This was our first visit to Grafton Grill, and it definitely won't be our last! We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. I had the pizza special, and it was absolutely amazing. My wife ordered the risotto, and she said it was the best risotto she's had anywhere in the area. The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere. Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated, making it a very enjoyable place to dine. Our server was top-notch--friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. I have been here a lot because it is really good. Probably the best restaurant in the area. The food is so good. High quality ingredients and a totally cook chef team. They are creative and just very good. My wife had the black bean burger. She loved it. I tried it. Not my style but it was ok. I had the swordfish special. It was great. Prepared so well with vegetables like broccolini. A pesto sauce that made the food stand out. My son had burgers both times. Fresh and big. Loved it. Great fries. Wow, how have I not reviewed Grafton Grill? My partner and I love this place. Every sandwich, salad, pasta dish, and appetizer we've had has been great, and the staff is always a pleasure to talk to. The cozy atmosphere is one of the things that brings us back again and again. If I had one bad thing to say it's that parking can be tricky if they're busy. With their limited hours, it can fill up. But I can't really fault them for the size of their lot or for being popular. Just get there early. read more

I am always looking for hidden gems and came upon this one in Grafton. Located on a small side street, cut through, this place was a great find. Not very big, so reservations are recommended but not needed. As you walk in there is a U shaped bar with some high tops. They have a good selection of locals beers and many others on bottles. Their mixed drink selections had some really cool combinations and my wife loved her margaritas. A good size menu with nightly specials. We started with the crispy shrimp. They were on a bed of tasty coleslaw. Five decent sized shrimp cooked perfectly and a spicy dipping sauce. Wife then went with the "special" pizza of the night. A good size thin crust pizza with plenty of chicken, hot peppers and a creamy sauce. I went with the grilled cheese short rib sandwich. It was packed with short rib and toasted nicely. It came on a huge pile of fries that were obviously hand cut. If they hadn't charged us extra for a small cup of Ranch dressing for my wife, they would have been 5 stars. Had the taste and texture of a cheap $5 generic frozen pizza from the grocery store. If a pizza is not worth eating the leftovers, you know its bad. read more

This is a nice quiet family restaurant (at least when I went). They have outside sitting but I chose to sit at the bar. I ordered the salmon dish (forgot take a picture) and it was delicious. So we moved closer to Grafton about a year ago, but just really discovered Grafton Grill at the beginning of April. Since our first visit on April 4th, we've been back 2 more times. We love the atmosphere. We love to sit at the bar and the service there is always excellent. Two times we got wings and pizza. Let me tell you about these BBQ bone in wings - I don't really love chicken all that much, but these wings are heavenly! I literally dream about them! They are hearty, and definitely messy, which means they don't lack sauce like other places. We've gotten the Bee Sting pizza and the Mushroom & Caramelized onion. Loved both, although the Bee Sting was just a tad too spicy for me, not for my hubby though. This last time we tried the bolognese pasta - it exceeded my expectations! I think it's safe to say this is one of our new favorite places. Oh yeah and the drinks/beers rock too! Can't wait to go back. I don't typically review places, but these guys are really exceptional. The service is always top notch and the food is quality - they understand that they're local and they work hard to keep bringing in the folks that live nearby. The bar is chill and the ambiance is really friendly and welcoming. I mostly get Pizza for takeout these days and it's always fresh - you can see the chefs making them as you walk into the takeout area. Had a lovely time here on a impromptu dinner trip over the weekend with hubby . Never been here, although we live in this town ! Lovely ambience and warm hosts .. Our server , María , was warm and friendly. They have a decent veg spread in appetizers and entrees . We were actually surprised they had any veg' options other than fries in our small town , the veg' selections were actually good . From the appetizer section we tried the polenta dish and the crispy Brussels sprouts . Nice ! For drink I had the lemon drop , lavender infused Gin and hubby had a beer . The cocktail was tasty ! For main we had the wood fried mushroom , feta, arugula topped pizza with truffle oil. It was delicious ! I will def' return for a second innings with friends . Finding an upscale restaurant in a rural setting is rare these days. This is a family run business that strives to provide that level of service with local a customer base. Are they perfect? Maybe not, but we didn't see that at all. They are extremely busy and patrons who come expecting chain restaurant speed & service need to understand the term "cooked to order," which simply means "we prepare food as the orders come in, not in advance and pulled from a walk-in fridge." That said, our food was impeccable and thoughtfully prepared. The Bee Sting pizza was spicy and delicious, salads were perfectly dressed and fresh, and the Bolognese was fantastic. Everything was delivered with a smile and without hesitation. The only drawback was that food took longer than expected (not even that long, either), but thanks to our waiter, we we're told that the kitchen was slightly backed up and food was taking a few minutes longer than normal. Great communication, no problem!! The best part was the waitstaff who went out of their way to make us comfortable, fitting us in without a reservation (waitlist for less than 10 minutes) on a slammed Saturday night. Very personal service, including a welcoming visit from the owner. TL;DR: fabulous food at family owned hidden gem with a hard working, knowledgeable staff who goes out of their way to accommodate patron's needs. Already looking forward to our next visit. Nice clean restaurant (on the smaller side) so plan your time accordingly. The Menu is also in the smaller side but you'll likely find something you like. The crushed haddock with mashed potatoes is delicious and is my go to entree. The Brussels sprouts are delicious and the go to starter. Three stars because the food and service is inconsistent. read more

