We had a fantastic time at Casa Grande . The food and service were truly world-class . My only beef was when I wanted to go out onto the patio to smoke a cigarette . Well first of all the door was locked on an absolutely gorgeous day and when I asked the hostess she gave me a look like I had crashed her AI and informed me that smoking was absolutely prohibited on the patio (even if anyone could possibly have been granted access!!) And I most certainly could NOT take my margarita outside. Seriously, I thought her head was going to rotate and explode. Well I could only assume that the space had been rented out as a waiting room for a mortuary. So I had my smoke in the comodious parking lot and got lots of envious looks from dads dropping off their demon spawn at the ju jitsu class next door. Flipped my butt into the conveniently located storm drain and a national emergency was averted because I did not SMOKE and DRINK simultaneously. And no one was late for the rally at Nuremberg! Yay Know what? I smoke. I drink . I have deep pockets and I enjoy going out with my friends. I'm definitely going back to Casa Grande. Our waitress Maggie is so sweet But I guess the little trip to leprosy island for a smoke is just a small price for a really good time, but not a super dooper fun time. Service was terrible. We had a group and our tickets came out wrong so the worker had to do redo them several times. We are teenagers and didn't have enough money because are meals are usually cheaper (I understand this was our fault) and she lectured us and slam our cards on the table. When in Rome, you go with the flow. We have occasion to be in this tiny town from time to time, and enjoy trying different little establishments when we do. This restaurant was clean enough, and fairly good overall. The waiter got our order confused a little bit, appeared to possibly be learning English on the fly. Had dinner here with some friends the other night and enjoyed myself. The menu is missing some small things, but this is small town Tennessee after all, and the restaurant caters to a clientele that wants what it wants or won't show up and support it. I wish the had chicken mole, Pozole, Carne Asada stuffed poblanos, enchiladas de espinaca, but maybe in another lifetime. That said, The food was good, but not great. The best thing we had was the guacamole Mexicano (I believe it was called). But the other dishes were nice, decent flavor. The atmosphere was nice and the place seemed to pack out pretty well after corona-gedden has finally lifted and allowed us to get back to some normalcy of life. read more

I enjoyed every thing we ordered! Food was absolutely delicious. The food was authentic, however, one thing that really threw our meal off was that they didn't have salsa picante. They had bottled hot sauce and that's it. That was frustrating. They were also out of half the meat offered on their menu for tacos. Our waitress, food runner, and host did not speak Spanish... I speak English but there have been times that my husband, that speaks primarily Spanish had trouble ordering because most of the waitresses didn't speak Spanish. They also have a long wait time no matter what you order. But despite all of those details, the food is wonderful!!! And we will definitely be back. read more

The place was clean and roomy. The silverware was clean but had water spots, the waitress took and brought clean silverware and apologized. This is no big deal. The room was a bit chilly so bring a small coat if you get cold in the AC. Now on to the food VERY VERY GOOD! Texaco burrito was out of this world on taste and size. There was so much food for such a small price. This is a gem of a find for anyone not local. All I can say is a must eat at location. We only have two Mexican food restaurants in town and this one is the best It is usually pretty busy.

COVID sensitive, there is lots of spacing between tables and the staff wear masks. This is a very good thing. The best Mexican in Hohenwald by a long stretch. Generously huge portions, freshly cooked from scratch, very good variety. Super tasty also! This is my go-to a couple times a month. I travel full time and am here for the summer..I'm very happy for this caliber of restaurant in this tiny town..trust me when I say there aren't many choices. Super highly recommend! read more

Yet another good Mexican resturaunt. Rice and beans above average. Tamales in beef only (hope they will add other options soon) however they are on the better side of an average tamale. Mushroom quesadilla is a nice vegetarian option, but a little oily on the shrooms (probably an easy fix). Chips above average when they are good. If the ones you get are a little stale, ask and they'll fix it. The salsa is really good but really salty, but they don't put much salt on the chips so it works out. Service has been generally quick and all wait staff have been pleasant and seem eager to please. The all wear cool T-shirts too! Important side notes: They pass my test for a good Mexican resturant by having both tamales on the menu and Valentina hot sauce in a bottle. And they also have Dos Equis Amber on draft! This is one of two Mexican restaurants in Hohenwald. I bounce back and forth on which I like best - the jury is still out. The owner of this one seems to be on a mission to be the best so stay tuned. Arrived here after a long day of driving. Started with delicious homemade chips and salsa so good we ordered some to go. Top shelf margaritas are excellent and you get to choose tequila! My wife had green enchiladas. I ordered ala carte. Both verde and red sauces were excellent. Beef taco and enchiladas were spot on. Attentive wait staff and food came out astonishingly fast. One of the plates we got had a big chip out of the side taco salad was dry and had no flavor what do ever. Fajita was greasy and wasn't hot when it was brought out. They charge what ever and claim it's due to covid but they couldn't change the menus the disclaimer they had for it was in very very tiny writing no where near the food you where ordering first time there got told by a local that it was the best Mexican restaurant in Hohenwald paid over 30 dollars for a taco salads fajita and two drinks wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. read more

Solid Mexican restaurant with consistent quality. They're always nice and pretty fast getting your food out.

Are here twice while on a trip mainly because the choices are very limited here. Their guacamole is about a 2.5 on a scale to 5. They would be better served using fresh avocados and not mixing it with thinners like sour cream. Both nights I had the carnitas and it was excellent. It had a cinnamon flavor to it and I would definitely order it again. Friendly service and for a small town in the middle of Tennessee it's pretty darn good. My wife and I have been going to visit a friend of ours recently in Hohenwald in recent months. Each time we have come to visit, we would always go to eat at Casa Grande. We would always enjoy the times we would go to eat at Casa Grande. The service is excellent and the food is good and has generous portions. The first time that we had gone, my wife and I ordrered the El Molcajete and our friend was impressed by not only how it looked on the stoneware bowl, but also how it tasted. We also ordered the Fajita for two on our last visit and it was fabulous. read more

First time being here while visiting and enjoying kayaking/canoeing all day. Ordered cheese dip which took awhile to come out. Chalked it up to being busy. Not so much. Ordered three burrito americano with chicken one came out with burnt chicken we sent it back and we asked for it to be replaced. They never came back with any food and manager said he would not replace or discount since my teenager ate some of the non burnt chicken while waiting for our server to come back. She brought us our check and we asked where his replacement food was and She didn't know what we were talking about - we asked her if she was new. She said yes. Not very good customer service since my son didn't even touch any thing else on the plate they took. Ridiculous customer service. You should be thankful for the customers that come out and are patronizing your establishment during this uncertain time. We will not be back. read more

Went to get some dessert here as me and my wife really enjoy their chocolate chimichangas, but we thought it was called the deep fried ice cream so that's what we asked for. When we realized that we had gotten the wrong order my wife talked to one of the waiters. Even after saying that it was her mistake and asked if we could have the chocolate chimichangas the waiter and the other waiters had made fun and told us we should have looked at the menu instead of just ordering straight ( which my wife had already stated it was her mistake ). Once it was done and over with in the background the waiters continued making fun of us ( we were sat very close to the kitchen and within ear shot of all of them ) one waitress even threw down the menu we were using complaining that we messed up.
