I went back and grabbed a second drink so that I could meet the minimum. When the cashier checked the price, the total for the two drinks was $4.99. Even though it was only one cent short, she still refused to complete the transaction and told me that it was not $5. Honestly, this was extremely frustrating and completely unnecessary. Refusing a purchase over one cent, especially after I had already added another item to meet the minimum, is ridiculous and very poor customer service. The entire experience was unacceptable and frankly quite disappointing. I hope management seriously reviews this policy and how customers are being treated. I do not recommend this store to anyone.

Its a small store with very few products, humble environment, some of the shelves are empty. If you can ignore those things which really didnt bother me or my husband, you can do your shopping and find your African staples to eat. My husband and I noticed that the prices were still high (given the costs to import items) but not nearly as high as Man Must Wak in Oakland which, in my opinion, is really taking advantage of the African community, knowing that there are barely any competetors and they have the monopoly in Oakland.
