I had a very good experience at Cary Massage. It doesn't have a large facility with hot tubs, saunas, and all these other luxuries. Instead, it's a nice space set up in an office building, with warm ambient lighting and a very relaxed atmosphere. I got a 60 minute hot stone massage as it's something I'd always wanted to try. Once my masseuse was ready, she brought me to a back room where I was allowed to get undressed and lie down under a set of sheets on the massage table while she waited outside the door for my okay that I was ready. I wasn't sure what to expect since I hadn't received a professional massage before, but I can tell you it was well worth the money. The basic "Swedish" part of the massage was excellent, with her making sure everything was comfortable for me. When she first started using the stones, I'd thought she had some warm massage oil or lotion that she was rubbing on my arm - that is until she then placed the stone in my hand! The stones were incredibly smooth and warm. At the end of the massage, I woke up (lol) feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and looking forward to my next visit. Absolutely with no question this was the place for me! As a traveler, I often will get off a plane and think to myself, goodness gracious, I need a massage! My husband and I went in on Saturday for a couples massage. He was so nervous (it was his first massage), but ended up really enjoying his massage with Helen. Yana was my therapist, and she is amazing. I've had hip pain for 2 years, but since Saturday's massage, I'm pain free. I wish I had found her years ago! They have heated massage tables - a definite bonus. Both took the time to ask questions about any injuries or concerns we had, and where we wanted to concentrate the massage. I love how easy it is to book with them. The atmosphere is very tranquil. My last massage was in the middle of the sliding scale from okay to good...my massage therapist was chatty at the beginning, which is frustrating because it negates the calmness of the experience. I also could not understand a single word she said, she speaks quietly and mumbles, so that was annoying. They email out specials which is fun. I'm taking off a star because there are do-Terra products (an MLM) EVERYWHERE! I'm pretty sure the oils they use on clients are do-Terra and that is no bueno for me. I'd book here again if it wasn't for that. I wish they used legitimate and non-controversial products...if I wanted pyramid scheme essential oils around me, I'd get on Facebook and wait for a message from a person who I haven't seen since high school that starts with "hey girl!". A number of years ago, I used to get a massage (in California) by a mobile therapist every two weeks and she was able to get used to my body's musculature and neuro-skeletal system. But she moved and I didn't find another. Then I moved to Cary four years ago and recently started looking for another therapist. I have tried two other massage locations in Cary. One went out of business when the economy took a down-turn, and the other... well let's say they spent too much time trying to hook me into a lifetime membership with no way out. And the massage was barely average to boot. After reading around some reviews, I thought I'd give Cary Massage a try. it's across town from me, but it was completely worth it. I got a 90min swedish for my first and I was sold. My wife went today for the same, and just like me, Nicole treated her well. Very professional, the ambiance was peaceful and therapeutic. I hope to make this a regular treat, and especially as I work my body back into shape, I'll need the body work. I have no need to look further. Cary Massage is wonderful. read more

Nice little spot in Cary. It was really hard to find, because it is in an area that looks like an apartment complex. It's a business complex, but give yourself about 10 extra minutes to find it. I got an hour long Swedish massage and I was slightly disappointed in the lack of strength behind the massage. Some portions were almost just like rubbing, not a massage. As per usual, I always ask for extra time on my feet, but no one wants to actually do it. I told my therapist but she said she would touch on the area "even though it was a Swedish massage". Not sure what that meant. If foot massages were extra, I would have paid the money. Nice music, and they have essential oils for an additional cost. I found all the open Bibles all over the place a bit weird but the staff was very sweet! read more

I went to Cary Massage for the first time the other night, and while I don't have a strong basis of comparison as its only the third massage I've ever had, I did enjoy it thoroughly and Rachel did a great job - she was very friendly and helpful. The yelp deal certainly helped, but even outside of that, their prices seem very reasonable. To address what a previous commenter said, the Christian nature of the business is on display fairly prominently (a cross and large bible on the table in my massage room), and as an atheist myself I went into it wondering what that was going to be like, but I certainly wasn't proselytized to in any way, and I'd imagine its nice for their customers who do share their beliefs. Before pregnancy, I would usually get a massage at least once a month as my job requires 10 hours/day of standing and bending. Amy gives the best deep tissue massage I've ever had, she has helped me so much with my sore muscles from running 4+ plus miles a day on the greenway and doing yoga and TRX workouts. It is tucked away in a small office park but dont let that deter you. I only had to wait a few minutes in the lobby as I had the paperwork all done prior to arriving from their website. I was booked for a Swedish tissue massage but I wound up getting a Deep Tissue massage which is what I really should have booked. Elizabeth did my massage and she was fantastic. I had some pretty tight knots in my left shoulder and she worked them out really well. She knew what she was doing for the entire massage and was great to talk to as well. I will defintely be returning and requesting Elizabeth again for my massage. I highly recommend Cary Massage as you wont be disappointed. I also liked it as it wasnt one of those fru fru places. I've gotten many massages and/or facials here and I'm a big fan. The staff is courteous and seems genuinely concerned about helping you relax and feel good. I've had a few different massage therapists and each one has been excellent - some of the best massages I've ever had! They just have an instant calming effect on me. Beds are comfy and heated. Ambiance is set with peaceful music. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars is sometimes I can hear a loud train during my massage and sometimes one of the rooms is chilly and no calming scents like lavender. Updating my Previous review, though I had an Issue with this Establishment the owner cares a lot about happy customers. She offered to refund my entire payment for the other service I had as well. That was Great, I told the Individual on the phone that I needed some work done and wanted someone able to give me some good heavy pressure and thorough muscle work. Now, as a receptionist I appreciate trying to be fair to everyone and get them booked! However I also appreciate being told honestly if someone can do what I asked for. If not, just explain that the individuals available are good, but not able to give a great deal of pressure as desired. I booked a 90min Deep Tissue with Hot Stone, knowing the heat would help to warm up my muscle Tissue and make it easier to work on. The Therapist I had was very nice, and tried her darnedest to give me pressure, I could feel her shake from the effort! She was good at the relaxing Massage she did give me, and Had that been what I was looking for this would have been a 5 star. Sadly, I have got some issues I needed addressed. I listed specific issues that I needed worked on, and I came out relaxed but with just as many muscular issues as I had going into the service. Not the therapist fault, she tried... But the receptionist needs to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the Therapist she is scheduling people with, and if one of them can't do what the client is asking for then it is better to inform the client of that! I paid for the service and gave three stars because the Therapist still gave a good service, just not the type I specifically told the receptionist I was looking for! read more
