Management needs to get their Valet service drivers in line, (maybe fired!) my family has witnessed may erratic dangerous driving right in front of restaurant's entrance on many occasions. Today, 5/29/26 two valet drivers almost hit me and my family walking on the viaduct. This restaurant is in the middle of a very nice neighborhood with lots of people and families living in the 3 surrounding buildings. Valet drivers MUST Drive CAUTIOUSLY as there is no viable sidewalks for nearby residents and patrons alike to walk between the buildings. Casa came through for me in the best way on my birthday. It ended up being a last-minute decision after I slept through my original reservations, but they were open late and incredibly accommodating. I asked for a window seat since I was dining solo, and they made it happen with no hesitation. The service was impeccable, as always. I decided to try something new and ordered the ribeye (my first time having one), and it absolutely did not disappoint. The real surprise was the tiramisu that came out with a candle. We had a very enjoyable meal at this establishment. Our server was very attentive and helpful in making some of our selections. They brought us oil and Parmesan cheese for dipping with the bread that was spicy. I'm not a fan of the spice in the oil, but my wife enjoyed that twist. She had shrimp and clams over linguine which was slightly overcooked, but was still very tasty. I had Tagliatelle with red sauce that combined duck and wild boar to make a beautiful Bolognese. We had an excellent bottle of wine from Abruzzo that was reasonably priced. It was a good choice if you're in the area and it was very busy as the night went on. Our party was trying to coordinate arrivals and the water Mark was so patient and told us the table was ours for the night and not too worry. He had great recommendations and discussed the menu as if he'd tried everything on it. He customized my martini when I said I wanted something sweeter. The bread was divine and the oil slightly spicy. My scallops were perfect. Oh and before I forget --order the sacetti appetizer!!! Casa La Luna is truly one of the gems of the West Bank of the Flats -- and honestly, I can't believe it took me this long to try it! I was headed to Jacobs Pavilion to see T-Pain (because buy u a drank is forever a bop) and wanted to grab dinner somewhere close. After a quick Google search, Casa La Luna popped up. I've seen this place over the years but never stopped in -- and what a shame, because this spot is AMAZING. It's been around since 2005 and clearly knows what it's doing. They do have a happy hour, but it's only available at the bar. Since we were on a time crunch, I made a reservation and was glad I did. Our server, Nita, started us off with waters and a loaf of bread big enough to feed a small village. It came out piping hot (which gave me all the cozy feels) along with a flavorful herb and oil dip that had a nice little kick. I ordered the Blueberry Thyme Martini, and it did not disappoint -- perfectly balanced and refreshing. I was dining with a couple of friends, which of course meant we all sampled each other's dishes. I went with the menu mainstay, the Lobster Ravioli, and it was absolutely delectable. My friends ordered two of the day's specials (there were about six in total): the Halibut stuffed with crab and the Fettuccine with scallops. Both were to die for -- rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To close out the evening, we shared a slice of Tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet ending to a flawless Italian dinner. Overall, Casa La Luna feels upscale but warm -- the kind of place that's perfect for a celebratory dinner or a date night with your main squeeze (definitely not the spot for your sneaky link). Loved coming here for happy hour. Definitely is a popular spot for happy hour-- 5-7pm Monday-Fridays, 5-9pm Sundays. You can only get the happy hour specials at the bar so it gets full quickly. Most recently, I came on a weekday around 6:15, and the bar was full--waited about ten minutes before seats opened up. The complimentary bread is great. It has that perfect crispy exterior and fluffy interior that pairs well with the olive oil. Ordered the pear martini--definitely could taste the pear, not too sweet. For food, we ordered the carpaccio di salmone, ravioli, and cavatelli al bolognese (all $10 each). The carpaccio and ravioli were pretty small in quantity (3 ravioli pieces), but then again they were both $10 and tasted great. If you're looking for more bang for your buck, the cavatelli had a little more in quantity and it tasted good, pasta with that good al dente texture. Service at the bar was good but a little slow, understandable given the full bar. Parking available as valet or free street parking