I went in to get some lunch from The hot food section, while I was walking to the food court a woman was there coughing up a storm! IN FRONT OF THE FOOD! She didn't cover her mouth or anything. I lost my appetite, turned around and left. The hot food section really needs to be covered by metal lids. Also, I recommend changing up the hot food bar it's ALL WAYS the same unhealthy food! Fried chicken, meatloaf, etc.. how about grilled chicken, salmon, steamed veggies! The store is good but you gotta do something about that food court. read more

Stop by this location for shopping while in town. Pretty big store and easy to navigate with aisles marked. Full grocery store - fresh fruit and veggies, bakery items and flowers as well. Ample parking space in the lot. Friendly staff and easy to go through check out as well. Don't forget to clip coupons on the app for easy check out. Look at the weekly sales as well. read more

My problem is this Brookfield store won't stop moving products around. I'm tired of trying to find items I finally get the strategy down so my cold frozen items I pick up last and then they completely rearrange everything. Pisses me off I want to know the store get in and out as quickly as possible. Give them the high prices they are asking many doubled prices and the crap of digital scanning sale items is a joke I don't buy any of the items I want because you have to continually scan items to get the sale price. The simple scan your rite aid card was so easy. I haven't been back to this store in months since they keep moving things around and by the way the enterance is disgustingly filthy. read more

The entrance to the store is very dirty, the glass door is covered in filth as it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. There is stuff in the entrance area that can be dangerous trying to get inside. They really need to clean this store as it's very unpleasant to shop here. No excuse for keeping such dirty store. I have been a ShopRite / Walbalms customer for nearly 30 years. That being said after this afternoon shopping experience I literally turned in my Cards at the Servive Desk No need to go into details other than I do the vast majority of the shopping for our family which approachs over $300 a week. While there are convenience advantages I hit the Last Straw. Certainly I find other groups a better advantage and more professional as well as friendly. Those being Big Y (two locations), Aldi's (two locations), Stop & Shop (two locations and Tractor Supply. Lastly Walden Meats (Deliverd Directly to our Home with no Delivery Costs by their own personal in a Company Van. I'll miss several very nice folks at the Brookfield location.... but again "Enough is Enough". Steve read more

Since we moved here 9 months, we never enjoyed shopping here. Lousy parking . Confusing layout, high prices and not so helpful staff. Just to make sure it wasn't just me, we went to a shop rite in Croton Falls, NY. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be a great experience . Clean, great layout and helpful staff. I've been shopping here since we moved to this area over 20 years ago. The staff is always helpful, the variety couldn't be better and they have items that a lot of stores just don't carry. I saw some of the reviews giving one star like Renee because the cashier spoke rudely to the bagger, she's from Massachusetts (she travels far to get groceries) along with Ronda who comes from Queens, guess there are no stores where they live. Then we've got Steve who doesn't like the parking lot and the store layout confuses him. Nevertheless, this store has everything I want exactly where I can find it and although some days the parking lot if very crowded I can always find a place to park. read more

Ahh Shop Rite...I have an affinity for you, despite the fact the closest stores to me are Canton, Waterbury, and Brookfield. Maybe it's because I gave a year and a half of my life to your parent company, Wakefern, as an employee of your ghetto-fabulous uber-discount grocery store Price Rite for my first job. I don't live in the area and therefore don't frequent Shop Rite often, but in my opinion, they need an aesthetic update. The register area looks the same as when I was about 4, when I would come shopping here with my grandparents...and the layout leaves something to be desired. But you carry metromint water which is a royal friggin pain to find up my way since Price Chopper stopped carrying it...so kudos on that. read more

Fruits and vegetables are not as good as they use to be. Returned avacodos all were black inside. Peached had no taste.

Growing up on the other side of town as a "Waldbaums" family- a shop Rite visit was a very special trip indeed. you had a real bakery, florist and much better tasting sugar cookies. Your plaza had a an upscale card shop, we had a depressing Hallmark where old ladies spent their keno winnings. Your plaza also had walgreens- we had a small CVS - Being isolated in the candlewood lake communities (the lands where plows forgot), sometimes had to go without prescription meds for a day or two becuase our 1987 Dodge minivan (yes, the boxy one) could only make it to the litte store (ie Lakeshore Deli or the spa) for the essentials... But I digress, I remember that Shop Rite also rented movies and, alas, SEGA games! But... Waldbaums had better nylar baloons on a stick which continued to deplete the pockets of the Western Brookfielders... read more

This is the best grocery store around. Everything is fresh, the aisles are wide, the selection is wonderful and it's very clean. They have low prices and you will be able to find a wide variety of ethnic groceries. Their butcher department is always available to help with special orders as is their bakery department, and they have a sushi section with fresh sushi made daily and to order. This is a wonderful grocery store. read more

I do as much of my grocery shopping here as I can. Great variety of ethnic foods (Asian, Indian, Mexican, Brazilian, etc), great produce section which always has fresh, good looking/tasting produce, fully stocked "health food" section (gluten free, organic, etc) including dairy, fresh sushi that's better than even some sushi restaurants, awesome butchers, great selection of seafood, aisles wide enough to get around "distracted" shoppers, staff that are nice and always helpful in every department and awesome music while you're shopping (50's and 60's rock). And for all this, you just have to put up with some of the best prices in the Danbury area. Kudos to the management of this store because it's definietly one of the best grocery stores I've ever been in. read more

It's not so much the grocery store as a comment on society. And that comment is that America kicks ass. Not only are there rows of fresh produce and stanzas of international food broken down by geography, the stock boy smelled of fresh reefer. He really smelled up the joint, he was knowledgeable and directed us directly to the pastry puffs. On top of that management makes all the cashiers and baggers wear uniforms reminiscent of 1950 Nazi Germany. To top it all off the people in the parking lot are radical right wing fascists, unyielding killing machines hell bent on the destruction of anyone who isn't them. If you're unlucky enough to get in their way they will flatten you faster than a hippo sitting on a caribou. I'm going to have my wedding reception there this place rocks! read more

The produce section is horrific. The vegetables are always spoiled and left there for days. I've complained to the manager and nothing gets done. I will be writing a letter to shop rites corporate headquarters about this issue. read more

Great gluten-free and allergy-friendly selection. Plus, the staff will order pretty much anything for you as long as they can get it. The butcher shop is also great for getting some custom cuts. Overall, the staff is pleasant to deal with, the selection is great, and the store is well laid out and CLEAN. read more

We used Kristina in the Florist Dept at ShopRite to do the flowers for our wedding. Honestly, the decision came down to availability and cost, and our expectations weren't that high. Kristina blew us away!!!! The arrangements for the church were absolutely stunning! My bouquet and those of the bridal party were equally beautiful, as were the boutonnieres and corsages! Everything was ready when requested, flowers were fresh, and we continue to enjoy the arrangements over a week after the event. Kristina is a gem of a talent!! read more

This grocery store is very clean and carrys all the items that we love. The prices are great...BUT, the one thing that makes this grocery special to me is the SUSHI! I love sushi and sashimi and could live on it, but it is not always easy to find such delicious and fresh sushi in a grocery store. This is the go-to Sushi for me! read more

I went recently after not going for a while and it was expensive. Prices are higher than Stop & Shop and Big Y. Organic produce items that are loose always seem dusty, especially the squash. I bought strawberries on sale but they were already moldy the next day. It does have a good selection of items but that's about the only reason I'd go back. Bakery has a great selection for kids' birthday cakes. read more
