What a nice experience at Casa Mariano. Everything was delicious, service was nice and attentive, and the place is modern, clean, and beautiful! Food taste and quality was the highlight. For appetizers we tried the ossobuco croquettes, Marcella spring rolls, and French onion soup. All great but the French onion soup was phenomenal! For entrees we got the ribeye, linguine alla vongole, cod fish pil pil, and the Wagyu burger. The cod fish was perfection. The ribeye was also cooked to perfect medium rare temp. The burger was huge and tasty, and the linguine was delicious just the pasta was a little overcooked. For dessert we had the pistachio cheesecake and the balcarce. We've been meaning to check out this place for a while. Seemed very cozy from the outside. Cute string lights with both inside and outdoor seating. Modern and intimate interior design. Great for a date night or any type of event. They have a large family room that can be used for hosting birthday parties. Food- we were very pleased by everything we ate. The beef carpaccio was very fresh and flavorful. You can ask for the olive oil on the side like I did in case you don't like it too oily. Our main courses, the ravioli and duck breast were also very delicious. The ravioli came with a cream sauce that appeared perfectly with the semi sweet, shredded beef that filled the ravioli. The duck breast was cooked perfectly, not over seasoned, and came paired with what appear to be a pan fried risotto, which to my surprise was really good. Overall, we enjoyed every item. For drinks, I had a glass of Paso Robles and my partner had a sangria. The sangria is not on the menu, but you can ask them to make it for you. They do not make cocktails or have hard liquor. This is a small extremely cute restaurant in an industrial site in North Miami. It's not only food, but art... part Spanish tapas part Mediterranean cuisine...what impressed me most was their Papas Bravas tapa... a master piece fixed with thin layers of potato crowned with tiny cubes of tuna and caviar!!! Wow, wow, wow! I've driven by Casa Mariano hundreds of times (my mother lives in Doral) and have always wanted to stop in. Last night, my boyfriend and I invited my mom and sister to dinner, and it was the perfect opportunity to finally visit. From the moment we walked in, the experience was flawless. The host was warm and welcoming, seating us immediately. Our waitress, Alicia, was absolutely lovely; beaming smile, great energy, super attentive, and genuinely helpful. We started with a bottle of Mendoza, Argentina Chardonnay and three appetizers that were as gorgeous on the plate as they were on the palate: * Tenderloin Carpaccio -- Portobello mushrooms, arugula, Parmigiano Reggiano, capers, poached tomatoes, red onions. All the meat eaters at the table raved about it. * Tuna & Stracciatella -- Passion fruit and nori. I'll admit, tuna and cheese sounded unusual, but it was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely perfect. * Butternut Squash Salad -- Arugula, goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, hazelnut-maple vinaigrette. Oh. My. Goodness. This might be one of the most beautiful & best tasting salads I've ever had! The flavor combinations were flawless. For mains: * My sister kept it light with the Signature French Onion Soup and Truffle French Fries (which I sampled. YUM). * My boyfriend and mother both chose the Butterfly Branzino with lemon caper butter sauce and asparagus--crispy skin, moist interior, and a sauce worth mopping up. * I went for the Blackened Salmon with sweet corn risotto, artichokes, and cherry tomatoes. The spice rub was spectacular, with a noticeable hint of star anise, and the risotto tasted like summer in a bowl. Even though we were full, dessert was non-negotiable. We shared the Goat Cheese Flan with passion fruit and honey sauce. Whoa! Flan was super silky & tangy due to the goat cheese. The sauce was amazing & bright & had little pieces of crunchy sour bits! Amazing contrast of textures & flavours. One of my favorite desserts in recent memory. The interior is beautiful, the ambiance spot-on, and the staff outstanding. We had planned a wonderful evening, we were two couples getting together after a long hiatus, the restaurant was beautiful, menu looked great what could go wrong? Our friends had been here previously and highly recommended the place. And with an almost 5 star review it was perfect. When I arrived I was surprised it was in a one story commercial building, which proves that when a restaurant is great people find it. The servers were so nice and helpful with the order. We ordered the osso buco croquettes, shared the goat cheese salad, osso buco ravioli that was amazing, pumpkin ravioli that was delicious. Strip steak was ordered well done and was tender and juicy and their famous lasagna. Caesar salad. So what went wrong? We had in the adjacent table, a family with kids out of control. Yes I know kids are kids but these were making so much noise and disruptive we really couldn't have a conversation. My friend was getting a headache. Frankly I thought they were friends of the owners because even after we made a couple of complaints and the manager spoke to that table, they made no real efforts to contain their kids. Coincidentally another couple friend arrived and immediately complained too. After this family paid the bill one of the ladies approached our table and started berating my friend, and a third table. Then left the restaurant shouting at everyone about kids. Wow. I could have done without the show. And if it wasn't raining we would have sat outside. Great little gem in Doral! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful environment and both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor space has a relaxed vibe, while the inside feels a bit more posh and upscale. The service was attentive throughout. We started with a special appetizer--smoked salmon with capers in a ponzu sauce--and I'm so glad we ordered it. It was incredibly tender and absolutely amazing. