Excelente servicio. La comida deliciosa, y las vistas mas hermosas del Valle de Guadalupe. Me encanta que el enfoque de este restaurant es la gastronomía Mexicana, y en particular la de Michoacan. Muy recomendado. Excelent service. Delicious food. Spectacular views of Valle de Guadalupe. Most of all, I loved how the cuisine here was inspired by the Mexican state of Michoacan. I highly recommend it.

Cant remember but it was mushrooms- vegan

So thankful we found this beautiful hidden gem. I picked this place because it had good reviews on Yelp and on Open Table. It also has vegan options, so thats why we ultimately came here. I won't lie when you are driving to it, it feels like you are in the middle of no where. Do not that deter you. Keep going. Once you park you have a little hike up, but WOW! What a view. We were lucky enough to over look the hills in a pretty private area and it made all the difference. Our dinner was so private and romantic. Although the server didn't speak the best English (thats our bad for not knowing Spanish in Mexico), we were able to communicate just enough to get an amazing dinner. Very thankful for this experience and vegan options in the Valle. We will be back and highly recommend it

Our best wine tasting experience so far in the Valle. Bold reds! I asked to skip the whites and was able to taste all 4 available reds and revisit 2. Thanks so much to the accommodating, polite, staff with great English, making it an easy experience for us Los Angelinos! Amazing views out at the tables in the sun during a winter Sunday. Not too many people at the venue. We were a bit hesitant driving in our rental minivan but made it through the puddle (lakes) just fine and didn't get stuck. 250mxn per person for a tasting, well worth it as we were seated with amazing valley views. We will be back soon. Give love and tip your hardworking servers!

I've been here 3 times and each time has been spectacular. It's down a long dirt road but nearly anything worth sampling in Valle is down a long dirt road and is worth the venture. The service is superb The food is superior The value is worth a 4th trip

We were honestly just driving around when we came across this hidden gem. It's outdoor and rustic but so beautiful. There's two different menus located within this restaurant and then another separate menu/restaurant at the top of the hill overlooking the entire valley. We decided to eat here instead and not have a four or six course meal. Food and service were both top notch, we will return again.

The place is absolutely beautiful but the food was not up to par. I love how they had the house water infused with herbs and service was also great. I had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The one thing that was really good and the highlight of the meal was the Atun Jarocho, tuna tostada so good! But none of the other plates really stood out and the corunda broth was a bit on the greasy side. All the plates were beautifully plated just wished the food was equally as good.

This is an amazing place. The inside is minimal but beautiful. Our waitress was excellent &she spoke both English & Spanish. They have about 4 dogs that I saw that roamed the outside area, I loved that. there aren't many choices but it tastes great. The chef is from Michoacan & the food tastes authentic. The entrees are not very large portions but regular . The appetizers are on the smaller side but you can expect that from most gourmet restaurants. It was my first time there and I thought it was very cool place to dine at.

Martin was our sommelier and he took incredible care of us, speaking English so that most of our group could follow along. We ordered small bites that were simply indulgent: each bite was hand crafted onsite and tasted phenomenal. We weren't rushed and took our time enjoying the 5-lable tasting. We wandered the grounds and soaked in the incredible scenery along the valley, the rolling hills filled with vineyards and punctuated with lavender to make the whole experience something out of a storybook. Martin took the time to help some in our party who had never before done a tasting, which was really helpful for me (not a novice but nowhere close to a pro). The wines were delicious, made all the more flavorful as learned the notes beforehand so our palates could get the cheat code. Even though there are so many wineries left to discover on The Wine Route in Ensenada, we would definitely return to Vino Xecue because the experience was simply unforgettable.

Trying to get them off of me was not easy and nobody who worked there seemed to care. I got them off and walked away- and they bit my calf so hard that it bled. They were cute and I love dogs- but not great for a fancy place. The entire time they came over to the table and begged for food and jumped up on me. Location was gorgeous and wine was pretty good- tasting was expensive and they poured enough for one sip only. The food was great, but also expensive for such small portions. You'd think after the dogs making me bleed there'd be some generous pours or something- but nope! Some of the tastings were under a single ounce. Overall gorgeous location and great tasting wine and food- but won't be returning due to the outrageously small portions, expensive price, and dining experience with biting and begging dogs.

