    Sullivan Tire & Auto Service

I hit a curb and ended up getting a small slash in my tire sidewall. I did some research online and…read moredecided to go for the first time with Sullivan Tire & Auto. I was able to order my tire online, and request a appointment on a Sunday afternoon. Within minutes of requesting a appointment, I had it scheduled for the next day. I also included a oil change service as well. I went in, gave them the info about my tire, and left. A few hours later they called me letting me know my car was ready. When I arrived I noticed that my slashed tire was still on the car. I went in and explained the issue, and they immediately took action. A simple mistake of doing the wrong tire. That's life, it happens. Within 20 minutes I was on my way. I would return to them again because they put the customer first, and acknowledged their mistake.

NOT SO FAST OLD MAN! The good folks at Sullivan told me the tire couldn't be repaired because the screw was too close to the sidewall. What they didn't know is that I knew exactly where the screw was. It was well within the tread. But they REALLY wanted to help with my problem, and offered to sell me one tire, for nearly $400. Installed I assume, or maybe not. So, I took my leak elsewhere. Got it repaired for $40 and made a friend. The man has been in the tire business for decades, and just shook his head when I told him the story. Here's the thing: I never begrudge a man a day's pay, but do not try to take advantage of me. I'm too old and I worked too f***ing hard for my pension to get porked because the rubber merchants had a slow day. Sullivan Tire will reply, bleating their side of the story. And that's fine. I know the truth. Now you do too.

They did what appeared to be a good enough job (although the attendant couldn't drive my manual and they finally got a different attendant after they stalled it half a dozen times while I watched in horror). Fast forward 2 years. I happened to be sitting on the ground and could see under my car and noticed one of the tires tread patterns didn't match the others. Upon further inspection, they had installed one of my tires backwards. I had done 10k on the tire at that point. I took the car back and was waited upon by a very unkempt dismissive and rude individual. He not once apologized. He made it sound like it was my fault and how could I not notice for 2 years and that they were doing me a favor fixing it. The tech that did the swap was equally sketchy and rude to my face. They scratched my rim in the process. I've used this business half a dozen times dating back to late 90's. The place is sketchy, deteriorating and I recommend everyone go elsewhere. It's clear they don't care about the customer or the business.

We should have walked out at the outset, but it was a Saturday and my daughter needed two tires. From the get-go, 'Austin', the store manager, could not have been more rude , dismissive and unprofessional. The biggest issue was that 'Austin'staff never informed us that their 'tire balancer' was broken and 'Austin' had to go to another store. Instead, we were left waiting for nearly two hours with no clear explanation or updates. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating and showed little respect for customers' time. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend this location.

I panicked, filled it up myself, and called them first thing in the morning for an appointment. They were able to squeeze me into the schedule right away. Instead of just sending me on my way, they went above and beyond. They drained the oil I had hastily put in and did a proper, full oil and filter change. My mechanic, Marc (who is an absolute hero!), thoroughly inspected the old filter for any signs of engine metal shavings to make sure no permanent damage was done. He found no leaks, no mechanical issues, and no shavings, giving me the honest peace of mind that the car is good to go. The ticking sound is completely gone! To get same-day appointment availability, fast service, wonderful results, and a minimal charge was incredible. It is rare to find a shop this honest and efficient. I highly recommend Marc and the team!"

They were naming quotes over $1000 w/o labor costs. To anyone, especially UNH students, DO NOT GO HERE.
