Casa Cody is a very cool boutique hotel that captures that old school Palm Springs style. It has that historic 1950s vibe, with things being built by hand. You can definitely tell it's been around for a long time and it was very cool to think about all of the different people that have stayed there over the past century. Apparently, it was founded in the early 1900s by a relative of Buffalo Bill. I stayed in a one bedroom suite, and it was nice as shown in my pictures. The room was tastefully appointed and the bed was reasonably comfortable. It had the classic Spanish tile flooring and Adobe walls, along with a southwestern theme. Everything functioned well and the room was cool even though it was hot outside. They also had a small continental breakfast available in the morning that was actually early enough (7 a.m.) to be useful for somebody who has to go out on business. I enjoyed the Greek yogurt and other offerings. The price was fairly reasonable, and I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a unique place to stay that has all of the normal comfort you would expect from a larger hotel. This is my second time staying here, and unfortunately, the upkeep has slipped. For the price point, the management needs to pay attention to all the little details. This makes me so sad because I love this place so much, but I will consider other options when I'm in Palm Springs again. The pool was full of bugs and leaves, the hot tub water was discolored and old, the TV in my room didn't work, the shower head in my room went in random directions and had very poor pressure and the breakfast offerings were undercooked. The food for order was subpar and you can walk a few blocks for far better options. read more

I can't say enough great things about our stay or the property but I'll try. The enclosed, quiet, expansive property is adjascent to the heart of PS, but feels miles away when the gate closes. So charming, so homey, with a beautiful backdrop of the mountain range and clear blue sky (& stars!). The staff (Gabi & McKenzie) were incredibly kind and attentive, really making us feel at home, and the Olympic Cottage was just perfect for our little family. It's definitely on our list for easy get aways (from LA) that can be only 48 hours but feel like a week... We've returned blissed out, relaxed and I'm fairly confident my son spent more time in the Market Pool than out. Can't wait until next time. read more

I am a regular in Palm Springs and this definitely one of my favorite spots. Casa Cody is a lovely little gem in the heart of Palm Springs. You feel miles away from downtown but it's less than a 5 min walk. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are cozy, the atmosphere is quiet, and the staff is incredible. I am currently sitting poolside at CC under the shade of an umbrella with a beautiful view of the mountains. They have complementary coffee in the morning a nice little spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and croissants. They also offer food and drink for purchase and it is delicious (served until 10pm). I love that you can sit poolside and not have to leave for food and drinks. As mentioned, the staff here are so friendly, accommodating, and really make you feel welcome. The wonderful hospitality really sets Casa Cody apart. The rooms are so cute. Some have little back patios which is a nice added bonus. The rooms come with robes, a yoga mat, and even have a steamer for your clothes. The beds and pillows are very comfortable! Many of the rooms open right to one of the two pools. I have recommended Casa Cody to several friends and they have loved it as much as I do! The hotel grounds are perfect - beautiful lush lawns with the backdrop of the desert mountains in the distance & flora. They have 2 pools + one hot tub with beautiful relaxing chairs for laying out. They have grown fruit trees - lemons, grapefruit, figs, oranges that you can pick yourself & they provide a manual juicer. They also have cute cruiser bikes to explore all the neighborhoods of Palm Springs. The food was excellent & the weekend I spent here was one of my most relaxing. Super walkable location to all downtown Palm Springs has to offer. A perk for me was it was dog friendly!!! I would go back in a heartbeat. read more

Didn't enjoy my stay, it was very much a meh experience from the moment I got there. There's probably less than 10 reserved parking spots. And if you're unlucky you have to park down the street. Upon entering there was really no directory so we walked through a gate that led to a pool and almost walked into someone else's room thinking it was the lobby. There were a couple issues with our stay: the shower handle in our room was falling off, a/c was more like a fan - it runs but does not cool and blows directly in your face at night, so many mosquitos through out and the pool was pretty dirty. The night of our stay there was a family that had rooms booked on the other side where the larger pool was. They were playing loud music with a personal speaker so it wasn't the most relaxing situation. Staff walked by and didn't seem to care that there were other guests there also. The only highlight was the complimentary breakfast served from 7-10 with yogurt, croissants, and fresh fruit. We also had an issue with billing afterwards so make sure you check your account. All in all, so relieved that we decided to stay for one night versus two. read more

