La La Land was a gorgeous home and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Unfortunately, our most recent stay included several service and maintenance issues that impacted the experience. While the staff was courteous, response times were challenging when problems arose. The most significant issue occurred on our final night when multiple fire alarms sounded in our unit for an extended period of time while we were traveling with an infant and toddler. Because maintenance was not immediately available on-site, it took quite some time to resolve the situation. I truly believe our experience would have been very different had maintenance personnel been available on the property to respond more quickly to urgent issues. For a resort of this size and caliber, having faster on-site maintenance support would greatly improve the guest experience and help prevent minor issues from becoming major disruptions. Cinnamon Shore has so much potential to provide an exceptional vacation experience, and I hope management continues investing in the operational side of the resort to match the beauty of the property itself.

Cinnamon Shore seems to think they can do whatever they want and treat people like second-class citizens. To make matters worse, the house we stayed in had cockroaches, which was already unacceptable considering the cost of staying here. Larry and Juan from courtesy patrol then approached and harassed my family over an investigation that none of us were involved in. During the interaction, they were taking photos of me and my family, which made us extremely uncomfortable. When I confronted them about it, Larry responded with, "You're not that sweet, sweetheart," before they became even more disrespectful and unprofessional, eventually calling me and my sister "f***ing ret*rds." What makes this even more disturbing is that I have the entire interaction recorded. I have special needs family members, so hearing that kind of language was beyond offensive and unacceptable. No guest, resident, or homeowner should ever be treated this way, especially by staff or security personnel who are supposed to make people feel safe. After being a loyal guest and homeowner family since 2009, I am honestly shocked and disgusted by the level of harassment, disrespect, and overall experience my family had.

Longing for surf and sand, we scheduled a long weekend in Port Aransas and found a fantastic house within 5 minutes of the beach. "Villa 4 Rita" is dog friendly and can sleep a total of eight. The setup includes two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. An open loft sleeps 4 but it has a low ceiling and the stairs are treacherous. Melissa made our trip fantastic. We got her take on restaurants and took her up on a few of her suggestions. Check in and check out were as easy as the beach breeze.

Not only is there website the most friendly, so are their prices. They never charge hidden fees and they carry mostly mid-range properties. They provide two tabs for dishwasher, a small dish soap, at least two toilet paper rolls, a trash bag, and all of the linens (towels, too). You bring additional of the other if needed - but this is a small price to pay for NO FEES. Getting your key is as easy as stopping by their office (located near the ferry landing). If you arrive after 4pm, there's a drop box and you can pay on your way out. You must put down 1 night deposit (you can use credit card online) and pay full amount when you arrive, but they only accept checks, money orders and cashiers checks up to 2 weeks prior to your stay. Upon arrival you can pay with credit card (although it's very courteous to pay with debit) or cashier's check. We once had several houses booked for a large party so I made sure to bring a cashier's check to avoid the fees. There are very few properties I've not completely loved in the last 5 years of booking with them. If you want an honest opinion about a property - hit me up and I will let you know. TIP: Hang on to your keys - only fees are for lost keys!

The home is advertised as a higher-end Port Aransas vacation rental with amenities such as a private pool and hot tub, but what we experienced did not match what we felt was represented when booking. During our stay, we encountered numerous problems: * Pool was not working and was not clean * Hot tub did not work * Outside stair handle was broken * Back door handle was broken, and doors did not properly work or lock * Master bathroom toilet would not flush properly * Downstairs toilet was loose/wobbly and did not flush properly * Back sliding door would not lock at all * Broken chair on the patio * Wasp nests around the patios * Trash around the perimeter of the property * Refrigerator would not shut properly and the light did not work * Dishwasher smelled terrible * Open cereal/food was left in the cabinets * Most concerning, bunk-bed steps came loose while a child was climbing them Some of these are inconveniences, but others are legitimate safety and security concerns, especially doors that do not lock and bunk-bed steps failing while a child is using them. When families spend their hard-earned money on a vacation rental, especially one advertised at this level, they should reasonably expect the major amenities to work and the property to be clean, secure, and properly maintained. The location has a lot of potential, but based on the condition we experienced, we cannot recommend 845 Park Place in Port Aransas without significant improvements being made. Our biggest disappointment wasn't that one or two things went wrong -- things happen. It was the number of problems throughout the property and the feeling that many of them should have been caught before guests were ever allowed to check in.