if you're willing to walk a few minutes. Service The manager is a moron. Plain and simple. I arrived, saying I'd like to go to the bar and wait for the rest of my party. He said, "Well, there are no seats at the bar". Well, no shit! You mean I just can't go in and order a cocktail??" Idiot. I ended up doing just that. The bartender was wonderful, and the cocktail was perfect! I mean, perfect!! And it was still happy hour, so it was inexpensive and she didn't spare the booze! First, the service. I felt very, very rushed. They were good at taking the order, but we were having a relaxing evening, and they kept trying to take our plates even though there was plenty of food still on them. This included the server and the manager. It was annoying. Our reservation was at 6, so I'm sure they were trying to clear us out for the second seating. The Wine They have an excellent wine selection. Incredible wine list. My only critique but the least expensive wine was $65. There are wines you can purchase, and we were drinking cabs, for a lot less. A good wine list, but it would be nice to see it more diverse. The Appetizer: The calamari appetizer was ok, 4/5. It was served with a delicious red sauce and was perfect for dipping their house bread, which was plentiful. The calamari was slightly bland, however. The Entrees: If you can endure the annoying service and overpriced wine, the entrees were nearly perfect. I ordered the seafood tortellini. It really was excellent. The sauce was creamy and fresh, the tortellini wasn't overdone (overboiled), and there was plenty of seafood, particularly lobster. My dinner guests had the ossobuco. I love ossobuco in general. This was sincerely the best I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. Seriously amazing. Not sure if I'd go back. It's a very intimate space in that they pack a lot of people in there. But at $40-$80 a plate, not sure if it was worth it. The risotto of the day was $80! Hospitality Matters as Much as the Food Despite the restaurant's impressive ratings, I left with the growing impression that the overall online reputation may not fully reflect the actual guest experience. We arrived with a reservation to celebrate the birthday of one of our guests. Our first impression of the hostess was positive, until we entered the dining room and saw a group of servers simply standing almost in the middle of the restaurant like a flock of pigeons waiting to be fed. They quickly dispersed once they noticed new guests arriving, but the situation came across as a basic lack of professionalism, etiquette, and awareness of their responsibilities. We were served by one of the more experienced waitresses. A positive touch was the complimentary bread (which I assume is made in-house) served with seasoned olive oil. However, I am not convinced that our server was well acquainted with the menu, as she asked me to repeat the name of my dish four separate times before understanding what I was ordering. The wine list itself is fairly classic, offering safe, timeless selections. What genuinely surprised me was that your website states that the restaurant has a collection of more than 100 different wines. Yet the wine list we were given contained no more than about ten options, and our server chose not to mention that a much broader selection was actually available. Perhaps she was trying to save time, or perhaps she simply was not in the mood to provide that level of service. Please correct me if I am mistaken. We came prepared to spend considerably more during our visit. Unfortunately, because of the lack of proper attention and guidance, we felt discouraged rather than encouraged to explore your offerings. The food was enjoyable overall. The only exception, in my opinion, was the Tagliatelle di Mare, which lacked the distinctive flavor and aroma I normally associate with this classic dish. I asked for some lime and olive oil to add a bit more freshness and character. Of course, I understand that this is entirely a matter of personal taste. Overall, aside from the restaurant's excellent location, and nice music nothing truly impressed us or inspired us to return in the future. Finally, I would like to share the most disappointing part of our experience. As we were leaving the restaurant, the parking attendant behaved in a completely unacceptable manner. He began verbally attacking the woman who was driving our vehicle and then proceeded to threaten my family, saying that he wanted to "meet us after 11 p.m." This crossed every reasonable boundary of acceptable behavior. We understand that the parking service may be operated by a third-party company rather than the restaurant itself. Nevertheless, this employee's conduct became one of the strongest lasting impressions of our entire visit. I have been to Luca West