Apparently this facility does Not want you to just 'Drive Up'. This was made Obvious to us ! My husband and I own a 2012 (yes a 2012!) Model S Tesla ! We are very Proud to be one of the first owners of a Tesla owning a 'Signature Series' !! When we lived In Livermore, Calif Everyone at their Service Centers were Always Wonderful ! Very Curteous and Eager to assist us with our every need. I still have their contact Phone Numbers in my Phone and their Business Cards ! As the years have gone by, we relocated to a home in Texas. We continue to be extremely Pleased with our Car and all of the Service Representatives EXCEPT At THIS Location !! I guess my husband and I are Older and when we enter a Facility we expect someone to 'greet' us, But NOT Here !! We wandered around the grounds and even looked at the new cars inside, but we found No One around there either!! We finally found a desk inside the Service Bay entrance where 2 Gentlemen (I use that term loosely!) were sitting. I asked the bald man (sorry but he Never said his name or gave me a Business card) who we should speak with regarding having one of our keys fixed. We had replaced the battery but it still was not working ! He wasn't friendly at all and I mentioned that everywhere else we have been people where cordial ! He just shrugged me off and told my husband to put both of our keys in the cup holders of our car and someone would come out. The cost would be anywhere between $100-$200. We did as instructed and waited patiently. After some time I went back inside and asked this 'Rude Man' what was going on? He failed to mention we were to leave our car!! He assumed we had left and a service man would come out eventually !! He Assumed we came in Two Cars! Why would we do that to get a key fixed ?? I was Blown away by his attitude and his remarks and finally with great dismay I made an appointment ! Thinking about his instructions I was totally shocked by his request to leave My Keys inside the Cup Holder ! That is Crazy ! Anyone could have entered MY car and Driven it Off ! A real Liability for this Facility. Mr Elon Musk Needs to Know about this !! I'm sure he would be Disappointed if he knew how HIS Customers are being treated ! We also asked this Unkind and Uncaring man about the Solar that Tesla offers and he just said "We don't do Solar Here !!" Not a way to sell your other product !! We have Tesla Solar already on our home and LOVE It !! We just had a few questions ! For some reason a Tesla Rep, named John, came to our home yesterday and Fixed our Key FOR FREE !! WOW thank you John ! He was extremely Polite and Curteous, as all the others have been ! I'm So glad we can Cancel our Appointment at this Service Center for this coming Thursday !! We really Didn't want to go back there Ever Again !!

I'm going to venture and go ahead and give this service station 2 stars because at least someone got back to me. My experience with Tesla has been subpar since owning one for approximately a week. Upon delivery, I noticed some stains on the headliner which were the only ones I could see. They were cleaned and I was told to call back upon seeing anymore with 100 miles. I called back and continued my day not being told I needed to schedule and appointment with the service center and schedule the appointment within the 100 miles. (I work 45 miles away one way ) I scheduled and received and received a service agreement for for $1600 on a Tesla I've owned for 3-4 days. They're trying to tell me I it might not be covered because I was NEVER INFORMED I needed to make the appointment within those miles. They were also extremely slow getting back to me on the Tesla app over messaging; a simple phone call would have sufficed and probably been more customer service oriented. Broken communication, not upholding promises and clear lack of concern for the customer. Also, unfortunately these stains are everywhere but we're hard to see with too much sun and are easily spotted with sunglasses.

There are mechanics... and then there are the tired saints standing at the edge of civilization…read moreholding together the fragile emotional ecosystem known as "people who need their car to start tomorrow." Buddha's Garage is the second one. Dave has the energy of a man who has looked directly into the screaming mechanical abyss of humanity and simply sighed, grabbed a wrench, and fixed it anyway. I swear half the vehicles in that shop arrive after being spiritually wounded somewhere else. Other mechanics will look at your engine like medieval doctors diagnosing ghosts. Dave looks at it once, tilts his head slightly like a jazz musician hearing a wrong note, and suddenly knows your alternator was installed backwards by somebody named Tyler in 2019. And here's the wild part: he's honest. Like deeply, suspiciously honest. The kind of honest that makes you uncomfortable because you forgot businesses could still operate without trying to sell you seventeen imaginary emergencies. Dave will straight up tell you cheaper alternatives, better options, things you can wait on, things you DON'T need. I almost wanted to ask him if he understood capitalism. The customer service feels less like a business and more like your truck wandered into a monastery where everyone took vows of kindness and diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile other shops are out here playing roulette with socket sets: "Hmmm yes, perhaps your issue is... all of the parts." Then Buddha's Garage fixes it in an afternoon and somehow charges you like they still believe in human dignity. Also -- Dave knows an absolutely terrifying amount about vehicles. Not "guy who watches YouTube tutorials" knowledge. I mean ancient-library-hidden-under-the-desert knowledge. The kind where you start explaining the noise your car makes and he already knows the answer before you finish making the sound effect. At this point I'd trust Buddha's Garage with anything mechanical. My car. My lawn mower. A damaged submarine. If NASA called and said a shuttle was making a weird clicking noise, I'd probably hand them Dave's number. I'm going there no matter what. If I move across the state, I'll crawl back on flaming rims like a pilgrim returning to holy ground.

The first time I used him, he…read morethought it would cost $90 to fix my car's problem (which is already pretty cheap) and then he comes back to me the next day and gives my check back saying it only cost him $60. I was floored. That is pretty much unheard of for mechanics. For the same problem, two other mechanics quoted me $200-$250 before I found him. This guy is really something else! He's from Florida, too, so even more thumbs up! Hahah

HONEST Auto-Mechanic, HONEST Auto-Mechanic!!…read more The owner of Broken Down Automotive is named Dennis & while he is not a warm & fuzzy kind of guy he IS very good at what he does & does quality work. He is also very honest & will let you know if he is unable to fix a mechanical problem. My husband & I have been doing business w/ Dennis & his son for 12 yrs now & with us driving older vehicles sometimes we do have parts on our vehicles that need to be looked at or replaced. Dennis is such an honest guy there will be times that he'll just let my husband know that the issue is something that he can fix by himself & Dennis will tell him how to do it & this way we don't have to pay out of pocket for any repairs getting done since it is something simple that my hubby can do...I know so awesome! I wanted to make sure to stress that Broken Down Automotive is an honest mechanic shop & no matter if you are a female needing work done on your car you can know that you will be treated fairly & don't have to worry about being cheated just because you are a women needing mechanical work done. Again, Dennis is not a warm & fuzzy or even a very talkative person BUT he does let you know if he can do the work up front & will give an honest & fair estimate for the work that may need to be done. He is a rare breed in the mechanical world :-).