The Dancing Dunes in Port Aransas is a true gem. My family of 4 has been coming here for several…read moreyears and our 3 night stay was memorable. This time around my sister and brother in law and thier kids also came along for the first time. Becky the property manager greeted us as we arrived at our 4pm check-in. She explained everything in detail and walked us through the cabin and made us feel very welcomed. The unique one story cabins are arranged in a horseshoe configuration and are named according to their theme, and in the middle a beautiful courtyard is shared with gueats. We actually stayed in their latest newly remodeled two story cabin called The Marlin. It's located right next to the main property. At night it's very safely lit and your vechicals are parked under the structure. It sleeps 10 with two full baths and all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. It has a second story large balcony and a small third story balcony as well. Access to the beach is at walking distance or a short drive. After hurricane Harvey the cabins sustained damage and there was even a waterline marker when the storm surge came in. After alot of hard work and tireless vollenteers the newly remodeled cabins are better than ever. Becky was even kind enough to show us inside The Rock and Roll cabin and the remarkable improvements they made. The Dancing Dunes is highly recommend which ever cabin you stay in. Unfortunately, our experience with Port A Escape was extremely disappointing, and the condition of…read morethe property was far below what we expected from a professionally managed vacation rental. The first thing we noticed was a strong mildew smell throughout the property. Multiple members of our family woke up each morning with sinus irritation and sore throats. Those symptoms improved after we left the condo for the day and returned again after spending the night there. We cannot say whether mold was present without testing, but there were also areas of bubbled paint and visible evidence of previous water damage, which made the persistent mildew odor particularly concerning. The property is advertised as a three-story condo, which is technically accurate, but the first floor is unfinished and largely unusable as living space. Unfortunately, this is also where guests are expected to do laundry. During our stay, there was a dead mouse on the floor in this unfinished area. The air conditioning was another major problem. For multiple days, we could not get the condo to cool below approximately 76°F, despite the September Texas heat. The exterior AC unit is visibly extremely rusted and deteriorated. There were numerous other maintenance and cleanliness issues. The kitchen sink is heavily stained, the floor grout is badly discolored, furniture is sunken/collapsing, and some of the kitchen cabinets cannot open normally because they scrape against the wall. The refrigerator also cannot open fully because of its placement against the wall. The sliding shower doors do not appear to be properly anchored. Several doors are difficult to open and close, and the master bedroom has what appears to be a bifold closet-style door being used as the bedroom door, with a pull only on the inside. The beds were extremely hard, and the master mattress has a pronounced V-shaped depression toward the middle, making it particularly uncomfortable. Outside, the palm trees were so overgrown across the entrance that we had to move/remove palm fronds ourselves just to comfortably access the property. The house numbers are obscured from the street by the vegetation and are themselves coming loose from the wall. The overall cleanliness was also disappointing for a rental that is supposed to be professionally cleaned between guests. We paid a $200+ cleaning fee, yet the property did not appear thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. Guests are additionally instructed at checkout to take out all trash, load and start the dishwasher, and reset the AC. We were also uncomfortable with the check-in process. We were told that check-in instructions would be provided on the day of arrival, but did not realize this meant we would receive essentially no access information until the property was actually ready around 4 p.m. Because we had a roughly 7-hour drive and were arriving on a holiday, we had to leave home without having the information needed to access the rental and simply trust that it would arrive later that day. The 4 p.m. check-in time itself was expected; the lack of clarity about when access instructions would actually be provided was the issue. Any one of these things might have been a relatively minor inconvenience, but taken together, they point to a property that needs substantial cleaning, maintenance, and repair before continuing to be rented in its current condition. The mildew odor and associated physical symptoms, inability to adequately cool the property, dead mouse in the laundry area, deteriorated furnishings, improperly functioning doors/fixtures, and general state of maintenance went well beyond cosmetic complaints. We took photographs documenting many of these conditions during our stay. Based on the condition of the property we received compared with what we reasonably expected from the listing and the cleaning/management fees charged, we would not rent this property again and cannot recommend it in its current condition.

Several were up for sale. There was a community pool with close walking distance. We never used it, but it seemed nice. The best part was the proximity to the beach. In my opinion, it was too far from both Port A and Corpus Christi, but overall I was upset by it. Just had to have designated drivers in place since we were on vacation and had 11 of us altogether. It's almost pitch dark on the road at night and there aren't many passing zones with it being a 2-lane highway. Find your group and have a good time, y'all!

Deep enough to get a full soak which was great after a long drive. It was attached to a one bedroom efficiency which also had a refrigerator and kitchen appliances. The property is RIGHT on the beach! Plenty of rooms to choose from. You can book a one bedroom condo and add two additional (attached) one bedroom efficiencies which also have bathrooms, kitchen appliances and a full refrigerator. Great for large groups. Everyone can stay together and still have privacy. They also have laundry facilities on site and in some of the condos. AND they welcome dogs! $25 per dog per night. We had boarded our dogs. Next time they are coming with us! The property is within walking distance to a restaurant too. Great HEATED pool and jacuzzi as well. Special shout out to MIRANDA who assisted us with finding the right room for a return visit. Coordinated with other staff to show us three options for our next stay in May.
