Service good. Food good. Nice variety. Good portions. Our waitress was really nice and was helpful. She really wanted to make sure that we enjoyed the food.

Ambiance is preceeded by the tunes being played. Upbeat music with that Latin flare. Tasty entrees done well. Everything smelled so good and arrived to the table quickly. The Mofongo is good with those crunchy bites of chicharrone. Shrimp cooked right. Chicken pieces were really good. The Moro is not much different from dirty rice, per my dining companion. My Sangria was okay but I probably wouldn't order it again. Made me think more like a juice than a wine cocktail. It was really slow on the day we visited but there was a regular stream of people getting food to go.

So I visited Mambo's for the first time today for lunch. I started with the Quipe appetizer (deep fried ground beef onions pepper) and it was small but very good. I then tried the fried green plantains and they are pretty good but needed a dipping sauce. I then had Bistec Guisado (braised beef) with Moro rice and a salad. The beef was very tender and was loaded with great flavors. Highly recommend you order this lunch special. There was only was server when they opened but I didn't feel like I was waiting too long and the food came out pretty quick. The place is in a strip mall and you might miss it driving by but it is worth the effort to find! Give them a try and I think you will enjoy! "FIMP" Food is my Passion

The food here is really great! I tired Quipe for the first time and it was delicious! Empanada was also great! The raspberry soda was really cool as well. Tried the Steak Sandwich with fries and it was absolutely delicious! Fries were crispy and not excessively salty. They play really happy and upbeat music as well. The server was super friendly and attentive.

My second home as of 2023 has been the beautiful Dominican Republic. The months I'm unable to travel back there, I'm extremely grateful that the BEST Dominican restaurant out of the entire East Valley (possibly all of AZ too), is literally down the street from my AZ home. The beginning of my pregnancy led me to order their Sancocho since I was craving my mother-in-law's cooking. Apparently they only make Sancocho here on Sundays, so I got to try their regular chicken soup on Saturday and came back the next day to get their Sancocho. I would say the flavors curbed my craving. I do want to come back and actually try their other entrees. Like I wonder what their mangu tastes like, that'll be another true test as well. Service every time here has been friendly and warm (that's very typical of the Dominican culture). Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Now that the weather is cooling off I'm sure their patio will be packed on busy nights.

First time here and the staff were kind and friendly. Customer service was excellent. The food was good and the portions were generous. The cheese empanadas were a favorite for us. We will return and very much recommend this place.

Feeling like having grandma's food by the beach! Nice little spot in Chandler with great selection of food and dedicated servers making your experience tasty and comfortable! Keep it up! viva el caribe!

Food ok, they didn't have wat i wanted, no chivo, no Morro rice, so I had to settle for beef , service was gud enuff, wife had the mofongo con shrimp, needed more garlic, we only came because it kept coming in her insta feed, we have been there and done that now

This place was a 10 out of 10!! Highly recommend! It was so clean and the staff was super friendly. My 1st time eating Dominican food and I am hooked !! If I could have given more stars I would have!

Another chance to try something new brought me to Mambo's and I enjoyed ever moment. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we saw the most handsome men!!!! First impression is "Wow, there's eye candy already and we haven't had food yet!" Seriously, the service was amazing and the food was top notch! Our waitress even gave us a shot of mama-juana (if you've been to the DR you know all about this) and it was the smoothest tasting mama-juana I've ever had! Dangerous drink that will have you feeling some type of way!!! I ordered the pollo guisado and it was so flavorful and fall off the bone tender. The moro (rice with peas or beans) was the perfect accompaniment to the chicken. I wanted to eat half of it just so I could have some more for the late late night treat. The sweet plantains were amazing as well. I could go on and on. I highly recommend treating yourself to Mambo's and even if you can't travel to DR right now, give your taste buds the experience!

This restaurant is a great opportunity to try Dominican food and hospitality. You should try the Santo Domingo coffee, juices and passion fruit drink. If you like falafel, you must try the quipes which I love. They are moist and juicy since they have meat, and the chimmichuri sauce is fantastic. The server was friendly and our order arrived in a timely manner. My friend ordered the chimi burger and it also had melted cheese on top of the bun. He loved it and he received a generous portion of fries. The pollo guisado is a "plato típico" or how traditionally or typically the dish is prepared or served in DR. It comes with white rice or with beans which can be drier. The decor will remind anyone of the island's love of vibrant colors, and love for sports. The country produces lots of baseball players and other sports athletes. The food is not spicy so it is a great place to enjoy the Latin culture, mudic, food and hospitality.

This restaurant is really amazing overall. The food was super filling and flavorful. I loved the empanadas as they were super soft and juicy on the inside. The main dish was pretty filling and could feed two people if you are wanting to get a lot of other food. There are so many great options it was hard to choose what to eat. I also recommend getting one of the smoothies, I got a mango smoothie and it was so creamy and delicious I drank it so fast. Our server was super sweet and quick to bring out our food. This place has such a great ambiance with latin music playing in the background and families enjoying their food. We didn't have any issues eating here and we will definitely be coming back again! I recommend this place if you want to try caribbean food and have a good time:)

