Longing for surf and sand, we scheduled a long weekend in Port Aransas and found a fantastic house within 5 minutes of the beach. "Villa 4 Rita" is dog friendly and can sleep a total of eight. The setup includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. An open loft sleeps 4 but it has a low ceiling and the stairs are treacherous. Melissa made our trip fantastic. We got her take on restaurants and took her up on a few of her suggestions. Check in and check out were as easy as the beach breeze.

Not only is there website the most friendly, so are their prices. They never charge hidden fees and they carry mostly mid-range properties. They provide two tabs for dishwasher, a small dish soap, at least two toilet paper rolls, a trash bag, and all of the linens (towels, too). You bring additional of the other if needed - but this is a small price to pay for NO FEES. Getting your key is as easy as stopping by their office (located near the ferry landing). If you arrive after 4pm, there's a drop box and you can pay on your way out. You must put down 1 night deposit (you can use credit card online) and pay full amount when you arrive, but they only accept checks, money orders and cashiers checks up to 2 weeks prior to your stay. Upon arrival you can pay with credit card (although it's very courteous to pay with debit) or cashier's check. We once had several houses booked for a large party so I made sure to bring a cashier's check to avoid the fees. There are very few properties I've not completely loved in the last 5 years of booking with them. If you want an honest opinion about a property - hit me up and I will let you know. TIP: Hang on to your keys - only fees are for lost keys!

Could use some kitchen towels and basic spices but it was no big deal as we brought most of our own. Lots of stairs in case that makes a difference for some. Carpeting in many areas if you are allergy prone. Many games and areas in the house to spread out yet still be together. We loved the place and would rent again . Beautiful porch and chairs to enjoy especially in the evening. Close to boardwalk to beach for walking or using a golf cart if you rent one.

This time around my sister and brother in law and thier kids also came along for the first time. Becky the property manager greeted us as we arrived at our 4pm check-in. She explained everything in detail and walked us through the cabin and made us feel very welcomed. The unique one story cabins are arranged in a horseshoe configuration and are named according to their theme, and in the middle a beautiful courtyard is shared with gueats. We actually stayed in their latest newly remodeled two story cabin called The Marlin. It's located right next to the main property. At night it's very safely lit and your vechicals are parked under the structure. It sleeps 10 with two full baths and all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. It has a second story large balcony and a small third story balcony as well. Access to the beach is at walking distance or a short drive. After hurricane Harvey the cabins sustained damage and there was even a waterline marker when the storm surge came in. After alot of hard work and tireless vollenteers the newly remodeled cabins are better than ever. Becky was even kind enough to show us inside The Rock and Roll cabin and the remarkable improvements they made. The Dancing Dunes is highly recommend which ever cabin you stay in. Our stay at "Show Me Your Tito's" was disappointing from the moment we arrived. On the first day,…read morewe immediately noticed a strong cigarette smoke odor throughout the unit, and there was visible mold on the bathroom doors. The most serious issue occurred on our second night when we detected a gas leak. Maintenance responded but spent only a few minutes at the property before simply turning off the gas valve and leaving. Around 2:00 a.m., the gas company arrived, conducted a thorough inspection, and also determined that the gas needed to remain off for safety reasons. As a result, we were unable to use hot water for showers and could not cook dinner that evening or breakfast the following morning. We were also instructed to keep the windows open, which left the casita warm, humid, and uncomfortable overnight. The next morning, another gas company technician inspected the property and identified old, faulty stove knobs as the source of the problem. What was especially frustrating was the response from management afterward. The property manager attempted to claim that a smoke detector in the unit was a combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector. We photographed the device and verified that it was only a smoke detector, not a dual-purpose unit as represented. Guest safety should be a top priority. Between the cigarette odor, mold concerns, gas leak, loss of essential amenities, and misleading information regarding carbon monoxide detection, this property did not meet reasonable expectations. I hope these issues are addressed before future guests stay here.

Several were up for sale. There was a community pool with close walking distance. We never used it, but it seemed nice. The best part was the proximity to the beach. In my opinion, it was too far from both Port A and Corpus Christi, but overall I was upset by it. Just had to have designated drivers in place since we were on vacation and had 11 of us altogether. It's almost pitch dark on the road at night and there aren't many passing zones with it being a 2-lane highway. Find your group and have a good time, y'all!

Deep enough to get a full soak which was great after a long drive. It was attached to a one bedroom efficiency which also had a refrigerator and kitchen appliances. The property is RIGHT on the beach! Plenty of rooms to choose from. You can book a one bedroom condo and add two additional (attached) one bedroom efficiencies which also have bathrooms, kitchen appliances and a full refrigerator. Great for large groups. Everyone can stay together and still have privacy. They also have laundry facilities on site and in some of the condos. AND they welcome dogs! $25 per dog per night. We had boarded our dogs. Next time they are coming with us! The property is within walking distance to a restaurant too. Great HEATED pool and jacuzzi as well. Special shout out to MIRANDA who assisted us with finding the right room for a return visit. Coordinated with other staff to show us three options for our next stay in May. My wallet was stolen from our room. We filed a police report after realizing it was missing from…read morethe night stand. We had been playing at the beach and it was gone when we returned. The manager immediately turned hostile and unhelpful when we questioned if someone had access to the room. There were two blatant security issues that i should have addressed from the first. The code for the electric lock on the door is the last 4 of your phone number which is too easily accessed from anyone in the "office". They don't give you an option to create your own. Secondly, the set of two adjoining rooms had a 3rd door that could be opened by the occupant of that unit directly into the rooms we were in. Upon arrival I could tell the place was very run down. We should have left right then. I would still have my wallet and cash and wouldn't have to go to all the trouble of canceling my card and replacing my id etc!

We had a good time at Mustang Towers but were very disappointed with certain aspects of the condo…read more 1. We cook a lot and the kitchen severely lacked working utensils . The manual can opener did not work at all. One mixers did not work at all and the other one was very poor. We had to scramble around with other guest and neighbors to borrow their items. 2. The Air conditioner filter looks like they haven't been changed in about 2 years and have a very thick about of lint. 3. We ran out of toilet paper and was told by the property managers that we need to buy our own. That means we have to go into town to buy toilet paper. I have an Airbnb and would never tell our guest to buy their own toilet paper. Receiving a message like that makes me want to care less about turning up the temperature on the AC to save you money. It makes me less motivated to leave the condo as clean as possible. For $2 or $3 you certainly taint how I fell about staying there. 4. Maybe not your issue but the umbrella that we rented was not very good. The auger bit to drill a hole in the sand is not make for hard sand on PA beaches. The only way we could use the umbrella was to manually dig a hole with a borrowed shovel so the hole was deep enough to withstand the wind. 5. The furniture in this condo was a lot older than other MT condos that we stayed in.
