This is by far the worst Carvel I've ever been to!!!! I tried to order a junior cup for my daughter with hot fudge... The guy working there said I can't get a junior cup with hot fudge it has to be a small, medium or large cup... Apparently that's the owner's rules. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. So my kid had to be disappointed without hot fudge bc I was not buying a larger cup. Hey owner, BAD BUSINESS!!! Don't you realize you'd be making money on that squirt of hot fudge??? Guess you don't care about pleasing your customers. I don't understand why Carvel is so good, but it is. I love a dipped cone, or vanilla covered in sprinkles. Out in CA all we have is the grocery store frozen cakes which don't do this place justice. If you're in New Milford, Carvel is one of the finest attractions here. read more

I'll add on with every one else that this guy is a class A jerk. I purposefully bulked up our order to get over the $15 card limit as I only had about $8 in cash. I understand, the card companies charge a lot, it's part of business now however. His machine was acting up and it took 3 different cards before a swipe would register. Not declines mind you, and not old worn out cards either, HIS machine was the problem. He then proceeds to ask very rudely to me and for the rest of the store to hear "why can't you just put $20 in your pocket"! WHAT?! Unbelievable! At least a few people followed me out the door after that exchange. Out of respect for the families that were in there I kept my mouth shut but I sure didn't want to. read more

He was insanely rude to my husband and I and then smacked my husbands arm while he was trying to pay and told him "you don't mess with people bigger than you" even though he was the only one who had a problem from the second we walked in. The owner is a bit odd. He has absolutely no personality and seems annoyed when you order ice cream. Not sure why that is. This location is not large inside but does have a large selection of cakes. So I was in here the other day and was charged a .50 surcharge for using my debit card.. which in CT it is illegal to even do so when using a credit card. There was a sign that said 5$ minimum, the thing came to 5.09 and this scum of an owner takes it upon his awesome self To apply his 50 cent handling fee. Enjoy. read more

You absolutely can not beat the pumpkin ice cream, sold only in the fall. It's just the right fall spice flavor. Second favorite are the red & chocolate "bonnet" ice creams. No one does them better than Carvel. The young staff sometimes make it obvious that they do not want to be there, but you find that in a lot of places. read more

I love Carvel a great deal, but historically have found the employee (owner?) in this particular store seems miserable to be there every time I go.
