonderful y'all! From the online application to the customer service on the phone all the way to the gentleman at the vending machine! It was by far the best car buying experience! I had my children with me plus my nieces he gave them all a coin of their own to keep and a coloring book while we waited. The car exceeded my expectations! I will never go anywhere else! read more

Extremely unhappy with CARVANA. Bought 1 car in October 2017 and was very pleased - the minimal wear/tear damage was just as described online and no other issues found with that car so far. Loved the car/experience so much that here we go to buy a second car from them expecting a similar experience. NOT! Online the car was listed as having just a couple chips/road rash but NOTHING major. I could tell leather was a bit worn as expected for a 4 year old car, but NOTHING close to what it really is (you can't see it on the pictures/video they posted). The rep that dropped off the car took a couple pics of all the EXTRA/not disclosed damage that I noticed, and reassured me that their repairs department would do their best to fix the situation. Well I finally got contacted by e-mail 4 days later, and they are offering me $350! Are you kidding me CARVANA???? Leather seats are almost torn in a couple spots (animal claw scratches on the leather). Roof fabric coming off in 1 spot by the back seat/trunk cargo area. BIG scratches in trunk area EVERYWHERE in the plastic, the sides, and also the paint on the bumper obviously scratched by claws. Easy to tell that a BIG pet was in that car for years. I love the car besides the interior cosmetic issues, rides well handles, well...and I was hoping CARVANA would do the RIGHT THING and repair everything or pay a just value for the damage (all of which was NOT disclosed on your website). $350?? Is this a JOKE??? Guess the car is going back before my 7 days is up and I will be warning everyone I can reach to stay away from your company (as opposed to all the praise I had given you just a few months ago to all friends, family and neighbors). I would recommend you use a different car buying service all together. You are really paying for the convenience and it is not even that convenient- you never get anyone on the phone and you have to live chat any questions. Also- beware of their "inspection" and warranty. They sold me a car that passed the" inspection" and two of the tires blew out on the road within 3 weeks of having the car. I took it to Pep boys and they said all the tires needed to be replaced and were all at risk of blowing out- what if this happened on the road . So it cost me 500.00 to get tires replaced on a car I just bought. Also the car was filthy when it was dropped off. No detailing done whatsoever. Steer clear of this company and go with a better option with a more established reputation. It looks like the inspection is problematic with a lot of people from the reviews here so over all this company is highly untrustworthy. read more

I got to spend as much time as I wanted shopping online for the right car for the right price. I found a deal and did not have to haggle or get surprised by hidden fees. I financed through Carvana too. The easy online tools showed me how a down payment could change my monthly payment or lower my interest rate. I selected the financing terms that worked best for me and there were no surprises when I completed the purchase process. When we showed up to pick up the car the Carvana associate was friendly and informative. Our kids loved the vending machine and I had a great time too. We found a car at Carvana and it was simple to borrow. I found everyone nice to work with and helpful. It isn't easy to get the local number to the store in Austin, though. We decided to pay cash for the car and went to pick up the car instead of having it delivered. It's a fun concept; my son got the coin and dropped it into the machine and out came our car. Well, we had an mechanic look at the car and decided against finalizing the purchase. We returned the car with less than 40 miles driven and 24 hours of use. The return was simple, too, but we haven't seen our money returned. We transferred it electronically. I can't see why it would take them anytime to refund it back to us. Today, I called and they said the request to return our money wasn't done. We returned the car on the 19th and now it's the 28th of December. I asked for written confirmation of my refund and have received it. It may be a different scenario if you finance through them, but if you think you may return it and paid cash, make sure you get written confirmation of the refund request. read more

Just picked up a used BMW from Carvana and the process was great. I was able to complete most of the purchase and trade paperwork online so when I went to pick up the car everything was in place and I just had to sign a few documents. I was new to the company so I had a lot of questions but every single person I talked to, from the phone support, online chat, to the in-person staff at the vending machine in Austin was really friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because the car wasn't very clean; brake dust on the rims, light stains in the carpet, and grease marks/dust all over the controls / steering / dash. Not really a big deal as I would likely have any used car I purchased professionally cleaned anyway. Got it detailed yesterday and now it looks brand new. I like changing cars every 1-2 years and Carvana may be my new go-to place. read more

I wanted to sell my truck so I got a bunch of quotes by giving out my vin number and, if asked, giving photos and the mileage. So the quotes I got were $13,000 from the dealership, $8000 from Vroom, $12,500 from Car Max, and $16,400 from Carvana. All of these without having to drive the truck anywhere for an appraisal. The offer from Carvana was in the middle of the Kelly Blue Book price range for the trade in value of the truck in good condition, which it was. (KBB had me list mileage, condition, level of trim, etc.) I accepted Carvana's offer and decided to go with instant cash to my debit card (bank account). The Carvana guy showed up, drove the truck around the block, and had me sign a very simple contract. I read the contract - no language that made me nervous. I signed over the title and gave him the keys and signed a transfer of title doc. (I had removed the license plates, toll tag but left the registration sticker.) The Carvana guy hit "send" on his tablet after I signed everything. In about 1 minute I checked my bank account and the money was there and available. I used it the next day to buy a car. The only downside is that sales tax was higher when I bought the new car. If I'd had a trade in, the tax would've been lower by $900 or so. It was a good experience using Carvana and I'd do it again. I especially liked not having to deal with a trade in situation at the dealership where they start lowballing you and playing games. I hate spending hours haggling over a trade in. I notified the TX DMV online that the truck was sold and is no longer in my name. All very simple. read more
