I booked a single process color, deep conditioning treatment, haircut, and blow dry with Desiree. I had to reschedule my appointment to an early time then my original 6pm appointment, and the salon confirmed that it would be no problem. I arrived at 1pm, was offered water/coffee/tea by the owner and seated in the waiting area. My friend had an appointment at the same time so we went together, she was taken before me and I was allowed to sit by her while her treatment was done. At about 2:30p I was finally taken by Desiree and my color was put in. Desiree did not make small talk with me as I had seen her do with other clients. All she did was explained that my wait was so long because they were squeezing me in between appointments. My appointment felt like an obligation. Had I known that I would be ignored and given horrible service I would have just come at my regular scheduled appointment. They finally washed the color out of my hair around 4pm because I had to leave an could not stay any longer. I was told to come back for the rest of my services. I made a follow up appointment a week later, I arrived at 5pm for my appointment was greeted by the owner offer water (never acutally got it) then made wait for 30 minutes. Desiree got me later and said she had taken the wrong person back. She seemed to be coloring her own hair at the time. My hair was washed and then I was taken to the styling chair, again no small talk, not even an apology for the wait. Just asked how I wanted my hair cut, I asked for a trim about an inch and a half. I had long hair with long layers, and left the salon with almost shoulder length hair. I could have cried. If any one with long hair reads this they can probably sympathize. You NEVER cut someones hair that short with out making ABSOLUTELY SURE that is what they want. I tried to tell her that I didn't want it that short and all she did was say it she thought it looked cute. She "textured" it because it was such a blunt cut and it looked good from the front. The back of my hair is now even, it went from a nice layered "V" perfect for curling. I will NEVER go back to this salon and will tell every one I know about my horrible experiance. read more

The owner of this establishment is belittling and rude. I had a massage and got a small cramp in my shoulder after the service, which was not a big deal. However, when I inquired about it to the manager she said she had never heard of that happening and made me feel silly for even being concerned. I was not asking for any kind of free service, and technically wasn't even unhappy with the massage, I just wanted to know what was the best way to make it feel better. A hidden gem! The owner Juanita Valencia, opened a day salon and spa for those who are looking for a place that will give you royal treatment. It is private, quiet, and the staff is really friendly! This spa has all types of services from massages, facials, waxing, Botox treatments, hair cuts and styling, and a mini nail spa rolled into one. You would not know that this place would be in existence but if you just take a walk inside you will be mesmerized!!! I go to Juanita for facials and occasional wax treatments. She is awesome with facials and always adds her own extra touches for her clients! For example, she usually gives you a paraffin hand treatment and gives you hand and feet massages after your facial so that you are really relaxed! I also go to her for wax services -- she is quick and ensures that you are well taken care of! Mary Luna is the person I go to for my hair cuts and I have only gotten compliments on my hairstyle! The people that I have recommended to her have had no complaints either. I will def. give this salon "two thumbs up" but it is not for those who are frugal -- you do get what you pay for! It is worth every penny that you spend at this salon. The great thing is that the staff does not push products onto you they only give recommendations so you don't feel so pressured to buy anything. read more