Glad I arrived when I did because several groups came in after seating myself. It looks like street parking and adjacent businesses have spaces which might be available otherwise. Atmosphere 3/5 Although I enjoyed the artwork, this is essentially a small fast food like restaurant. Very small dining room with awful acoustics. Guests of more than two bring the conversation level fairly high and the group of five who arrived behind me had the place uncomfortably loud. It reminded me of my ASU Chuck Box days. Service 4/5 Being my first visit I wish there could have been more time to have the Menu selections explained. I defaulted to my order takers recommendations. As it turned out those suggestions were nice. Food 5/5 I choose the Arroz Con Pollo Jalapeño & Ham popper Empanada Sopa Verde The Aaroz Con Pollo was unique, fresh and delicious. Interesting creation with exciting flavors. I would order this again. Great portion. The Jalapeños & Ham popper Empanada was on the small side when compared to Mexican bakeries I purchased them at. That said the selections here are many and unique! Mine was outstanding. The Jalapeño popper and ham in their perfectly cooked pastry complimented each other so well, I was not disappointed with this recommendation and would order this again! Sopa Verde was a great portion. It included premium garden vegetables including spinach, rice, alvacado, peas, fresh white chicken meat and a salsa verde that added another flavor. This was a wonderful palette treat and another item I would order again. For me Food is this restaurants strong point. Atmosphere driven by acoustics not as much. We noticed on the map that there was a Cuban restaurant a mile away so we had to go! It's in a relatively abandoned strip mall and If you drive too fast you could miss it, I'm not sure you can even see it from the street, you kind of have to know it's there and MAN do people know!!!' By the time we left it was hopping! Lots of regulars you could tell. Staff was very nice, restroom clean and well stocked. Ambiance? Cute island minimalism! FOOD Had to start with the empanadas which were soo good and great flavor in the meat, I LOVE Cuban sandwiches but have failed to find a halfway decent one in Arizona. When we were in Miami and Key West I ate my weight in Cuban sandwiches so that's my gold standard! This one is just as good if not better! Advised it was big but we each ordered one anyway and big is an understatement they were huge! Roasted pork delicious and juicy, ham and Swiss. Just the right about of mustard not to overpower it and the right amount of pickles to also enhance but not overpower the flavor. The Cuban bread DELICIOUS! For 12 dollars it was two meals and a small snack for me. I'd say that's a heck of a deal ! We are already planning a trip out west to go back !

The restaurant ambiance is classy yet relaxed, not overly stuffy, but visually clean and inviting,…read morelike you feel better about yourself when walking in somehow. You know you are in for a true fine dining experience. We started off with some cocktails and I was very impressed with the clear ice cube in my Smokey Old Fashioned as it was branded with the "Toro" logo. It was so smooth and probably the best Old Fashioned I ever had, so I had 3 more! My wife throughly enjoyed her Espresso Martinis also. I started off with the Grilled Octopus and nearly cried because it was so good. This is a food favorite of mine and although I love the flavors, most restaurants over cook it and you need to cut it with a steak knife. Not this dish, no knife necessary, your fork will do. So tender, so flavorful, so amazingly delicious. The Mrs. ordered the crispy calamari and was thoroughly impressed as the texture was what fresh calamari should be and not the rubbery texture you get from 8 out of 10 other places. Seasoned to perfection with spices but not overly spicy. My wife can't bear spicy anymore , but she really enjoyed it. I finished it for her of course, because she always remembers to leave room for desert and never finishes anything. And I'm glad because I always get to taste her meals too. It's a win-win for me! I then had an off-the-hook Ceviches that rivaled my own. I am also a part-time cook and also wrote a cookbook. Ceviche is a particular dish that I compare to other restaurants and until now, never found another place that compares to mine. Toro doesn't disappoint my friends. Now for the entrée, Lomo Saltado for myself and a medium rare Ribeye for the Mrs. The Lomo Saltado was beef tenderloin on creamy rice, crispy potato, heirloom tomato, bell peppers, Rocoto Aioli and a Chifa Soy Sauce. It was mouth watering. The beef tenderloin was cooked a little on the well done side, but my bad for not specifying to cook it medium rare. It was still amazing and not a big enough deal to even mention it in the review, but I just want you to specify your preference when you order yours. My wife had the 14 Oz. Ribeye, medium rare ( she thought it was also medium but I found it to be medium rare myself) it was soooo good. She had a side dish of Crispy Brussels sprouts that were unworldy. We never had Brussels sprouts that good, it must be the sherry vinagrette and cotija cheese. Unreal. I had a side of shishito peppers that made my heart happy. My favorite peppers are not usually available everywhere so it was a real bonus to the meal. Desert, well the desert was worth the wait. We both ordered the Ube Basque Cheesecake. It is a dark purple colored slice of heaven with masa crumble, Yuzu espuma and coconut jam. The presentation was stunning. We even enjoyed espresso with sambucca to finish our dining experience. How many places offer espresso on their menu just to inform you the espresso machine isn't working? Just another bonus for us. Price wise, what you would expect for a high-end restaurant in a beautiful resort area of Scottsdale, no sticker shock there, but still, I'd save this place as a never can fail go to for a first date, anniversary, job promotion, marriage proposal, special occasion restaurant. They also do breakfast, brunch, lunch and Happy Hour. I hope you get to experience this place at least once. Put it on your bucket list, you'll be glad you did!

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive!…read more I had the most amazing chicken dinner at Caribbean Palms! The chicken was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The rice was absolutely delicious, and the plantains were cooked to perfection. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding customer service. We interacted with three different staff members during our visit, and every single one was warm, welcoming, polite, and genuinely kind. You can tell they take pride in both their food and hospitality. I drove over 30 minutes from the other side of town to dine here, and it was worth every minute of the drive. There was a steady stream of customers picking up to-go orders, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food. While takeout is clearly popular, I highly recommend dining in and enjoying the full experience.
