First time here! Cozy little place on Hadley, I was lucky to snag a appointment a day before with Mario. Do call in advance they only take appointments. I went in with my hair feeling dry and limp and left very happy. He is gentle and asks lots of questions to know exactly what kind of cut you'd like. This is the one I've been looking for. They are not open to ask questions or to talk to someone about your hair! Most people want to show you their hair and ask for suggestions and pricing but if you can't talk to someone it a waste of time and you'd rather go somewhere else! read more

It upsets me to leave this review but I want to share my experience with The Loft- or should I say lack of experience. I was looking for a place to get highlights and Uptown Whittier has quite a few salons to choose from. I chose this salon as the salon looked clean & the photos on their Yelp page looked exactly like what I wanted done. SO, I try to book an appointment. No booking options through the app. I try to call them a few times, no answer. I go in person, super hard to find! After finding the building, I try to walk up and the door is closed and locked during hours they are scheduled to be open. I hear voices inside so I am under the impression they purposely ignored my knocking and let the phone ring endlessly. I try to call later & left my name & number in a voicemail. My call was never returned. I really don't see a reason they would treat potential customers this way. I went to J. Anthony salon on Greenleaf instead & had an amazing experience. Places like The Loft shouldn't be kept in business if they can't support our locals in a timely and professional manner! read more

I have suffered from breakouts since I was 18 years old and I've tried almost everything but nothing really worked for me until I went to Eva. If you're looking for a great hair experience, The Loft is where you need to go! I have been going to Corinne for a few years now, and I have loved every haircut. I work in an office and am currently getting my teaching credential, so it is important for me to look and feel professional and confident. Corinne makes that happen every time I see her. While the salon is cozy, it has a fresh and airy atmosphere. Instead of feeling lost in the crowd at a larger salon, I always feel welcomed and remembered. Corinne is great with special requests and is always open to trying new things with hair. I always feel comfortable talking with her about trying new styles and even asking for changes during haircuts (though I don't do that very often because I usually love what she does). The salon also does hair for wedding parties - Corinne helped with my wedding and did a fabulous job. The Loft also has one or two nail stations, though I haven't gotten my nails done before so can't really comment.
