Amazing atmosphere! The food was fantastic. The service was fine, but the loud environment made it hard to hear the server. Will be back!

This place was a great find for mexican food in the area. We loved our drinks and food. Added plus that it's a great atmosphere!

This is one of our favorite places in Wilmington. If you are looking for excellent food in an enchanting, fun restaurant look no further. We have never had a bad meal here and the service has an excellent. If you go for dinner and want a quiet place, this is not it. This restaurant is very lively and great for birthday celebrations. It's great for small groups or big crowds! Definitely give it a try!

We went to Casa Encanto this weekend and I have to say it was a solid 10/10 experience. Yes, there was a bit of a wait (they don't take reservations), but honestly... it was 100% worth it. From the moment you walk in, the decor is INSANE. The whole place is such a vibe, it really feels like you're stepping into a full experience, not just dinner. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered the pulpo tampico (fried octopus), shrimp tacos, ACP, and birria tacos, everything was really good. But the BEST part? The energy when you're celebrating. You have to get the flight shots ! it's literally a plane-shaped tray, and the "pilot" comes out dancing and hyping everyone up. Such a fun moment! I also got the tiki drink, which is a whole experience made right at your table. This place isn't just about the food, it's about the vibe and the celebration

This establishment is indeed enchanting. We went on a weekday late afternoon so that we could thoroughly enjoy the decor, good, and cocktails without feeling rushed. I was expecting charming decor elements, but I wasn't anticipating a virtual show with a wall that displayed beautiful natural scenes and a sky with floating clouds hovering above the bar. The immersive experience was lovely, the Granada Margarita was exceedingly delicious, the chips and salsa were some of the best I've had in the area, and the mahi tacos and al pastor quesadilla were outstanding. We had an excellent waiter and a delightful time. We will be back to order a flight just so we can get a flight crew delivering the plane to our table.

This place is super fun. The ambiance is definitely full of energy and there are a lot of shots ordered. Be ready for music and sparklers lol. The drinks are a little pricier but they're delicious and come in the most unique vessels. The food was actually really good! I didn't expect that since it is so known for their unique drinks. We'll come again for another girls night!

It was our first time here, it was Saturday afternoon and it was after 1:00. We were seated right away. They bring chips and salsa to the table. The salsa was pretty good! We tried their guacamole and just had sodas . The decor is really cute and it can be a great place at night for a date or just a group of friends. We ordered the ACP chicken, the caldo de pollo and the squid dish. Everything was full of flavor and good portions. We tried the chocolate dessert and that was good as well. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Will be back because their menu is full of items we want to try and their drinks too!

The ambiance, the staff's personalities, the food selections, all together the best Mexican restaurant I've eaten at inside Wilmington, North Carolina.

Best Mexican food I've ever eaten! Having lived in areas with large amounts of Mexican restaurants this one is the best ever! I'm honestly surprised at how tasty it is. Not overly salty, meat is tender and veggies cooked perfectly. Service was excellent and our waitress was very helpful and polite. This restaurant wins hands down for ambience and decor. So fun!

The decor is stunning and take you to another place! The food is even better. We each tried something different with their speciality cocktails! Highly recommend!!!!!

As a vegetarian the food here was excellent. The chips and salsa were fresh and hot. Ask for a side of hot sauce - it's made in house and isn't too vinegary. The server customized veggie enchiladas for us. The chili rellano primavera was unique and nothing I've tried before. The poblano was cooked well with veggies flavored perfectly inside. The decorations are really cool inside. It really does feel like a casa encanto. It was a little too loud inside for my liking. Almost like a party vibe. Overall is a lot of fun Overall, definitely recommend and will come back when in town

This was our first visit to Casa Encanto. What can I say - but absolutely splendid! The ambiance is elevated, the drinks magical, and the food is some of the best we have had. The chips and salsa were to die for! Hearty chips with just the right crunch and salt! The fire roasted tomato salsa was so flavorful we added to our main dishes as well. The birria tacos and chimichangas had plenty on the plate and were fresh, hot, and seasoned well. Also, don't miss the beautiful decor throughout the restaurant. Plenty of space for a large group, but I would call ahead for courtesy. Our server took great care of us all evening and helped us with to go orders promptly for the rest of the family at home. Will be a new fav spot.