We've driven by many times and finally decided to stop. They were crazy busy and we were asked our names for call ahead seating. We didn't even think to call ahead and figured we'd have a long wait. Instead, the gentleman who helped us up front fit us into a little high top along the back wall. He was extremely friendly and helpful, even though it was chaotically busy. Long story short, after interacting with our wonderful waitress, we couldn't be happier with everything. Drinks, food, wait staff, and ambience were perfect. They put us on the waiting list then after waiting for about 15 minutes the girl came out and said "my boss just told us no more walk in's.. need to leave.. very unprofessional of her boss. They lost a good customer. Update: This response from the owner is so unprofessional. Why would we lie about something like this. We stopped by spur of the moment which is why we didn't have a reservation. The hostess said 25 minutes which we were fine with and then after about 15 minutes came outside and said what I already shared. If we had been told up front no more walk-ins that would have been fine. The problem is how it happened and now how the owner responded. Ask your hostess if this happened and the 6:15 reservation that witnessed her tell us this. read more

To preface this review, I think me and my boyfriend went here on an off night and we are very willing to come back and try it out again. We came here on a Saturday night and were sat right away. We had to wait a while for the waitress to come over but once she did she was friendly and apologized for the wait. Unfortunately, they did not have draft beers that night (due to an issue at the bar?), which was a bummer since we were in the mood for beer flights. I chose a lavender lemon drop martini instead, which was very good. As an appetizer we got the brussel sprouts which were crispy and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the steak tips, rare, which were sadly very over cooked. However, I ordered the espresso rubbed pork chop from the specials menu and it was to die for. We go often and the menu has always been spectacular. From the crab rangoon dip, the flight of spuds to the buffalo chicken flatbread. Always awesome. The beer taps change regularly, and they stick the favorites, so it's never been a disappointment. Update: On our way out for the day, we decided to swing by for their Brunch. I got the Burger Benedict and my wife got the two eggs her way. Both meals were more than enough in size and were plated very well. The Burger Benedict was awesome with a ground sirloin burger and a sausage patty with the egg and hollandaise. Absolutely incredible! My wife said her meal was just as good with tasty home fries, bacon and toast. Well worth the stop! read more

Our first visit to the Grafton Grill was for my daughter's 50th birthday. We couldn't have asked for a more special night, we were a party of 6, it was a first time for all of us. Our waitress was excellent, very attentive, we ordered the haddock, steak tips, burger and salmon. Each dinner was cooked perfectly and were so delicious. The plates were served hot and were beautifully plated. A few of us tried dessert, and they were outstanding. It was a perfect place for my daughters birthday. I didn't really know what to expect but was totally blown away- the food was absolutely amazing, drinks were awesome, service was excellent. There were beautiful, fresh dahlias on all the tables. My fiancé got a killer Bloody Mary and I got the mimosa flight- they have an insane local beer selection and great cocktail selection in general. We wanted to like it. I will start with what was good. Had reservations but likely would have been OK not to. It was a Tuesday night and we are early eaters so it was a light crowd. As we were leaving it seemed to be picking up pace but by 640PM I think it was still half full. We were immediately welcomed by a courteous host who we may also assume pulls double duty as the owner. Waitress was outstanding and very pleasant though out the meal. Decor was nice and as my wife noted very "Magnolia Farms" like. Food- we had looked at a menu and had planned our meal ahead of time (don't judge! ). We should have stuck to the plan. It was Taco Tuesday and I guess their version of Tex Mex night so we changed plans. We ordered the Wanton Nachos to start. They were Ok but for 14 bucks I would have like the fish to have been the star. I got the fish tacos off the menu and the Mrs got beef taco flight off the specials menu. Both arrived quickly and both were just Ok on the verge of not good. The flavors of the toppings were strong and on mine overpowered the fish. Her's tasted like it had came out a crock pot and to cane with a side of beans and rice that we could have sworn was out of a box. Grafton needs this place and as such we will go back to try again. Just not on a Tuesday. Before we do though we will try out Hunters Grille. read more

First time here, and I was impressed. Nice quality decor, without being at all pretentious. I was in the mood for a flatbread, and ordered one which was like having a Big Mac pizza - beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and thousand island dressing. The flatbread can easily serve two - I brought half of it home as leftovers. I paired the flatbread with a juicy hazy IPA on draft. It was just what the doctor ordered after a long day including several hours on the road. read more
