Stopped in for a soft serve ice cream, my husband had not been in years. He wanted a large I ordered a small. We were shocked that his large ice cream was over 8 dollars. Is this was it cost for a soft serve now? I'm surprised at the costs for plain soft serve. I didn't see prices listed my fault for not asking but absolutely didn't think a large was almost 9 dollars. Carvel is a known delicious chain. This one in ardsley is extremely special though. They have amazing, friendly and fun workers. Always top quality in service and never ever rude. Clean facility all the time. Order is always accurate and consistent. What really made an impression on me was my Uber Eats order was completely messed up and they literally offered to take my delivery to me themselves in a rain and wind storm. It is so sad that a place that was redone so nicely has such poor taste in management. I've gone there MULTIPLE TIMES just to be treated like an incovenience to the manager. He has an attitude every time we go in there, which is usually 2-3 hours before they close. He turns the machines off HOURS before closing (This has happened on MULTIPLE occasions). The last time I went in there he didn't say one word to me while taking my order which was extremely disrespectful so I asked for his name and he wouldn't even give it to me. We have been coming to the store for the past 3 years , while we drop our kids off at HOS . It's very refreshing to see a store that hires so many local kids to work there . When I grew up everyone worked. I went to a McDonald's last week and only the drive thru was open, because they couldn't get enough staff to open the entire store ... I just had the Oreo Cold Brew for the first time, and I have one important piece of feedback for the flavor... NEVER get rid of it. I need it everyday for the rest of my life. My dad asked for a banana split the woman took forever to create it asked 3 times what toppings my father answered her 3 times. Then my turn I asked for cold brew and cake mix in a cone. She looked at me confused asked the other employee what should she do. She asked me again what did you want. I said cold brew soft serve and cake mix. She put it in the cone and it was dripping like a huge mess off the cone completely. Carvel on a hot night. Awesome. This outlets is also a a Subway sandwich shop, which is a little incongruous with Carvel--Subway has a specific smell from their "fresh" baked bread that ruined the mojo, just a little. Ice Cream makes every one happy!!! I loved Carvel as a kid but had not been to one in years, after visiting this location I remembered why I love Carvel so much. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have food allergies so I asked a lot of questions about the ingredients of different flavors. Lucy Don't try to make me like the bad guy if you were willing to give the $4 dollars you should of done that in the store when you explained to me about the toppings. As a owner/Manager the right thing to do was after explaining to me about the toppings your next response should of been to me as a customer was I will credit you the $4 but next time you will be charged not come after me outside and telling me enough already enough. As for me yelling and cursing yeah that was wrong but you came after me outside as for my daughter you should of never said anything to her when you confronted me outside you were at fault as well in causing this problem. This is a subway / carvel and the first time I've come to this location. First off, all the ice cream looks old, some with frost and others that look as if they've melted at some point then refrozen. The place is sloppy. I'm not saying it isn't clean, although that's me being nice. It's simply sloppy and things look as if they haven't been updated in a while. The weather is warmer today and there are ants walking around in the inside windowsill, perhaps from the dust and visible dirt behind the cabinets and freezer backs that stand in front of the window. Unfortunately this is the only ice cream parlor in the town of Ardsley but if you're willing to drive another couple of miles there are much better options in the neighboring towns. The manager is an idiot. They deserve no stars! All I wanted was 6 ice cream sandwiches with sprinkles on it. It's not rocket science. You take it and roll it into the sprinkles and it's done. I asked him if he could do it and he said yes and charged my card without a problem. Then said he couldn't do it gave me a cash refund when I paid with my card and said come back later. Took my kids here after the park on a Saturday evening and I will never go back here again. The place was so dirty and disgusting. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, until I noticed a big black hair sitting in the ice cream. I got a soft serve with brownies and the brownies were hard as a rock, you can tell they were old and sitting around. My son got a mint chocolate chip which the woman was scrapping the end of the ice cream barrel and barley gave him 2 scoops. This is really a shame for Ardsely. First of all, this Carvel is very dirty. That alone should be enough to turn you away. Additionally, the employees of the store are not very friendly, and charge for absolutely everything. The employees at this location know that their Carvel is the only ice-cream shop in the area, and take advantage of that fact!