Spent two wonderful days at the hotel. Booked the extra large studio which was beautifully decorated and it was quite spacious. Beautiful Aesop soaps, lotions, and hair care Staff were warm and helpful. Two heated pools and a lovely secluded hot tub area. Morning continental breakfast was lovely: coffee, croissants, fruit, yogurt, granola. The food from the on site cafe was quite good too, but be prepared for it to take some time. (It's a small hotel with limited staff.). Free on-site parking was sometimes full but there was plenty of street parking right in front of the hotel. The setting and the grounds are lovely, but the parking is limited. The cottage we stayed in was very cramped, outdated and worn. There was practically no closet space. The mat at the front door was threadbare, as were the bathrobes. The kitchenette was very barely stocked and practically useless. There was no place to sit at a desk or a table. There were two Adirondack style chairs which took up too much room and were uncomfortable. It was, overall, hugely expensive and lacking in comfort and amenities. read more

One of the worse experiences I have had. Calling yourself a 4 star hotel more like a 2 star hotel. I stayed there for one night and I was about to check out asap. You have 2 people working the entire hotel it seems. I had to wait for 30 min for the front office person to return form his break or god knows where to check me in. At a 4 star resort I expect someone to take my order by the pool. Not a single staff in sight to take an order. The walls are so thin that I could hear the next door couple coughing a storm and I could not sleep. I understand this is a landmark so why not just close the hotel and make it a museum because it should not be a place where you charge people for a shitty experiences. Total rip off!!!! read more

This is a beautiful, historic hotel with an incredible staff. Specifically, Edwin - he was very accommodating, friendly, knowledgable and went out of his way to make sure our stay was great. The grounds are stunning - nestled right up against the mountains, every minute of the day provides a unique perspective with the lighting and shadows. They are spacious but contained, and it feels secluded even though it's a block from the heart of town. The hotel itself is the first hotel in Palm Springs and it has era-specific Mission elements including a wonderful adobe suite & smaller adobe unit. We stayed in a one-bedroom 'villa' which was well-appointed, and had a full kitchen, Smeg refrigerator, and nice patio. The Olympic Cottage is gorgeous with herbs & vegetables growing on-site that are actually utilized in the hotel's delicious food. Ditto for the fresh fruit - oranges, lemon, grapefruit - that are available to guests and can be juiced by hand, either by the staff or with provided juicer. It is also worth noting that manager Santiago is very helpful & friendly as well. Really a great environment all around. Also, dog friendly!!!! We had such a great time and the grounds, rooms, & staff are A+. Highly recommended. read more

Pleasant. Walkable to downtown, although on a scorching hot day (like when I stayed) you may still wana at least ride a bike. Nice staff, beautifully remodeled reception area, two pools, bikes, hot tub, easy parking, delightful complimentary breakfast. My room opened up to both pools as it was positioned between them which was a nice surprise to me. My only gripe or the one I can think of is the grass. It needs help, or maybe just to be replaced with artificial turf. It's pretty sad. Also, this isn't a complaint but rather just an fyi, my friend and I (late 30's) were seemingly the youngest guests there. Just something to note. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend. read more

Wow this is definitely a beautiful luxury boutique hotel in SoCal, Palm Springs! We stayed in a king suite corner with a kitchen and patio and loved it. It was absolutely incredibly designed. Sheets and towels from Parachute. The small touches in the room for decor were beautiful. The hotel has two beautiful pools. There is a complimentary breakfast with good dietary restriction options. There are a few items to purchase. The hotel also has booze like wine and beer. This is a dog friendly hotel and our dog loved the grounds and was allowed to come with us to the pool. I can't wait to be back. Hotel staff was great, cleanliness was great, and the location is walking distance to restaurants. We will be back! read more

Absolutely loved this hotel! The staff (Jessica and both Edwins) were amazing! The housekeeping staff needs a raise, our room was spotless. There is so much attention to detail here. There are two pools, the grounds are beautiful and the breakfast in the morning was a nice addition. The orange marmalade for the croissants was so good. Do yourself a favor order the charcuterie tray and add a side of the orange marmalade (you can thank me later). We stayed in the one bedroom (#6). It had a really large living room, a perfectly appointed kitchen, a huge bedroom and a small bath with shower. We loved picking oranges and grapefruits from the trees on the property. Also, I am not sure what their doing but our bedroom smelled so good. We can't wait to come back and are excited to visit their other properties in San Diego, Big Bear and Taos. PROS: Location near town, the property is charming and so clean, the grounds are impeccably maintained and the staff is amazing CONS: The closet is so small. It would be nice if there was a small dresser in the bedroom to store clothes. FEEDBACK: The owner's son/daughter booked one side of the hotel for all of their friends. Every guest who was enjoying the serenity of the pool Thursday were chased away in the afternoon by these kids who were out of control. They were dropping F bombs every other sentence, were so loud, and waking around with huge vodka bottles and stacking empty cans poolside. Every guest left the pool after their arrival. I talked to the staff about it and was told "we can't really say anything to them, it's the owner's kid". I would ask the owner to talk to their child and teach them how to READ THE ROOM and have some respect for the guests at the hotel. It was rude and completely disrespectful. This is clearly not a party resort and the fact that they had no regard for the guests and the staff is concerning. read more