I ended up doing the tequila tasting since I absolutely suck at drinking wine, and honestly, it was such a fun experience. The roof is literally made of old fishing boats flipped upside down over the cellar. The owner is a retired ship captain, so once you walk inside it all clicks. It's funky and a little weird, and I loved it. Our host was a gem. Knowledgeable, attentive, generous, and so into what he was pouring that he kept slipping us extras to try beyond our tasting. We tried some of their natural wines, and I LOVED them. The orange wine, especially. They reminded me of a good sour beer, kind of funky and tart, and I was very into it. Heads up, though: the rest of my group of four hated them. Natural wines are a love them or leave them situation. After our tasting, we hung out on the grounds and grabbed food from the Troika food truck out front, and honestly, we could have stayed all afternoon. The whole place is so unhurried, and after two more buttoned-up tastings, it was exactly what I needed. Different from the others, not better or worse. I really enjoyed the wine and the whole hangout, and I'll absolutely be back on our next trip.

This place is located in the Valle de Guadalupe, Baja Mexico. I wasn't always a fan of the wine…read morefrom this area. But over the last two decades they have made large strides in quality with new modernization techniques. Besides all of the wine makers that have been here for generations, others (Spain, France, and Italy) from around the world have joined in wine making in the area. The area has all of the basic ingredients (proper climate and soil) needed to make great wine. The area sits in the same latitude as the great wine making areas of the Mediterranean. As a result, now I am a big fan of the area's wine. Now many compare the area to Tuscany Italia before the big tourist rush occurred. The greater area is also home to many Michelin rated restaurants with a great ocean/farm to table menu (carta). Organic and sustainability are fully represented in restaurants as well. If you love seafood, then this place is heaven because of the abundance of fresh seafood from both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. I predict that once the new airport in Ensenada is built then this place is going to explode with tourism. Currently, having to fly into Tijuana then take a bus or private transport has been the only way to reach this area from most places in the US with the exception of southern California. People in southern California are lucky enough to drive down for a weekend because it's just that close to them. It's the equivalent of people from Chicago spending a weekend in wine country in Michigan, Indiana, or Wisconsin. In all honesty there is no comparison because most wine in the Midwest is mediocre at best. The problem in the Midwest is the climate extremes which are not suitable to most popular wine varietals. Even when I do find wine from the Midwest that I like, it usually has at least $50-$60 price tag. At a typical grocery store in Spain or Portugal very good bottle of wine is sometimes cheaper than a bottle of water! Under $10 a bottle pricing gets you very good wine, above that you can have even better quality. The winery is beautiful even in the winter. I like to visit in the winter because although it's not super warm here, I go from wearing a winter jacket to wearing a light jacket or sweater. The nights can drop into the 40s which is still much better than a winter polar vortex back home. There is a lot less people, therefore, I can also get into the best restaurants in the area. My rental flat had absolutely no neighbors until the last day when it was time to leave. The isolation was very nice because the grounds are beautiful and very full of life. A huge assortment of birds make this their winter getaway from the harsh winters up north. Citrus fruit was in season down here and the neighboring property had an orchard of trees filled with oranges. The property has a few nice pathways to walk after mealtimes. I also enjoyed the outdoor wine tour which explores the different varietals fields with an enthusiastic guide that was quick witted with jokes. The wine pourings that accommodate the tour were delicious and wisely chosen. I also opted to take the wine cave tour right after the outside tour. How was the cave tour? It was disappointing and frustrating. First of all, as I patiently waited to be taken down to the cave from their gift shop area they forgot about me. They have a list of who is supposed to go down and yet they still went down without everyone?!? Finally a cashier notices that I'm just walking around not shopping and asked me if I was waiting for someone. I told him that I was waiting for the cave tour to begin. He got a hold of the tour guide who had already gone down with some of the group and he came up to retrieve us. Those that were already in the cave, already had been served food that was optional to order with the tasting. After several pourings in the previous tour, yes, I was ready to have some food to lessen the impact of more pourings. Also, they had a nice selection of items that would complement the pourings. Somehow, they forgot about me again, and I noticed others were getting a different presentation than I was on the same tour. Okay, now a sense of frustration is overcoming me and I mention the oversights to the guide. He lied to me and told me that the others had a different level of wine tasting. This disorganized tour was also set up backwards because there should have been a walking tour of the fermentation area first then tastings afterwards. Besides the bad cave tour that I definitely don't recommend. Everything else was great with the exception of the cold washroom on cold nights. They have very nice employees, beautiful grounds, very good breakfast, and a great dinner restaurant called Latitude on the property. Would I come back? Yes, because besides a few frustrating moments the rest was great.

Overall, i would say there are so many other wineries around Valle de Guadalupe that offer better services/food and drinks.
