    Enchiladas
    Maria C.

The service was excellent. We got busted à la mexicana and it was very good lots of flavor. Also we got enchiladas mineras and they were ok it had too much shredded chicken to my liking. The ramen birria was blend it needed more flavor on the consome but with limon and spicy salsa made it better. Over all it was a decent meal for the price and very good service.

    Menudo...muy poquito carne

I really wanted to love this place. The lady was nice, looked good inside, but I'm disappointed. I paid $17.28 for a bowl of menudo, and while the broth tasted good and it came with all the usual stuff (lime, cilantro, onions, tortilla, and salsa), the main reason you order menudo was almost nonexistent. I didn't realize how little tripe there was until I got all the way home and started digging through the bowl. Most of it was small pieces, with only about three larger pieces in the entire serving. For nearly $18, that's just not acceptable. I was still hungry after finishing it and actually had to add my own chicken at home just to make it a complete meal. I wish I would have checked before driving off..:(

Chicken enchiladas- one red, one green
    Diane N.

Everything was delicious! We each had the chicken enchiladas, one red and one with green sauce and they were excellent. We also had one enchilada and will definitely order again. Our only minor complaint was that the food could have been hotter. It Just needed a few more minutes of heating. The server was attentive and checked up on us regularly. The ambiance was cute and the music was great and not too loud. They have their own parking lot which is needed on Harris. Btw the salsa and chips are homemade and really delicious! In a town with too many Mexican options we think we have a new favorite place!

    Molcajete

As soon as we walked in we knew we had picked the right spot to eat at. The decor was vibrant and authentic with lively colors and fun music. The service was also excellent and our server was very attentive, checking on us to see how our experience was going. We decided to get the molcajete and it was SO GOOD. Different meats like carne asada, chicken, shrimp, and spicy sausage. It also had nopales, charred green onions, and an unforgettable very spicy salsa. I'm still thinking about that salsa. The molcajete also came with rice and beans on the side. We left feeling super satisfied. Mexican approved!

    Bean, rice and cheese burrito

We have found our new go-to spot! This place was super cozy. The prices are great and its family run which is fun to see. First came the chips and salsa. The chips must have been home made they were crispy and fresh. The house salsa was perfect for the whole table not too hot or too cool. The service was great and they were very attentive to our table and anything we needed. I got the chile verde and tamale and even the day after I am thinking about it! They smother the tamale in the chile verde sauce. The tamale on its own was also delicious the filling was flavorful and paired well with the masa. I will be coming back to it. My husband had the quesabirria and the first bite he gave me that look of amazement at the juicy, tender meat and crispy shells. The consommé was perfect and fit so well with the tacos. The burritos are so big! The kids probably could have shared but it was plenty for 2 days. Fully stuffed with beans, rice and cheese. This spot is a hidden gem! Worth the stop!

Very nicely portioned mimosas! I say 4.8 stars! I just rounded it up to 5. Excelente customer service! The place is clean and beautifully decorated. I got a burrito and it was good. I needed a spicier salsa and they brought this little jug of green salsa and it was soo good!! I love spicy

The Food and the service and the ambience was really good. We'll be going back soon. I had a tamale with green chili and a crêpe with cheese. They were so good.

    Taco salad with shredded beef
    Barbara R.

We have visited Casa Garcia twice in a month. Service is fast and friendly. Food is freshly prepared. My husband thought the chile rellano had too much cheese - I don't understand those words. What is too much cheese? On the second visit he had spinach enchiladas which were more to his liking. I had a taco salad with shredded beef and on the first visit, a burrito with carne asada. Prices are quite reasonable. If I had one ask, it would be for hotter table salsa, but other than that, it's a nice neighborhood place.

Our server was very pleasant and let us know the special of the day, a halibut dish with a creamy pepper sauce. Debating between that and another dish, we asked her recommendation and she suggested the fish. So we did it. My wife and I traditionally split meals at restaurants, because they generally give you so much food, you leave uncomfortably stuffed. We prefer leaving comfortably satisfied. So we split the Arugula Salad. They bring complementary bread with a garlic butter or basalmic and olive oil. We preferred the basalmic. The garlic butter wasn't very garlicky. But the salad was excellent. They split it for us for a small upcharge. The Halibut was excellent. We had to split it ourselves, but that was not a problem for us. It was served over couscous and was excellent. A bit small to split, so we added a cheesecake dessert with ganache. Very good. We paired it all with a Cabernet from the Oakville area of Napa (where we had just visited) and it was excellent as well. Our server was attentive. The pacing of our meal was very well done. Not too long between check-ins, but also not rushed. We recommend!

We were served right away and the hostess was very nice and located at two top for us. The wait person was lovely and immediately accommodating. The menu was interesting and inviting. I had to laugh out loud as there is an item on the menu referencing Pee-wee's Playhouse from my childhood. I even asked if it was a Gen X restaurant and sure enough the chef is of my generation. I'm including a picture so IYKYK! The waitress had shared all of the specials, and I was intrigued by the flat iron steak option. It was a flat iron steak with marsala mushroom sauce, and mushroom risotto and asparagus. It was delightful! The meat was perfectly cooked and tender with a lot of beef flavor, offset by a rich marsala mushroom sauce. It was perfectly complimented by one of the top mushroom risotto I have had in my life. It was delectable. And the grilled asparagus side paired nicely with the beef and marsala sauce. It even had a little bit of lemon on the asparagus, which is my preference for it! Overall, this is probably in the top five of all of the restaurant meals I've had in my life. My husband had the mixed beef burger with fries. He said he really enjoyed the burger, and I did steal a tiny taste, and it was perfectly cooked and had a slight gameness that gave it some depth. My husband said that the bun was very nice as well. The fries were perfectly cooked. The burger was perfectly cooked and it wasn't over juicing nor dry. Overall, a really great burger! Funniest thing we noticed was that all of the chairs that were sitting on a cement floor had been given rubber caps for each of the legs so that when you moved the chair, it didn't make a horrible sound. Literally extra 10 points for that alone! I wish this location well and look forward to stopping in the next time we are in the area.

The place was pretty busy at 8pm and we sat outside since we had our pup with us. I was surprised when I slurped it down and it was warm but they were delicious and the sauce on top was very flavorful. (That was my fault for not reading the description well enough; I'm just accustomed to eating oysters chilled) For entree's, I went with the Polenta Veghie lasagna and my husband ordered the Italian Mac n cheese. Even though they didn't have cioppino, it was the perfect choice. Sitting out on the patio with the breeze and the sun and the bay with pelicans and gulls flying and flowers all around was great in itself. The food and warm service people made it incredible. We had the best clam chowder I have ever had - thick, creamy, sweet with clams, and amazingly not heavy at all, just perfect. The hot crab sandwich was a special, so that made up our minds on one thing; and it was excellent. The onion rings were highly recommended by the waitress and the guy at the next table who had just gotten a serving. The breading was perfect and nicely seasoned, and the inch-tall rings of sweet white onion - wow. Giant, delicious onion rings. My son was attracted to the blackened sole but I persuaded him that we needed the clam cutlets because - cutlets of razor clam, seriously? And they were cutlets, a thing we had never seen, nicely breaded and delicious. We like clams. The fries were okay, just fries. The tartar sauce was light and an excellent tangy counterpoint, and the cocktail sauce was truly amazing. We were impressed. Both plates came with a small slice of tasty watermelon, too.
