I hadn't been to a Carvel in years. I didn't realize there was one only 15 minutes away in Naugatuck! I love that they have a few soft serve flavors other than chocolate and vanilla: strawberry, mint, coconut and toasted almond on the day I went. I had the toasted almond waffle cone. So creamy and flavorful. They also had hard ice cream and a ton of different toppings as well as packaged cakes and novelties. The young people working there were so friendly to the customers and to each other. You could tell they enjoyed working there. Will definitely be back! read more

I always love the service here since it never takes the staff over 10 minutes to get me out of there! Their floor is often wet for some reason, but id put the blame on customers! Me and my husband are there almost on a weekly basis for my reeses sundae dasher and his coke/pepsi float! read more

I haven't been here since the summer but it's still one of my favorite go to place that's close by. They actually had my favorite of theirs which is the soft serve toasted almond. This time it had a little less of the almond flavor but it was still very good. I have a Carvel in my hometown but I prefer this one a couple of towns away that I travel to. The staff is always so friendly. It doesn't matter who's there. They're always different staff but equally very friendly. They also don't skimp on the hot fudge on their sundaes like some of the other stores do. They put an ample amount of hot fudge on their hot fudge sundaes. Ice cream flavors are great. Also tried the black raspberry today. It tasted very good. Very creamy. read more

Carvel is a nice treat to have near my house. This Carvel is pretty good. it's usually not too long of a wait, there is a good selection of take home cakes, icecreams and other desserts as well as a regular menu, and it's attached to G's Burgers so you could grab dinner and dessert and sit if you'd like. The cookie butter shake is very sweet but good! We also had the Oreo dasher which was perfect with a nice amount of hot fudge which everywhere else seems to be so stingy with these days. The employees are friendly and prices are fair. This isn't something I get all of the time, but it's a nice treat once in a while! read more

Beats the bar scene. Wednesday's they have buy 1 sundae and get 1 free. This would be a good time to get your sundae. Make it a midweek treat with the kiddos. I had never been to a Carvel before, having come from Chicago. This location was next to a dog n burger place, a trend that I've noticed as I pass by Carvel's. The counter help were eager to please and patient with me when I asked questions and couldn't make up my mind. They cheerfully altered the items on the menu, per my request and it was delicious. Ice cream was good but I didn't like that the worker was sweeping the floor when I arrived and stopped to make my ice cream but didn't wash her hands before making my ice cream. Carvel please train employees to wash hands before handling food. Thank you. read more

The soft serve style ice cream is good. Carvel is one of the best around. However, the prices are quite high, and they charge you extra for any topping! The dining area is shared with G's Burgers and is quite small. It feels claustrophobic at it's busiest. Outdoor seating is available, but this is also relatively small. They sell cakes and other products to take home as well. Somewhat disappointed overall at my experiences here. read more