I decided to check out this place as my usual hairdresser was unavailable and I was in desperate need of a haircut & color. Fortunately, a Groupon deal saved the day! Frank Anthony is an amazing hairstylist! My haircut and color came out fabulous! He gave me a recommendation on a color and I totally agreed! I told him I was done with layers (as I typically do not style my hair) and he created some easy to manage layers! He didn't know I had a Groupon so I overheard that he would have charged $105, which is pretty freaking good! My hair is medium length! He said if I returned he would charge $60 for highlights). I might just leave my hair stylist (who I've been going to since 2003) for this guy! He is a pretty cocky stylist but hey he is good at his work, so I guess I can put up with it. This business shares a small parking lot with two other business, there is neighborhood parking near by. They do various other services like waxing, nails, and massages! She is the best and is/will be the only one I allow anywhere near my hair after less than desirable results with others in the past. BEWARE: Poor customer service and Single-process color is only root touch-up at this salon I went in today to redeem a Groupon for a haircut, deep conditioning treatment, single-process color and blow dry. I went with the expectation that the single-process color (to match my natural hair color) was what I needed to cover the bit of gray, however, according to the owner of the salon the single-process color was a root touch up and not the service I required. I showed her on my smart-phone how at least on one website I checked out, a single-process color meant a color or toner which is applied ALL OVER the hair (I looked up several sites which all described it the same, but only showed her one). She restated that a single-process color service covers only the roots. An employee stated that because of the condition of my hair with the "different browns" and having been dyed (I had my virgin hair dyed one color to match my natural hair color two years ago, but because I had not had my hair cut since then, the ends were damaged and lighter than the new hair growth) I needed a different service. Since I could not use the "single-process color" service that the Groupon offered I asked if we could work something out. She refused to and said that I could cancel the Groupon and purchase a new one for just a haircut. I explained that upon check-in I had immediately redeemed the Groupon once she had taken down the voucher number and that canceling the Groupon was not an option. She again refused to work anything out. Oh, as far as the conditioning treatment--an application of a conditioner was massaged in my hair for about 1-2 minutes and immediately rinsed off. If this is their deep conditioning treatment it definitely isn't worth paying extra for this service. The stylist was very kind and apologized for the issue I had. Although my haircut looks alright, she seemed a bit inexperienced and upon finishing stated that I was her first client with curly hair. I only state this because according to the Groupon the services were valued at $190.00. I don't believe anyone should be charged that amount of money to have someone with very little experience provide the service. My family had been patronizing this salon for years, however, there have been changes in this salon the last three months. Many of the stylist (including Jessica whom my daughters used) no longer work here and the salon has also undergone some remodeling and is now about half the size. On the bright side--when I got home I called Groupon and explained the circumstances and they were kind enough to credit my Groupon account with Groupon bucks for the difference. Again my advise: 1) Ask clarification of what is included in the the service you are interested in receiving. 2) Ask what experience the stylist has who will be providing the service. 3) Ask yourself if you really want to support a business where the management is unwilling to work with their clients. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a hot rock mani-pedi. When I called to book and appointment my call was forwarded to an answering machine that provided a different number than the one I called. This was confusing because I was calling during business hours. I did not leave a message as I was not sure I was reaching the salon. The owner Juanita called me back after seeing the missed calls and explained that she had forwarded the salon's calls to her cell phone. This did not make a good first impression. I booked the appointment and arrived a few minutes early. I found parking in the back but had to walk around to the front entrance to get inside as the back door was locked. Once inside the only person at the front counter was the girl who sells the jewelry on display, I had to wait until a woman came from the back and when I said that I had made an appointment, she said that I had spoken to her. She offered me coffee and invited me to sit in the waiting area to wait for Desiree. A young woman arrived and asked if I had been helped. She did not identify herself until I stated that I was waiting for Desiree, then she stated that she was Desiree and would be right with me. She asked me to follow her to a room and asked me to pick out a color for my nails. I asked if they offered gel polish and she said that they did at an additional $15.00. I agreed and selected the color. Desiree was quiet and not very talkative, which is okay with me. She did an excellent job on my nails, although the toes are not quite the same color as the fingers, the match is close enough. The hand and foot massage was great and I felt very relaxed after the service was completed. I appreciated that she did my manicure first and then the pedicure, much more relaxing for me. When it was time to leave, Desiree only asked for the Groupon bar code information, I had to remind her that I owed her money. I was glad that I had cash on me as the owner had left and no one in the salon knew how to process a credit card transaction. They stated that only the owner could do that. Even with that I was fortunate that one of the staff had change for me as I only had a large bill and Desiree did not have enough on her to provide me with the correct amount of change. I enjoyed my services, but I think that if the salon wants to have a "high end" status and attract clients that want high end services, and are willing to pay the high end prices, then they should make sure that clients are able to call and book an appointment during business hours with a live person, and there is some one in the salon that can process the clients payment when they are ready to leave. read more

Casa Bellini is a beautiful salon, clean, well kept and thankfully not too crowded. The lady that does nails, Kay, is the best. Her mani's and pedi's last a really long time. I have gotten facials & microdermabrasion there and have not been disappointed, but unfortunately that person is no longer there. The new estitician can do a wicked eyebrow wax, I'm not kidding, it can take a couple yrs off your face! The facials are a little high priced, I wish they would bring down the prices some. Parking is in the back, and there is also a back entrance, as well as front entrance on Whittier Blvd. You can't park on Whittier Blvd. I have a Gift Cert for a massage so I will add onto this review once I I use it. read more

Worst experience ever!!! Decided to try this place because of the good reviews and it's close by. Went in for a trial make up appt for my upcoming wedding. I didn't ask over the phone what the price was for the trail make up session. Come to find out it's 65+15 for lashes. The make up artist didn't listen to one word I said and didn't give me an option to see the progress as she went (which I mentioned I wanted). The finished product was dark and not what I asked for. The owner came and asked how I liked it and I tried to be as honest as I could. I am in tears because I can't believe I spent this much money to wipe it all off. Never again. I LOVE getting my pedicures from Kay. Her work is amazing. The salon is clean, friendly and you feel comfortable because the area for pedicures and manicures is private so you don't have to see people getting their hair cut or anyone else for that matter. The parking lot is behind which can get packed on Saturdays due to the fitness center a few doors down. I also got strayed tan this past summer.