before so was familiar with the Sacchetti Al Tartufo Bianco - of course we ordered the Sacchetti for an appetizer and it did not disappoint! However the lamb was overcooked leading to a good workout to get the meat off the bone! The gnocchi was fine and the tomatoes sauce was fine too. But the risotto was mind blowing! I do want to say our waitress seemed to be rushing us and not very talkative. All the tables around us were having very long talks with our waitress and others around us but ours wanted nothing to do with us. Food came out faster than my cosmo and glass of wine. Started with the complimentary bread basket (great warm bread). We had the Ribolita soup (I would say its their take on the minestroni soup), Kobe Carpaccio for appetizers, Red Snapper special, Sacchetti and Lamb Chops. All were very good. Since it was our daughter's birthday, the restaurant gave us tiramasu (which we were planning to order, so that worked out perfectly) - it is still one of the best in the city. I was so excited to try this highly recommended Italian spot in Cleveland. My excitement turned into amusement with the parking situation, became genuine with the bread course, and then quickly died after that! We sat down to a lovely view in a nice booth and had quite the warm bread and yummy garlic oil type situation to start. When we had this, and I had a nice glass of Santa Barbara pinot noir I was so excited to see where this meal would take us. That quickly turned. For apps we had a special of the day, the tuna carpaccio. It tasted like nothing - truly nothing - I love tuna carpaccio, but why have it taste like nothing? We also got the burrata, it was worse than burrata I buy at whole foods - the prosciutto was good, the peppers good, but they clearly didn't make this burrata themselves, or even buy the highest quality burrata...and it was so cold - nobody in Italy serves burrata that cold! We heard the pasta was good so we got a bolognese and a cavatelli. Oh boy, the bolognese was mid - just not tasty at all, but not offensive, though it did taste homemade. So it had that going for it. The cavatelli felt like the most midwest italian pasta dish you could make at a fancy restaurant. Nothing about it felt italian at all. It wasn't horrible, it just could've been so much better. I was already excited for this place, as it's on Yelp CLE's list of the best places to eat according to CLE Yelp Elites, and it surely did not disappoint! Parking for the location started it off and was kind of sucky. You have to valet or walk a good little distance. In the cold, it can be a little miserable so I did drop my wife off at the door. The house were very nice and accommodating. The service was very friendly and great interacting with our toddler. The food was all taste wise very good. My lamb I did have to send back because it was not cooked to temp. I asked for medium rare, and it was raw in the middle. Definitely not even questioning it, it was cold. As much as I paid for the meal, I would expect them to temp before leaving the kitchen, but maybe not. As I said that the flavor of everything was really good. Atmosphere was really nice on the inside. I would say the mood lighting once it was dark outside could have been a little bit brighter. I felt like I was eating in the dark. Excellent HH deals here - all the HH items were $7 which is such a steal. Come early/right as they open or you won't get a seat at the bar for HH. From the HH menu, we got the salmon carpaccio, the mussels, caprese salad, calamari, and bolognese, but there were a few more options on the HH menu. We also got an appetizer order of the sacchetti ($18), since that is a signature dish of Luna's. All the dishes were tasty and came out super quickly. There is also complimentary bread with olive oil & vinegar which was also very tasty. I enjoyed all the dishes, and the sacchetti came with ~7 pieces which was a perfect amount to get a taste. Highly recommend this dish, it was excellent. My favorite item from the HH menu was the bolognese -- huge portion size for the price and tasted great. The service was very quick initially when they weren't busy, but they quickly filled up and then it became a bit difficult to get the bill and leave since the poor bartender had to wait on all the bar seats and make drinks, but he did a good job considering the bar seats were full when we left, and a good portion of the restaurant was full too. All in all, excellent HH deals, but many items on their regular menu looked good as well. If you do want to make HH, come early right as it starts to get a seat! Parking right out front is valet only (or permit only), but if you park a bit further up the street, you can find free street parking. read more

