I've been soo wanting to come here one thing or another we haven't. Well my other half wanted sushi ; so I said let's go it hit great reviews. Parking is street parking but it was plentiful on a Wednesday night. The menu had option's; cartel Ones, Brothers de Sashimi , Sushi Maki Roll, teriyaki , bento boxes . We started with edamame . Dave ordered 2 rolls . I ordered a bento box and white tuna sashimi in the side.., I was a tad underwhelmed when they didn't have toro or uni which was on the menu. My frown was turned upside down when I tried my bento box with fish katzu and sashimi with 3 fried rice upgrade ; everything on that plate was delicious ; from the shumai to the sashimi the rice just scrumptious. The waitress was awesome attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We are planning our return so many options a little time.

The sushi is made very well. I never had tempura calamari roll and I was very happy with it though the squid was a bit hard so may be overcooked this time. The service was pretty fast and the place is spacious and warm. I would come back to sit down on a Sunday as they were empty however they were getting DoorDash orders.

First time going and the workers were so nice, energetic and very polite. The sushi was delicious and is the new sushi spot in Dobbs !! Will be going back soon!!

Really spacious restaurant with friendly service. There were a lot of large booths available which was great! I ordered a Bento box which was well-prepared and tasty, but the food was all room temperature including the sushi. It is a nice place to meet up with friends and chat for a long time.

But who is Martine? Who is Mimi? How is the Gelattttt? I and my team of reports answer this and more for you below. Martine is the counter to the manly man name of Martin. It is of French and Latin descent as well as of French and Latin decency. It originates, of course as a dedication to Mars. Extraterrestrial in a sense. Outside of this, my team of young buck analysts couldn't cook me up anything else. Zippo. Absolutely no information about Martine. Don't know anything about Mimi either but they summate that she "must be bussin FRFR, Gelatosss next to the train station so niche, slayyyy." Real bang up job losers. It's Gelati. Nepo hires. Summer interns. Obviously not getting full time positions. On that note, if you're interested in working for a leader of the industry, find your way to my DMs. Don't be afraid of your idols. So sick of this shite but I'll continue because I'm a professional. You see this Yelp!!! Consummate pro. Spot is cute, nice to walk to after dinner on a double tiered Scarsdale downtown. Various flava flavors, not sure how many of them are real and how many are just flavoring. IYKYK. Snobs UNITE. But good texture. Little pricey. I like da ideaaaa, and the execution is good enough to earn it a round up to 4 stars.

I am however, a chocolate fiend. So when I noticed The Pod by Cocoa Compassion on Cedar St in Dobbs Ferry not far from where hubs and I had our antique+vintage shop, I had to visit. The Pod by Cocoa Compassion's owner- Joy is 100% in support of working closely with family-run cacao farmers in The Caribbean, some Central American countries and Africa and sourcing the best quality chocolate bars and powders to these neck of the woods and beyond. What's more, the owner donates a portion of her profits to charitable organizations in NYC. With her chocolate, the owner bakes her own delicious 'Compassion Chocolate Cookies' that are filled with scrumptious dark chocolate chunks, other pastries and her hot chocolate- which is to-die for. When you come to The Pod, you're actually home: sit on the sofa lounge a bit if you want and strike up a conversation with the owner- who's a hoot and damn well knows her cacao. I learned a thing or two maybe three because of her. The shelves are stocked with dark chocolate bars and powders for purchase and specialty gift items as well. By the way, Joy rents(?) the small space up front for pop-up events+vendors selling their handmade jewelry, silk scarves, etc.- just double-check if this is something she's still doing. If you're looking for somewhere to have a tasty hot chocolate, want to indulge in a one of her cookies or come in for the positive vibes, The Pod is a must.