We had the pleasure of being guests at Casa Cody while our home was being extensively renovated. It's easy to fall in love with the rustic desert charm of CC's, what with the amazing sunsets over Mt. San Jacinto, the cozy bungalow-style rooms, the legitimately tasty room service meals, the quaint but lovely amenities, and the easy access to downtown Palm Springs. But what really separates CC is the impeccable service and hospitality extended by the entire staff. The kindness and creative problem solving shown by the staff was truly above and beyond. We were traveling with three cats and a teen wheelchair user which could have been fraught with difficulties but CC accommodated us marvelously. When our renovation dragged on past our checkout time, CC actually allowed us to stay an entire extra day despite the fact that they themselves were conducting their own renovations. They had no reason to do this but we are beyond grateful that they did. We're natives now but I would recommend Casa Cody to any and all travelers visiting the area. I am not a big review writing kind a guy but after my stay at Casa Cody, I felt compelled to offer my review. In the past have often been a guest of The Parker but with no availability for the dates I was staying in Palm Springs, I was forced to locate a different spot to chill and decompress. Casa Cody is a very special place and this will be my spot in future escapes to Palm Springs. The rooms are actually more luxurious than the Parker and the service is multiple times better. Kennet and Diana were more professional and attentive than I have experienced in 5 star luxury retreats that cost triple. Seriously, no exaggeration! I felt they sincerely cared about offering the best possible treatment. Every detail was taken care of. The multiple pools and secluded location with the backdrop of the mountains in the back was something magical. The place was completely renovated and the investment can be felt in every detail. Seriously folks, even breakfast was made with love. In conclusion, if you are looking for a secluded place that makes you feel like a rockstar, then look no further. The hotel cancelled our reservation and when I called to inquire, they said there still was full availability, but were asking us (and all other guests who booked for that weekend) to re-book for $3,000.00 more than the price we had paid because the weekend we were planning our stay was "very busy" and they wanted to "charge guests at a higher price because of it." I've never experienced a hotel doing something like this and find it a pretty bad way to do business. We just returned from an absolutely incredible weekend at Casa Cody in Palm Springs. THE ROOM: We stayed in a gorgeous two bedroom suite right by the pool. The room has a layout that maximizes privacy with the bedrooms on opposite ends and no shared walls. Each bedroom had a ceiling fan, an AC unit, blackout curtains, and spectacular beds which made our stay very comfortable. The charming kitchen was fully equipped with a mini fridge and gas range oven. We brought a cooler filled with ice, which we highly recommend if you plan on storing cold items as the fridge is pretty small. If you plan on cooking, just let the front desk know and they will provide you with whatever you need. Throughout the suite, we noticed great attention to detail and many wonderful design choices, I wanted to ask where every single thing came from so I could look it up and hope to afford it for myself: the rugs, the pool towels, the leather couch, the kitchen chairs, the curtains, the robes, even the dishtowels - it was all so luxurious and lovely. THE PROPERTY: We were all struck by the incredible natural beauty of the grounds. The bougainvilleas were bursting with color and seemed to be the happiest and fullest we'd ever seen. There are also many citrus and old growth trees giving the property great character. Be sure to walk the entire grounds as there is a beautiful fountain and decorative wood-carved art pieces tucked away on one side. There is a big hot tub and two wonderful pools with plenty of umbrellas and comfortable lounge chairs. The atmosphere by the pool is relaxing and calming, exactly what you're looking for if you're just trying to "get away," ideal for reading and sunbathing. LOCATION: It couldn't be better situated. 2 blocks from the Palm Spring Museum of Art, 2 blocks from the center of S. Palm Canyon Drive (the city's main street), and a 15 minute drive from the Aerial Tramway. A very short walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. Be sure to take advantage of the bicycles and take them out for a spin around the area. It's a really flat, bike-friendly town with wide streets and many great mid-century homes all around. They also provide bike locks. STAFF: Helpful, accommodating, never hard to find, and super kind. Whether we needed a bottle opener or extra towels or wanted to use the bikes, they always provided us with wonderful service. I have wanted to stay here for years, every time I would walk by the gate and peek in to see the beautiful secret gardens, old style Adobe courtyard rooms and read the sign about it being the first hotel in PS from 1900. My husband and I finally made it over here for couple of nights when they were not booked out. The front desk was friendly, the grounds lovely and the large clean room with tasteful antique furnishings, a fireplace, and a full kitchen was a real treat, with tile floors and lots of places to set out your luggage. Our room was very quiet, and the bedding was high quality. The bathroom was clean and everything worked but could use some updating on the tub. Breakfast is included in the reasonably priced room rate. A block from the Starbucks or Coffee Bean (catty corner to each other) and the fun part of the PS strip, this place is a jewel. read more

