I pass this place every day and finally decided to stop. Why haven't I stopped before? There's nothing to look at when you walk in, just tables and benches. Kinda worn out. There was only one person working and he was bustin his a$$ and seating ppl and taking orders and serving the food. It took a little while to get our food but it was worth the wait! I had the Chile relleno, taco and enchilada. Any gf had the Chile Verde. Both items were very tasty and filling. I couldn't eat all my food. I been coming to this place for years with friends and family (before Covid even.) This time I even encouraged my Taco Friends to come. We didn't have any of the complaints I see listed in the comments. I'm never been disappointed and they are always friendly and service is always wonderful. I will say the soups are a little high priced for what they are. However, the foods and main dishes are always satisfying and so it the service. And yes the place is Clean without that blasting music you have to yell to hear your neighbors. We had a great time and sounded like the other big group did too. I'll be back! read more

Stopped here from big bear road trip and was pleasantly surprised. Nice big family style restaurant with authentic Mexican food. We ordered 2 shrimp tacos and the asada fries. The shrimp tacos are huge, tasty, and filled us up. We tasted the asada fries as we got full from the tacos and they were good. When I got home I really enjoyed the fries. Lots of cheese, meat beans guacamole and well made fries. I'll be back when in the area to try the all you can eat for $12.95. Prices are great and the portions are huge. The all you can eat mexican food is amazing. I always get the abondigas, and the carnitas, beef taquitos, and beef hard shell taco. The other thing is really enjoy from here is the shrimp cocktail. I was hoping for great things...like that great diner from your road trip to Albuquerque in 1975, but, not quite. i got a pork chop with rice and beans combo plate. Everything tasted ok, i appreciate that the chops were juicy. The price in the menu said something, i got charged more, and then i think i got charged more for using a debit card. Food was 4 out 5, definitely not the best but it's pretty decent. The service in the other hand was fantastic! All the ladies servers were really nice and always checking on our table. It took a while to get our food delivered but we were a party of 12 so totally understandable. I'm a newbie to Riverside area restaurants and was very curious about this Casa Jimenez as the La Puente location is my absolute favorite. So happy to say that this spot does not disappoint!! Like the other the locations, they have the ayce option which I of course went for. Got my usual albondigas soup, rice and beans, beef tamale, cheese enchiladas and huevos rancheros. All piping hot, all on point, all delicious! I was thrilled to see they had chicken taquitos on the ayce menu as the other locations don't offer that.The complimentary chips and salsa was great,too. Excellent rice and beans, cheese enchiladas, and hard shell tacos. The salsa is unique, not tomato based, it is green and fiery. On my last visit I had the Chili Colorado. Not sure there are too many fresh items here at all. Even though there are 100 hundred items on the menu, I gave them the benefit of the doubt... but I was wrong. Any place that has so many items on the menu make it difficult to keep ingredients fresh so they use lots of canned ingredients. Overall food was bland and not tasty at all.