This was a place I wanted to check out based on their reviews. We had just got into town and were starved so we stopped in to see how their Happy Hour was. That one night has definitely turned into many nights when we are in town. This is our go to first pick! I have an Allium allergy. Which always makes my dining experience more stressful. They have a nice Wine and Cocktail list. Back to the food. We tried a lot. The Calamari - Amazing. Not fried, Perfectly cooked every time. Tender with a little spice, sometimes a lot of spice. My first visit I had it with the red sauce that did not contain any ingredients I couldn't have. Since then it has had Onion so I have had an olive oil based sauce with a pinch of red pepper. Good as well but not as delicious as the red sauce which is my favorite. Carpaccio Di Salmone- This was one of my favorites. Perfectly balanced with the brininess of the Capers. It is not only delicious and fresh but beautifully presented. Caprese- It's Caprese. Tasty and fresh ingredients. Mussels- Good . I liked other things more. Don't forget the Bread. Their bread is amazing. So splurge and have some! As far as Entree's.... Cavatelli Al Bolognese - Delicious, well made. My husband liked it. I could not personally try it. Penne Alla Vodka- This is his favorite. Creamy, Delicious, with a kick from the red pepper flakes. He orders this every time. For me. On our first night I was able to get the red sauce that goes into the Calamari which I was told was made without any of my allergens. It was amazing. On subsequent nights, this was not the case. I had to order plain noodles some nights to eat with my calamar which was decent. This past visit I was told the Champagne Cream Sauce was safe so I ordered that. It was also delicious! Tiramisu- We finally ordered dessert. We got it to go. It was amazing. One of the best I've had. Another thing to add to the list of things we have to get when we come in. I know the restaurant name is changing soon. I'm hoping the menu won't. Why mess with perfection. We look forward to dining here when we return in a couple of months. My fiance and I stopped by here last night for the first time for dinner and it was such a wonderful experience! The vibe is unmatched. We already knew we were in for a treat because we arrived 5 minutes before the restaurant opened and there was already a line out the door. We got seated in the outdoor veranda which was so lovely and surprisingly cool despite the 80 degree weather. I will say the service is a bit slow. It took about an hour to order and get our food. But, my guess is because it's such a popular spot and the restaurant filled up as soon as it opened. However, the service was very friendly and the wait was worth it, as our food was phenomenal! We got the lemonade, a mocktail, shrimp cocktail, bolognese, and the pork chop. All were so delicious! We wanted dessert but were too full, so we'll have to come back next time. Amazing food, worth every penny. Drinks were also really good. Loved the ambiance as well, outdoor seating was pretty cool.

I was in Cleveland the other weekend for a wedding and had a nice dinner date out on the town. We were recommended Luca, and it did not disappoint. The place sits just outside of downtown, with an excellent skyline view. We had Donnie taking care of us, and the whole staff was incredible. I ordered this pasta dish with truffle oil that might've been the top dish I've ever had. I forget the name, but if you show the waiter the photo, they will direct you to the right place. Service: 9.4 Pasta: 9.9 Caprese: 9.1 Scale system 10/10 would be what I want for my last meal 9.9-9.3 driving out of my way to get this 9.2-8.0 like the place and would go back 7.9-7.0 I would come here again if it were presented and don't have anything bad to say 6.9 and below - thanks, but no thanks after trying once read more

We selected this restaurant based on the menu, location and Yelp reviews. We were not impressed. Food: 2/5 The sacchetti was very good. The veal saltimbocca was thick and served with terrible potatoes, and broccoli that was undercooked. Broccoli is not the classic vegetable served with saltimbocca. Noise: 1/5 Loud music we did not care to hear. We also were placed near the kitchen. Seating: 4/5 The bench seat was comfortable. Ambiance: 3/5 Not the most attractive space. Many people packed in. Okay is the best way to describe. Service: 1/5 The waiter did not know what a daquiri was, so we had to explain. The bar tender still messed it up, using vodka, not rum. The first course arrived before our wine. Later confusion upon serving a second glass of wine. Two different servers brought a second glass, one of which we turned away. We sat near a stub wall, next to the kitchen. The slow moving server reached over the wall to fetch some used plates. We had to assist. No sense of urgency or competency. read more
