I really love the look of this restaurant! The decor with the palm trees is so fun! We recently visited here again after a short hiatus and it just really seemed like it had gone downhill. The service was just OK. Our server was very sweet, but we had to flag her down twice for drink refills. There was never enough chips on the table. And the food was just somewhat OK. We had tacos and the beef was not very good . I had to force myself to eat it because I really didn't want to, but I had paid quite a bit for it so I felt like I needed to go ahead and eat it. Went there with my granddaughters today. They tried to order off kids menu even though they are older than 12. Waitress told us that they could not order from it even though we were there two weeks ago, per management. Said could order 1/2 order of quesadillas and would be close to the same price. The kids menu was for cheese and she ordered them the chicken. Got the bill and 1/2 order of chicken was 9.59 and charged for bowl of rice 2.70. That was not about the same price! Could have ordered full cheese quesadillas for a bit over $10 or full chicken for around $12.50. Very disappointed with our server and lack of knowledge or understanding when we asked them about the difference. Won't be back for a while. read more

I enjoy the Chuy's chain. The food is solid. I can recommend the steak burrito with hatch green chile sauce. It is spicy and if that is not for you then ask them to put queso on it instead. I think the refried beans are very good. I love the jalapeno ranch dressing and if you ask they will bring some out for you to use as a dip. If you are really hungry order the Elvis combo as it is a lot of food. The salsa is not my favorite as I prefer it to be more of a liquid instead of almost like pico. My wife likes the steak quesadilla and gets them almost every time. The service was good and the restaurant clean. The decor is typical Tex Mex restaurant and of course with concrete floors and not much to soak up the sound it will be loud. One of the best Tex Mex and you should give it a try. read more

Some I saw at El Charito (El Chico now) the menus almost always have the same items on the.. Chuy's Is Good Food. It is a place you'll enjoy. Service is good. Full bar all the usuall drinks Tea, sodas etc. At times you may see a strolling Trubador walking the restaurant and playing a tune. We moved from TX and this was our first OKC Chuy's visit! So happy we did!! Same Chuy's decor/vibe. I love that so much! Food was great. Fresh. Hot. Baja shrimp tacos had a slaw that was to die for!! Short Version: Stick to Chuys for the salad, chips and dips, and their AMAZING tres leches cake. Just know you'll be waddling to the car and praying for some tums about 3 hours later. But, heartburn aside, WORTH IT! Explained: This place used to be my favorite place to go in Norman. Fresh salads, fantastic chip and salsa(s) as well as queso, and plenty of Tex mex options. Realistically, I'd give this one a 3.5 but am rounding down because it's just not the same as it used to be. Tonight, we started off with queso and the creamy jalapeño salsa (my favorite). The downside started with the tortillas- too floured and dry without even rolling. Once rolled they just cracked like dense chips. This could've been because we went a little later in the evening but still, I wanted my dang tortillas soft and fresh. The main course included a salad for my guest and a beef burrito for me. The fresh salad is now what I know I must stick to. Don't stray from the greens and homemade bowl-- they are your life line. Unfortunately, as the burrito eater- the ground beef recipe seems to have changed since last year and it's got too much oil and bell pepper pieces in the mix. Still has a decent taste but the overall effect just isn't as yummy as it used to be. Don't even get me started on drinks- I can get such a better buzz next door at Teds for about $3 bucks cheaper. While a small detail, college students gotta cut it down while they can. Still love this place and won't cross it off the list completely. It's Tex-Mex and not that good IMO. Staff is engaging and prompt, the atmosphere after 5pm is way to loud. Don't care for the chunky salsa wish it was blended more (just me), I do enjoy the jalapeño ranch dip and queso. I don't care for the sauces as to me it's too commercial. I was feeling all the good vibes here! We had our dogs with us in the car and needed a bite to eat, then Chuy's came to the rescue! I love their patio! Why has no one posted any pictures of it on here?! It's okay. I got you. As you can see in my pics, it's festive, spacious, covered, and it's also dog friendly! Coworker recommended this place so we decided to stop in. The place has funky decor (super fun dog portraits). The salsa actually had a kick, so that was a nice surprise. We found everything to be tasty. I actually ate my leftovers, which doesn't typically happen. I read through some of the other reviews and can also confirm the staff are very nice. After a short wait with an understaffed host station but the girl was doing the best she could.... Previously we have had dynamite Service and that continued.. I will rate our visit a 4 star because of service alone! Jaeylin (sorry about spelling) rocked it out. She kept our table full on drinks, chips and salsa/cream jalapeno ranch dip! She was simply awesome!. Next order of business was our wait for main entree. We had yummy queso to start and then........ slowly the table wondering what happened to our order I inquired with Laura and she went to check time that we placed order...28 mins had gone by. She went to check on it and 3 mins later she appears with our main dish..... So on this visit Laura comped our entree and I wanted Laura to know that we appreciated the generosity and the dynamite service from Jaeylin.... We have been digging this curbside service during the pandemic. They are offering easy online ordering and family packs as well that are decently priced for sure. We actually ordered one nacho kit a couple weeks ago and fed all 5 of us. 3 teenagers and 2 adults! Those were $20 i think which was awesome. We ordered these chicken fajitas double sized this last week and the only thing i had to complain was that the tiny queso pictured cost us $5 which was ridiculous. Like seriously. Dumb. I was disappointed big time because i love it. I also thought they should have given us 2 jalapeño ranches like they did the salsa since we ordered for 2. But other than that everything was cooked perfect and we loved it. A little pricey queso but the double fajitas were decent prices. This leads to tonight. We were grilling chicken and shrimp at home after a long day of hiking but I was craving some jalapeño ranch for a salad and then though I'd get some chips and queso/salsa for the sides too. I ordered a 16oz of each: salsa, queso & jalapeño ranch. It cost me $34! They didn't fill the containers up either. So next time I'll just order the smaller and get the nacho kit probably because that was the best for the money. They keep their 4 stars though because of two things: -the service/servers have been on point. Kind and so accommodating. I have enjoyed that! & -the food has been so fresh and so good!!! I could not even eat. We left. The ladies restroom was disgusting. There was trash all over the over the entire bathroom. All the stalls were messed up. The one I did go in had a questionable liquid going down the wall. The main trash was overflowing. The manager seemed to not even care. We left because I couldn't be sure how the rest of the restaurant was. I don't see us going back anytime soon. read more