If you're searching and find the newest hot spot in Wilmington, NC is a Mexican fusion called Casa Encanto, your eyes are not deceiving you. I've been a part of Wilmington for nearly 50 years. This is one of the coolest additions since the film industry began here in the mid 1980s. I will leave the ambiance and environment explains to something you'll likely find far better on social media. As you're seated having a meal, you can easily tell dozens of photos are being taken around you. But first, DON'T be like me! Don't accidentally book online a 6:30PM reservation for Casa Encanto in Cuernavaca, Mexico! That unfortunately doesn't fly. When first stepping in you know you are somewhere enchanting. It took someone in the El Cerro Grande restaurant family, or perhaps the whole family pitched in, to even dream up something like this for Wilmington. If you've ever been to Barton G in South Beach, this is Wilmington's version. And the service (Wesley!!!), attention to detail, taste of food, perfectly blended cocktails, even the chips & various salsas, nothing disappoints here. If given a long wait time, just go chill in your car and listen to maybe Gypsy Kings. You don't want to lose your place in line at this new hot spot. The Playa Encanto (2 shrimp enchiladas with creamy poblano sauce and mahi-mahi zarandeado fillet. Served with street corn and chile toreado.) absolutely delicious. I on the other hand had basic grilled chicken tacos with shredded cheese & black beans on top - and even that was mind blowing.

The restaurant is especially known locally for its authentic Mexican breakfast dishes, birria, and chilaquiles. I gave it a try with some coworkers for the first time in the Wilmington location, a it was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I tried the Dovorciados eggs (two sunny side up eggs on top of a crispy corn tortilla with red and green salsa, separated by refried beans, and queso fresco.) with the Cafe de Olla. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy and authentic. Easily one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Wilmington. I'll definitely be back!

Today was not my first time eating here, and if I'm be truthful , every time I'm in town, I make it a point to stop by. They serve the kind of traditional Mexican breakfast I grew up loving, along with so many other delicious options. The staff is always warm and welcoming, serving every guest with the biggest smiles. You'll also often see the owner walking around as well, checking on tables and making sure everything is going smoothly, which adds such a personal touch. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated with cultural charm, and filled with the incredible aroma of fresh spices cooking in the kitchen. I always begin with their Café de Olla--a slow-simmered coffee made with raw brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange peel, and coffee. It's served hot, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. Honestly, it's the only coffee I'll happily drink without creamer or added sugar. This visit, I ordered the Tamal Montado: two tamales over a bed of creamy black bean sauce, covered with red salsa, then topped with a sunny side egg, avocado, Mexican sour cream, queso fresco, and cilantro. Every bite was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. I finished the meal with a pan dulce, which paired perfectly with the whole experience. I skipped tortillas this time, but they also have a tortilla station where they're made fresh by hand and cooked to order--always a sign you're in the right place!! They're open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, and if you find yourself in Wilmington, this spot should absolutely be on your list

"Good Mexican with a twist near downtown Wilmington"…read more Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner at 6pm and were seated immediately despite it being a group of 5. The place was not very large but relatively full, so be wary of coming later unless you're OK waiting. The restaurant had a bit of a rustic look but clean & well maintained, and nice local art posted on the walls. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and a lot of the food was sourced locally. We started with a sweet potato- goat cheese "guacamole" appetizer. I split the Jefe's Arroz Con Pollo and the Carne Con Ancho with my son. My girlfriend got the vegan rellenos. Food came out in maybe 20 minutes. The ACP was very good but unusual. It came with a thigh and leg of chicken on top, and a big mix of flavors of food underneath-- coconut rice, black beans, pineapple salsa. Curiously no cheese. Very different from any ACP I've ever had. Overall, it was fine-- honestly, my son and I both felt it was too many flavors that overwhelmed each other. In contrast, the Carne Con Ancho was spectacular. The steak bits were cooked rare to perfection and absolutely melt in your mouth. The flavors of the arepa below it as well as the horseradish and other components blended beautifully and made for a wonderful dish. My girlfriend said the rellenos were nicely fried and the sweet potato puree was excellent-- a very hearty dish without feeling heavy. And we all also really liked the guacamole appetizer-- unusual yet delicious flavor (and no avocado). Price was fair-- this was definitely upscale, so not "cheap", but fair for what we got. Overall, I'd happily come back, and definitely would want that Carne Con Ancho again. I recommend.

A hidden gem in Wilmington ... a well kept secret of the locals …read more.. From the outside .. it looks like a road side hole in the wall but once youre in, its a whole new world ! Most people enter the bar entrance where the small patio area is .. but on the other side of the patio is the main entrance where you are created by the host stand .. You would never know how big this place is from the outside but once in... its like one of the hamster cage cages with never ending tunnels to different rooms/area... RSVP are definitely suggested since walkins are usually in Bar area or Patio area .. which isnt bad .. but its limited seating .. Staff here are cool but service can be a lil wait if they are busy . Menu is a Panamanian vibe with lots of good eats .. One of the salsas you must get is the Elote salsa its very nommm nommmm next would be the Goat Gauc which is equally amazing. The Ceviche is a must get ... yes get the Quattro which is 4oz of each one so you can sample all ! The scallops and pork belly of mash is pretty good but would be better over the coconut rice . The special of the day was a sheepshead filet over risotto which was pretty damn good ! The corvina was ok but was a little bit over done and ended up a lil drier than expected. Highly recommend asking for the homemade hot sauce ... its amazing and goes on everything! This is definitely a locals Hotspot and an interesting place to people watch...
