First time here. We will be back! It's deceivingly roomy inside with an open airy feel. It can be loud but not intolerable. Still has China Virus spacing so lots of room between the tables. We had Caprese to start. Could have used more seasoning (vinegar and olive oil) but was overall good. The salads were fresh and the Caesar's was quite tasty. We had the baked ziti (excellent and a huge portion) and Cavatelli with sausage and broccoli. The sausage was well seasoned but the cavatelli was just a little bland. As this was the first time for the dish as well I will give it a passing grade. Prices were not outlandish, the service was prompt and friendly. Bill for two was $60. Casa Calamari was not a good experience. We had a lovely day at the beach and the day came to our demise when we dinned here. The man showing us to our table didn't say a word to us and gave us quite a wobbly table. It took almost 30 minutes for our drink orders and another 20 minutes to receive the drinks. It then took an hour from the time we got there to get our food. Now listen, the food was bussin, the service, not so much. Had a great dining experience here Friday night. It was out first time at this restaurant, and we wanted Italian food as our plans to go to Sole had fell through. The salad was so fresh! Sorry I find fresh salad a good thing, not pre made in a fridge. My wife has the lasagna and I had the Chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Both very good! Good luck getting you food in a timely manner. We were the only people in the place and placed our order at 6:30 and got our soup 45 minutes later. Now at 7:30 still nothing. The food was absolutely delicious however heather our waitress was rude, not talkative and looked like she wanted nothing to do with our table or our money, the bus people left our dirty dishes from the appetizer all over the table and never removed a thing we had to ask them to take our used plates which is terrible when your a waiter or waitress, they looked at us scolding my and didn't care at all. After we ate as we were leaving they didn't say thank you for coming or anything like that instead looked at us like we were scum. Got very good pizza there a while back when we were renting nearby. Always meant to try it for dinner. Finally got around to it and glad we did. The staff was happy and attentive. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. We have dined there a few times. It has become one of our favorites. Spacious and clean dining area and a nice bar. Literally one of the worst experiences we have had eating out in the area. We arrived at 7 and we were seating in the lobby....like they made a table for us in the lobby (it's not that it was super crowded but there isn't a ton of seating.) We were the only table seated in the lobby. They did tell us they were short staffed but that did not prepare us for the dinner that we had. To start, no one came to take our drink order for 15 mins, and they only came that soon because we went and asked about ordering drinks. After we ordered, it was another 15-20 mins before we got our drinks. When we ordered drinks, we of course also ordered apps and our food all at once since the whole restaurant only had 1 waitress. Our apps came out after we had been there almost an hour and we didn't have plates, drink refills etc. We again had to get up and ask the people working at the take out area for these items. Then 5 of the 7 meals we ordered came out about 1.5 hours after us being there and it wasn't until 45 mins after that that the other 2 meals came out. Of the 7 meals we ordered. 4 were pizzas and 2 of those were the 2 meals that didn't come out until 45 mins after all the other meals. When it did finally come out, one of those pizzas was half the size of the others. All were supposed to be the same size. At this point we has been there almost 2.5 hours and 2 of us were eating alone since everyone else had gotten their food 45 mins prior. We were frustrated and irritated. To top all of this off....the food was only ok (not that it would have made it worth it). When our bill finally came, they had charged us $10 more for the margarita pizza (which ironically enough happened to be the smallest one). It did have chicken added to it but that was only supposed to be $2 more. After getting the manager (who was only just indifferent...not apologetic or empathic for the experience) and having to show her the pizza and the price on the menu, we did get it for free. Due to us getting 1 of the 7 meals for free I thought about giving it 2 stars....but it still didn't deserve it. When we walked out it was 9:57.....almost 3 freaking hours and we ate at 9:30. Since we were in the lobby we watched LOTS of people come in and order or wait to be seated or whatever and end up leaving. They have 2 entrances which is super confusing and off putting. They also have a take out area....based on the 3 hour wait, they should stick to dine in or take out, they can't handle both. One person said he waited 45 mins for his bill. Almost everyone coming out said it would be their last time and that it was a bad experience. I for one can 1000% confirm we will never be back. Expensive, extremely slow, bad management, only okay food, and horrible atmosphere (at least in the lobby). At least the 1 waitress they had was nice and was trying. read more

My husband and I had dinner here during the Grand Opening. The location was convenient. There was adequate parking for the crowd but would be tight if there was a full house. The decor was average. The temperature within the restaurant was comfortable. There was a vast menu offering appetizers, salads, kids meals, main course, carne, sides, sandwiches for lunch, dessert, pasta, seafood, and gourmet pizzas. We started our meal with side salads. The salad consisted of spinach, matchstick carrots, and 2 bites of tomato. It was an enticing view. For dressings we had the options of Italian, ranch, or blue cheese. We choose Italian. Unfortunately the dressing lacked acid which created an oily taste to the salad. Neither of us ate them. The Italian bread was an average grocery store variety served room temp with a side of olive oil, garlic, a drizzle of balsamic and herbs. We ordered fried green tomatoes. They were doughy with a soft tomato. The tomato tasted ripened without the strong green tomato taste. I used my phone flashlight to verify they were indeed green tomatoes. The spaghetti with meatballs was served with linguini. My husband said the dish was good. He's a salt-aholic. He didn't need to add seasoning which is a first for him. I had the chicken parmigiana served with linguini, topped with marinara and a small amount of parmesan. The chicken was cooked nicely with a crispy crust and juicy interior. Unfortunately the chicken and pasta were too salty for me. Danielle took excellent care of us during our meal. We ordered take out cheesecake and chocolate cake. The cheesecake was a small portion with freshly whipped cream on the side. It was average. The chocolate cake was very tasty with freshly whipped cream on the side. The restrooms were sparkling clean. They offer delivery and take out. They also accept reservations. You can order online with the slice app. Our expectations were not met at this restaurant. Had it not been the Grand Opening with 50% off of everything, we would have felt even more let down. read more
