Empanadas: Beef, Chicken, Cheese & Guava

Only one server, great service, very friendly. The meats, from the fried chicken, fried pork and inside the sancocho were very bland and dry. Excellent fried yuca, very crispy, & yummy tostones from the platter. The sauce from the mofongo and the shrimp were cooked perfectly!

Music filled the room and we discussed options. A few minutes later our server returned to check on us. She was friendly and attentive throughout our dining experience. I shared this was my first time having Dominican food. She explained the food was flavorful without being too spicy. I decided on the Pollo Guisado- Braised chicken with full or flavor. The chicken included 2 thighs and a leg and was extremely tender and was served with the choice of White Rice and Beans or Moro and a small salad. The chicken had a flavorful sauce over it when served. I did ask for an additional side to use with the chicken and rice. My wife had Chuleta al Sarten - Grilled pork chops. The meal included 2 pork chops and the same side options as mine. The pork was tender and blended well with the Moro rice. She also added some of the sauce I got to her dish. Service was great and the meals were under $20 each. Looking forward to my next visit when I think I will try one of the sea food or beef options.

My mouth was salivating as I was waiting for the shrimp to cook for my Coconut Curry Shrimp Bowl. The smell was amazing! Last year the line was so long, so this year we decided to come to the fest earlier, and so grateful we did so we could taste the flavors of the Caribbean! The bowl was absolutely delicious! If you do not find them at a festival or at the Downtown Phoenix, Farmers Market or Town Scottsdale Farmers Market, keep in mind they do not have a storefront. They are pre-order only, and their meals are served chilled grab and go, but hot upon request. Once you pre-order, you can pick up your meals M - F from 10 AM to 7 PM, Check out the menu online. There is a seating area to wait for your food, and plenty of seating. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. The gentleman that greeted us was super friendly and helpful. One of the things that I immediately lived about this place was that many of the dishes have sizes. I almost never finish a regular size plate, and ordered the smaller serving size, which was still a lot of food (my son has to finish mine for me). The portions were quite large. I loved the little extra touch of the flower garnish. I ordered the jerk chicken with fried plantains. This jerk chicken comes in a sauce, rather than the dry rub you sometimes see in jerk chicken. It was soooo yummy and so tender it literally just fell off the bone. The fried plantains were also delish. My son had the curry. He loved it! I think this place is well loved, as there was a constant stream of people coming in to pick up food while we were there.