Casa Cody calls itself a B&B but it's not, it's really a hotel with a substandard continental breakfast (a basket of sad fruit, some cereal and bagels/muffins, horrid coffee). Our room was nice, but there wasn't much for utensils in the kitchenette, just a couple of coffee cups (no cups/glasses in the bathroom). There was no closet or other place to hang stuff in our room, which was very strange. Parking is horrible (maybe 10-12 spots for the whole hotel). Also, all but one of the gates to the property (fenced/gated) are locked, which is probably a fire code violation of some sort. The location is great, the property is very nice. If they fixed the details, this would easily get a 5-star review. read more

New owners, less amenities, but more money! We used to come here for years, but not any more. They took out the kitchens, couches, desk/table out of the many of the rooms. So there is no where to eat or use your laptop. They also got rid of the lounge chairs in front of the rooms by the rectangle pool, and took out many of the trees. There was no towel bar in the bathroom, and the shower glass goes up to the ceiling, so there is no where to hang your wet towels. There wasn't enough hot water for the shower, the bed is very hard, and the sheets were rough. The chairs in the room are a super hard wicker, there is no coffee table, just a very small round stool to put your drink/labtop/phone/ipad on. They don't want any lounge chairs moved because the staff said the wheels fall off. I moved one to the covered patio for shade, where they used to have them for over 10 years, and the mgr said it was a safety hazard, even though it left the same clearance to walk by as the prior 10 years. Then the mgr completely blocked the walkway with bikes, but had to move them when the maids couldn't get their carts through. There is no shade at this hotel now. They removed a lot of the trees and the umbrellas only cover about 15% of the lounge at any given time, you can't have a lounge under the patio, and they don't want any of the pool furniture moved. The bill to check out had no total on it. They care more about "their" aesthetic than the comfort of their quests! Don't waste your money here. read more

This place was an absolute gem in every way. The room was equipped with a kitchen in a separate room, that even had a back door. We stayed in room 13 which was just by the pool. There are two pools and this was the bigger one. Breakfast was included and consisted of bagels, cereals, juice and coffee. We also got a bottle of wine! The view from the pool, ah how fantastic. The mountains are close and the garden with lemon trees, flowers and occasional humming birds, was stellar and breath taking. While there, I imagined all the celebrities hanging out there back in the day. It truly has a retro touch and is not recently renovated, just check out the bathroom. Still, it is clean and the retro touch is perfect for such a place. Location is great too, just minutes away from everything. Check out Melvyns for more nostalgia, especially on a Sunday. I had my wedding here this past October and i could not have been happier with everything Casa Cody had to offer! Ashley went above and beyond to help me make my dreams come true. She was so helpful and open to any ideas I had. With the insane rescheduling and shifts of COVID, she made it so easy. All the staff at Casa Cody were a delight! The newly remodeled property still retained all of its historical charm! We had the whole Property to ourselves and all of our guest who stayed there with us continue to rave about it months later about what a magical Time they had! Two pools and a jacuzzi with a dreamy mountain backdrop! I used to love this place as a quiet alternative to the larger hotels in town, but not anymore! In June of this year we booked a few rooms for after Christmas to share with our parents and were looking forward to introducing them to Palm Springs and this picturesque spot. A few days ago (4 months after booking) we noticed a portion of our money was returned to our account. I called today to check what was going on and the chipper girl on the phone said "yep, it looks like that reservation was cancelled because we're now closed for renovations until the end of January.
