I didn't have to go grocery shopping and I definitely wasn't prepared for what was about to come (as they're officially my new favorite supermarket). A supermarket that doesn't carry plastic water bottles and proudly has a sign that they haven't been selling plastic still bottle since 2011 in efforts to be able to reduce plastic, is just something we need to see more of. Plus, everything's organic! The cool part is you can bring your huge jugs of water and refill them in the entrance with alkaline water. There were also a ton of produce boxes available for you to shop in and save bags. I totally missed this and came super unprepared without even my own bags. Loved the weighed grain section where you can pay less for certain ones by buying them in bulk. You can even bring your own refillable containers for dish soap, body soap, dishwasher soap, Castile soap, laundry detergent, face wash, body lotion and more. If you don't have your own containers you can buy their glass ones and refill those. They even have a recycle center as soon as you walk in. You can donate eye glasses, batteries, shoes, natural cork and even compost! Their purpose is simple: to protect and restore the environment. This is my language.