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and my favorite were the croquettes. We tried the empanada of the day which was filled with meat. That was good but a little too heavy for my liking. The burrata was just ok but the favorite was the goat cheese stuffed dates! I got a short rib pasta for my meal and it was delicious. My colleagues enjoyed their lamb chops, avocado salad and raviolis. We didn't have dessert but it looked yummy! The service was a bit slow and we did have to keep asking for more water and wine. The "spring rolls" were Morcilla which is blood sausage so I'm not sure how to categorize those. lol. We had the Greek appetizer of hummus and tzatziki with 3 fried zucchini chips. That was meh... I know the location/area can be deceiving, but i booked my reservation thru Open Table, stated business lunch, and they assigned me the private room with a wonderful TV & AV equipment. Loved the private room, it was perfect for my working lunch meeting, we indulged in delicious pulpo al olivo, pesto burrata, tuna tartate, and for main dish I had the salmon with risotto. Recently checked Casa Mariano out for a friend's bridal brunch and wow, was I surprised! This is a true hidden gem -- we arrived around 12 pm and tried out the Miami Spice menu, I was excited to try this spot out because a few friends who live around the area mentioned how much they loved it, but I was not expected for it to be this good! I ordered the smoked salmon dish that sat in a bed of tzatziki sauce... chefs kiss. Then I ordered the true star of the show; short rib eggs Benedict. The short rib was so tender, almost melting as I ate each bite. The combination of flavors was so good -- I'd go back just for this dish. Lastly, the dessert... wow if you've read my reviews by now you know I'm a dessert lover and these desserts did not disappoint. The chef wanted us to try a few of their signature desserts (rather than their Miami spice menu options) and we were open to that, so we ended up with the pavlova, goat cheese flan, hazelnut tiramisu, cream brûlée crepe, and the cinnamon roll -- each dessert was perfection. I couldn't resist indulging and have zero regrets. The service was great + last but certainly not least their ambiance inside is so cute, very Mediterranean blue, and very chic. We went as two couples with our kids, spent around $700, and it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. On their own website, they claim: "The design is intimate and calming, making Chef Mariano's casa as comforting as your own." The reality could not have been further from that. There was nothing comforting, nothing welcoming -- only arrogance, poor management, and zero hospitality. A couple of nearby tables decided our kids were "a problem" (when in reality they weren't screaming or out of control, just being kids). Instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner escalated it by asking one of my friends to stand up and talk in private in the middle of dessert -- completely unnecessary and disrespectful. When I addressed him respectfully, he started talking about some supposed "law" that made no sense, then accused me of "disrespecting" him, which I never did. He gave a half-hearted apology, walked away, and ignored us. To make matters worse, another server responded with attitude when I asked for the check. Meanwhile, the owner was busy apologizing to other tables instead of addressing the situation with us. This restaurant sells itself as "intimate and comforting," but the reality is the exact opposite. If you have kids, don't bother coming here. Poorly managed, rude staff, and absolutely no sense of hospitality. read more

The restaurant has both inside and outside dining options for those who want the choice on a beautiful Florida night. The menu is not big, but it certainly has great options for every taste. We had the lentil salad as an appetizer, and it was delicious... fresh, and nicely seasoned. The main courses we ordered were linguini vongole and a pistachio bacon crusted corvina. Both incredibly good. The wine list without being big it has great wines at a moderate price. Service was perfect... attentive, but not intrusive. I had such an amazing experience in this restaurant. I love the ambiance and the service was super quick. I went on lunch time and it wasn't packed. I did make reservations in advance just in case. I had the dates appetizer and it was soooo delicious. For the entree I had the bacon churrasco with a ceaser salad and it was soo good I will have order this again. Professional & attentive service, lovely modern decor and ambiance, very nice wine selection, and an overall spectacular meal. From the moment we entered our server Jorge was very welcoming and attentive, even bringing me a hook for my purse (great little detail). We were a group of 5 and had the tuna, lomo saltado empanada, ham croquetas, and provoleta. All of them were delicious, the empanadas was highlight for me. For dinner we had the 48 hr sous vide malta short rib with cacio pepe risotto, famous lasagna and the milenese. All delicious but thr short rib was out of this world. We went here for a work event and I am not sure how they found this hidden gem, but it is a definite must try. The appetizers of goat cheese stuffed dates and short rib empanadas were mouthwatering and we all had to remember to leave room for the main course. Speaking of main courses, there were three on our menu and our table made sure all were ordered and tried by everyone. The homemade gnocchi were deliciously creamy, the salmon was light and flaky and the prime picanha was seasoned well and very tender. Today, my husband's plate was incorrectly brought out and he had to wait almost 20 minutes for his actual meal to come out. This restaurant was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every single plate that I ordered, not one disappointed! To start, I ordered the patatas bravas which had mussels aioli (didn't taste fishy at all!) along with an order of the empanadas which were divine. As my entree I ordered the picanha cut steak (medium rare which was beautifully executed) paired with truffle fries. Then for my personal favorite I ordered for desert the Nutella tiramisu and the tocinollo del cielo. My sister ordered their special pineapple desert which was so interesting and came with coconut flavored gelato. It's cute because it has seating area outside and inside. I liked the modern yet elegant design inside. I had for the first time, a Lebanese wine and a pair really nice with the appetizers which were my favorite part of the dinner. My fish as a main entry was tasty, but I wouldn't order again since I fell in love with the appetizers. I got the dates stuffed with goat cheese and bacon. And I also got the morcilla eggrolls.
