Came in for a fried fish and boy, it did not disappoint. First off, the meat was all reasonably priced and that goes for the fish. Second, it was very clean. Third, the workers at the meat counter were all very nice and helpful. Ordered fish to be fried and while it was being prepared, walked through the aisles. There was a lot of everything to chose from and although we didn't need anything, it was a good mental note for when I do need something. We got some produce and all of it looked good, not wilted or sad, so I was very impressed. We took the fish home and it was so much better than we've had at other places. Was running errands nearby and stopped in for a bit to check out this community asian grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised. They had a good selection of the dried asian spices I was looking for to resupply my pantry and some weekly special discounts on ribeye steak and pork chops. Veggie and produce selection is modest but with reasonable prices. I especially like their small ice cream refrigerator near the front entrance. It had some unique fruit shaped ice cream I haven't tried yet and a few single a la carte wafer sandwiche style bars. I went here for the first time on Friday around late noon and everything was going well until It was time to pay. There was 2 cashiers, one tall guy and a girl. The girl was my cashier, and she had an attitude the whole time. When I asked for a bag she just told me to have a good day and stared at me until I left. Convenient Asian grocery store for fresh produce, fruits and ingredients. It's located in the Arroyo Center, which is a small strip mall, right across from Arroyo High. There's plenty of parking. Pacific Ranch has very organized aisles and the different sections are laid out neatly. When I am unable to make a trip out to Oakland Chinatown for my groceries, I like to come here for specific ingredients to make Asian dishes. Safeway and Lucky's are good alternatives, but it's not the same. I prefer an Asian grocery store because they carry many different products that normal American grocery stores do not. There are several restaurants close by, so it's great to come here after a meal, to stroll around and do some shopping. I would highly recommend a visit to Pacific Ranch for your cooking or baking needs. read more

What a very clean store. They have top-tier produce that never seems old. The meat is also pretty great not too pricey. They also have a good variety of beverages as well. If you do not want to go to Lucky's and spend a ton on meat and produce, this is the place to go to and they have every meat and seafood item you can think of. And the staff are very friendly as well. I also like how when three or more people are waiting in line, another cashier always opens up the second lane which is very nice. Summary: We found this place by Yelper and it is an awesome discovery. It is WAY better than 99 Ranch. Outside: Big parking lot on a quiet street. You won't notice it much. The exterior is not fancy at all. (The building is a bit older) Inside: Cleaned and organized. As you explore, you will notice little things that makes this place solid. 1) Variety/Selections: Everything from meat, seafood, veggie to packaged, they have a huge variety. My little ones love it here. We love going to the food market and getting entree plate with diniguan and beef steak. The sinigang is good as well. Awesome Asian grocery store within a residential area. Cooking dinner and forgot that you don't have garlic? Don't fret they have it! Are you making sushi bake and need Tobiko (fish roe)? Yep they got it! Need steaks for that impromptu backyard bbq because someone left a case of IPO in your fridge? They have rib eye! Basically, they have most of what you're looking for. Banana ketchup for Filipino spaghetti? Yup they just restocked! Organized enough where you can find whatever it is you're looking for. Workers are pretty nice too with great service! Oh, this is the only grocery store where I was able to get a great variety of fruits for my centerpiece for NYE. I usually find the rare/difficult to find fruits like guava, cherimoya (guyabano), lanzones, rambutan, to name a few. Was looking for Thai ingredients and this place came up in the Yelp search...first time at this place and its very clean, organized, plenty of parking. without the chaos. Specifically, looking for galanga - Thai version of ginger, shallots, shrimp paste (most places have shrimp sauce), green thai chili peppers and found other yummy items like Lao sausage, frozen vietnamese eggrolls, POG (passionfruit, orange, guava) juice and an aisle full of soup bases for pho (bun bo hue, bo kho, rieu, etc) and dried rice noodles and wraps. Fresh meat/seafood dept....they'll even clean and cook your seafood for you....will have to come back another day for that. This place is a smaller version of the larger chains (no bakery, no deli) but definitely would retun as it doesn't have the crowds and hectic parking lot. read more

Where has this hidden gem been all this time? We had no idea we had such a great Asian market near us. For someone who cooks a lot of Vietnamese and Thai food, the Island Pacific market near Target on Hesperian wasn't carrying any of the non-Filipino things I needed so a quick Yelp search from my husband revealed another choice: Pacific Ranch. Everything from my favorite brand of Korean spicy ramen to all the ingredients I need to make a delicious bowl of khao soi -- I am so happy Pacific Ranch is in our neighborhood! Really liked coming to this market. I've been tired of going to places like Ranch 88 that are dirty and really smell. I expect the typical smells from Asian markets but this place market was really pleasant. Clean inside, things are orderly, and people were friendly. Also the parking situation was really mellow. A smaller market yet filled with hard to find Asian herbs around here. Their produce is fresh as it gets and I LOVE coming here for everything. The butchers are all sweet, the meat and seafood are fresh! We love getting our flank steak and ox rail for pho here. She would not pack the groceries for my grandmother who is over 90 and pushed her items to the end and helped the next customer. All the cashier wanted was sales. As someone who just moved to the bay area from Little Saigon of Westminster, CA, I love this little slice of seemingly authentic Asian grocery. The area felt predominantly Hispanic or white until I found this place which caters to everything I miss from Asian grocery and cuisine. It's a fairly spacious supermarket with always accessible parking. I've never seen its modest lot fill up entirely but there's still plenty of side street parking and another lot across the way. Once you walk in, your eyes are drawn to discover the place either clockwise or counter-clockwise starting with either the meats or produce. From there for a newcomer, exploring the aisles are pretty easy as you'll find everything from spices, seasonings, snacks, canned goods, refrigerated goods, and everything in between. Mostly, I'm happy to find things I don't typically find as easily in normal mainstream supermarkets like pho, Asian branded broth, beef balls, some more exotic instant noodles, and steamed pork. It's not even that big of a market, and yet I can find everything I want/need (marinated milkfish, mi goreng packets, spring roll wrappers, lumpia wrappers, somen noodles, spiced coconut vinegar, and they even have salted egg and balut!
